Okay the other day I showed you making two different kind of lid. One with the
nut first, throw the nut first and the other one is the throwing the upside
down lid. So I will trim the nut later. So this is the two lids. This one is
fitting good in here. This one is a little bit too big so I will trim a
little bit so that it will fit better. And I usually make my lid a tiny
little bit wider so they will have a nice fit there. So this is a little bit big so it's okay.
I will put it aside and then after I finish trimming the bottom, I will finish
trimming the lid and the nut.
So after I burnish a little bit, I'm going to use my number three trimming tool
turn it upside down and before I trim the lid, I will show you how the lid is fitting.
So this one, the nut first, is fitting good in here. I actually trim a
little bit here so it's actually fitting. Remember the other day when I throw the
lid upside down, I told you that I have a little pedestal here. So after I cut it,
I move with the pedestal. It doesn't ruin the outer part of the lid. Once it gets dry,
I just use a very thin cutting line to just cut it off. So that's the bottom part here.
Still thick, so I'm going to put it here using this as a chuck and then trim. So this part
will be thinner. I'm putting it inside here using the gallery as a chuck to hold it.
Maybe put a little bit of clay to hold it so I can trim the middle part.
So it will be much thinner now, that holding clay.
It's thinner that I put it upside down on the trim. So it's just dropping
here. So this is one kind of a lid. I throw the nut first.
And then trim the nut later. So I bring this over here.
Let it fit a little bit wide here on the outer part and also a little bit wide on here too.
So I'm going to trim the inside gallery a little bit so that the part can drop in easier.
Put this aside and then try to
trim the outer part. The inside part is fitting now, but the outer part isn't quite fit yet.
So I'm going to remove a little bit of clay from the outer part before I trim the nut.
The whole piece back and then try to fit and now it's fitting in there. Okay, so that's good.
And then I want to do the final trimming, getting the nut done.
Right, for trimming the nut, eventually I'm going to use this one because I need to go underneath
to cut so that my finger could fit in underneath. This is my number three.
For the rough trimming, I'm using my regular number two.
Okay, so the very final step, I will put the chattering texture on here.
Okay, so that's how I finish my lid. That's how I finish my lid to show you
the chattering texture on trimming the nut. This lid is fitting nicely and tight inside the gallery.
I have both the gallery on the body and also on the lid. So this is one type of
lid and body. And then I'll show you a different type of lid. I'll show the nut first.
So this is the second kind of lid. I don't know which one you like. I personally like this kind of
