It's a distinct South American feel here from Sweden.
And welcome to our special edition of International Friendly Action
as Brazil gets set to take on Chile here from Gothenburg, Sweden.
Glad you could join us.
Yes, very attack minded.
The important thing is you have Kaká that will play behind the two forwards.
You have Robinho, Ronaldinho, Gaucho will play on the left side,
but he'll also be free.
It's not very well flicked on that time.
Throw for Gilberto.
It's knocked back.
Luis Jimenez trying to get in back there with Gilberto
and it's well won out by Robinho.
It's choppy here.
Not bad, but this is good commitment from the attackers of Chile to come back
and not allow a player like Robinho to have a clean movement
going against one on one.
He's so good.
It's going to be that type of commitment for 90 minutes for Chile
if they want to disrupt that.
But they didn't have Ronaldinho, they didn't have Robinho.
That's the difference.
They can play very well with Kaká on both sides of the ball,
controlling the rhythm, the flow and managing the match.
Robinho from Real Madrid.
Lovely piece of skill around Figueroa.
And the sparkling Brazilian now showing his quality.
This is Ronaldinho.
And on the run, Fred left to chase the lost cause.
Tangled against the likes of Brazil.
And this is the first dynamic movement you see of a Brazilian player
one on one positioning right here, Christian.
I mean, he's got his orders not to allow him the freedom to get in the area.
And so the penalty given here and who else but Ronaldinho to take it.
The two time player of the year against Claudio Bravo.
And this one to open it up.
Ronaldinho.
No mistake about it.
And Mr. Fantastic gets Brazil off to a bright beginning
inside a quarter of an hour.
One nil here in Gothenburg.
And this is really what Brazil was missing, Christian,
in the last match against Portugal to make the best of their opportunities,
get the momentum so they can start playing their football on the rhythm.
They just had a spell of about five, six minutes
where they started pouring it on a little bit.
The attackers were getting into the attack.
Ronaldinho, great approach.
Certainly they've shown their combative streaks here
and a rugged physical style at times here in the center of the park.
Robinho.
Some options here.
That little diamond.
Now it's opened up for Robinho.
Well said by Claudio Bravo.
But the space opened up, Christopher.
And Robinho showed no hesitation.
Well, this is fantastic.
This is the first time we see the pause in the slow movement from Robinho.
It needed to go a little bit back further the way he combined with Kaká.
But there's Kaká.
He holds up the ball, drops it off, they take it.
Once the usual list of deficiencies for Brazil,
despite all their attacking brilliance,
they do have problems in the aerial dimension of the game.
Spots and Kaká.
Just a reminder, coming up on Wednesday, more live UEFA Euro 2000.
Ronaldinho, the supple skill that we're used to seeing
out of the magnificent Brazilian.
Duga may have said to these guys, he said,
hey, don't come out at the beginning of the first half like you did
or in the second half like you did in the first half.
And it doesn't look as though they're doing it.
But good linkage here.
Those triangles opening up.
It's a little short linking passing play.
We talked about it earlier.
We didn't see in the first half.
Ronaldinho Gaucho was not in that 30-0 grade ball.
And on the bicycle, off the post.
And the return.
And Robinho certainly should have done better.
But that may be Brazil at its finest.
Everything but the finish.
We see right here, he took a knock, a little contusion on the outside of his leg.
And maybe that played a part in the second rebound.
But this is a great ball right here.
He's looking as if he's going to play it in the air.
Sets himself up.
Got Kaká waiting at the box.
Surprise right here.
Chileno, boom.
Hits the post and he gets back up.
Can raise it three or four levels from here.
It's not a good goal kick that time from Bravo.
And it's opened up for Robinho.
Still Robinho.
And eventually he shoved off of it.
It was a bit of a late foul, though, against Ismael Fuentes.
And he's going to be booked for it.
And it was just at the top of the penalty area.
Yeah, we have to take a look at this.
And the replay.
Robinho again getting in an isolated position.
Kaká rolls behind him into the area.
So he's looking away from him.
He doesn't have anyone to pass to.
Gets two or three yards back.
And this is right where he likes it.
And what can the deadly Brazilian conjure up this time?
He's been a magician in the past.
Is there another rabbit in his hat?
Low driven ball.
And exactly what you like.
Abracadabra.
It's Ronaldinho for the second time today.
And Chile staring up at the bottom of a three nil deficit here in Sweden.
Well, this one takes my breath away.
This is unbelievable.
I mean, you feel all the pressure.
Most players would put it high in the air and trying to bend it over the wall.
He just sees that, hits it so low again, like his penalty kick.
Even faster tempo.
There's an option.
Regardless, it goes straight into the heart of the Brazilian defense.
And Robinho likes to do it.
Gives it away.
There you wake up Ronaldinho.
The ball came and went well.
For Kaká. For Ronaldinho Gaucho.
For Kaká.
First, a slap on the ball.
Putting it to play on Gilberto's left.
Then to Ronaldinho Gaucho.
The ball hits the Brazilian team.
Gilberto.
Gilberto, Ronaldinho.
Ronaldinho, Gilberto.
Turns it to Levy.
Look at the cross.
Ronaldinho.
Goal.
It's from Brazil.
Brazil.
Down 4-0 in a game where we've tried to do everything correctly.
Well done from Ronaldinho.
Manager Nelson Acosta.
What I like about the last sequence from Chile
is the way that they were able to connect to him in the midfield.
He makes himself.
Comes into a deep position.
The Chilean was one of, you know,
you talk about the extinction of a number 10 position.
And Jorge Vargas has been put for descent.
It's Gonzalez seeking to run at Robinho.
The two number 11s collide and Kaká wins it back.
Ricky Kaká now.
Supported by the effervescent Ronaldinho.
One more man to beat and this may be it for Fred.
Minero dropping centrally.
Ronaldinho continues to play on with 15 minutes left.
Purely academic at this point.
Chance for some of these younger players to impress Dunga.
Maybe it will be different.
They'll meet on July 1st in Maturín, Venezuela.
Second group B fixture in the Copa América.
Here's Ronaldinho.
That they were able to express themselves
a little bit technically.
But once you allow them to start establishing a rhythm,
they pull it up three or four levels with speed.
And you've seen it right now.
You give them the opportunity to stay on the ball
and move and connect and combine.
And the level goes first gear, second gear,
third gear, whoop, chow.
Here it is, exactly what you're talking about.
And it's a good piece of skill,
but in the end, Robinho just gives up.
Yeah, I think that it's important when you play,
you have to push.
For CSK Moscow and then we've got one of these guys.
It certainly is something you want to see
stamped out of football.
Despite the adulation and adoration
this man has for Ronaldinho.
And the Swedish authorities quick to extinguish it.
And now it's become a bit of craziness here
as more players have come out.
And you really hate to see this in modern day football.
