Hi everyone, welcome to Korea Eat Happy.
This is Otsukaron.
Today I wanted to share with you how to make Rusty.
It's a Swiss dish, crispy potato pancake.
It was suggested by my viewers after potato digging and oh my gosh, I finally tried it
and it was really good and my kids loved it.
My son is really picky these days but he ate really well.
This time I tried Rusty without any filling, the very basic and simple way so if you have
any filling recommendation, please let me know in the comment field.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video.
If you haven't ever tried it, please try it out.
Here are the ingredients.
Using the large holes of grater, grate peeled potatoes in a mixing bowl.
Do not rinse the potatoes.
You want the starch to hold the Rusty together.
Season with salt and pepper and start to combine.
Actually, I forgot and it didn't affect but you do want to squeeze the potatoes to remove
excess moisture so they are very dry when you start to cook them.
Heat butter in a frying pan.
Spread the potatoes.
Cook on low for 5 minutes until the underside is crisp golden brown.
Flip it over, cook on low for another 5 minutes or simply just cook more on both sides if
necessary.
You can add lots of butter to make it super crispy.
When both sides are golden and crispy, it's done.
Top with parsley flakes, green onions, dill or anything if you like.
Thank you very much for watching.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
