Near Rembrandt Square a five-minute walk away is the flower market whic
It is a market that has been here since 1862 and is very famous for that especially for the flowers
For the tulips which is the national flower of the Netherlands they came from Turkey
And yet they have been very important throughout history
Well here you have many sales options
especially well mainly tourist-related
They are already selling the small packages you can buy the plant the bulbs if you want to take them out
of the country or even give it to you with health certificates in case you need to take it to
The United States Canada and so on meaning everything is ready and all kinds of souvenirs related to it
Everything about the flower market is moving towards the center towards Damm Square
It is Kabelstratt which is one of the main commercial streets especially now
The most common and global stores like H&M Zara all of these are on this street
Then well if you want to do some shopping it's also a very good area and also
You have a lot of food topics since I already told you that potatoes are very
Typical there are many potato stands hamburger places hot dog stands pizza places and also a candy theme
There are many candy and cookie shops selling typical Dutch sweets such as waffles
Crêpes which are much flatter crêpes
Then all that meaning you have here if you 're greedy you have a lot to choose from
Another typical thing in Amsterdam are the little boats the small boats through whic
You can go through the different channels to see the views on the sides and also enjoy the experience itself
Another one which is not as popular but which I recommend is to take the pedals
These are the little boats you pedal and we're on it
Here well more or less we're here swerving quite seriously
It seems like we're drunk
Oh here you see you go here pedaling
Seeing the pedalito is a bit hard to get the hang of at first but nothing especially not that
because many boats pass through and you have to give priority to all of them
With a motor and such but it's super quiet
If you come across channels like this where there's no one left they're all yours
There are no people walking around and it's very quiet very relaxing
So nothing else if you come by here and want to do something a bit more inside
From the touristy a bit more original this is your plan
After taking a walk through the center went to have a drink at a brewery well
A bar that's near the Heineken factory and the truth is that it's a really good place
A pretty normal bar but good we had some beers and some snacks there
We also tried a very typical Dutch dish which are like a type of meatballs
They are like fried bread and are quite tasty as an appetizer that is also not bad
It's something exceptional but okay it's fine like a snack and they serve these as
Practically all of these types of bars like pubs you will be able to find as a tapa
So nothing else highly recommended
We are waiting for the tram now were at the Heineken factory we had
The Heineken Experience which is a tour of the factory is not the current factory
The factory was built in 1860 and has been in use until about 30 years ago
but it became too small so they moved to another place but to this day
So it is used as a museum where they explain everything about the beer brewing process
Once inside the factory well the factory-museum the tour lasts about an hour
Halfway through if you entertain yourselves with all the explanations it basically becomes a bit of an introduction
According to the history of the place it was built by Mr Heineken in 1860 on an empty lot
It was then now it is in the center of Amsterdam but back then there was not much
And that has also made him very famous and they tell you the whole story oforest
beer then they explain everything about the beer making process whic
Well it's already very standardized with its four ingredients how they are combined
Different stages they tell all about that and then well they kind of talk about Heineken
In popular culture in all the places where they are sponsored and such and then a par
Finally they give you up to three beers with the ticket and then a part
Souvenirs then it's a pretty complete experience that's very much worth it
If you like beer especially if you like Heineken then it's an experience
It's great and offers you something different to do here in the city
One of the most typical desserts here from the Netherlands and Amsterdam in particular is the
Apple pie is very famous a place called Winter 43 which often has a Quarry
Surely when you come but now we are quite cold we have cold table and everything
And the apple pie is spectacular it's one of the few desserts it has but it's well worth it
And here I'm going to finish these vlogs from Amsterdam I hope you liked them yesterday
We just took another walk around the center after the apple pie part
And went to eat at an Italian place near the Red Light District which was good it was okay
It wasn't anything special but okay we felt like having some pasta for dinner
At that moment it was more than good and we closed the day and this morning we are going
For another destination I'll tell you in the next video so nothing else thank you for
We have made it this far and see you next time
