With every sunrise, our fears are falling.
It just feels right to chase the moon.
So let's go!
So today we are in the man cave.
And there's a lot of overlanders here.
Gathering.
Over the last weekend, we attended an overlanding event that was organised by this human.
Do you recognise him?
From our season 2 episode 6 live to drive story of 5 Malaysians in their classic VW combis
and a beetle driving from Malaysia to Germany to attend a VW event?
Well, this is Steven.
And that gorgeous vehicle behind him is his VW Safari.
Link up here to that episode if you missed it.
Thank you Steven and the owner of the man cave.
They provided us food and a chance to gather with other overlanders.
And as you can see, this event was not just for a specific brand or type of vehicle.
It was open to all sorts of vehicles with pop-up roof tents, ground tents, beds inside their vans,
MPVs, 4x4 trucks, you name it.
Even Bobo and his motorbike was there.
I'm from Senangwang.
I'm called Bobo Kemper Moto.
We also had the chance to meet this lovely couple, Jacinda and Martin,
who are from Singapore.
This is their Toyota HiAce and they have just started their overland journey
with intention to drive from Malaysia to Portugal.
Yes, we have asked them for the chance to shoot a van tour video of Bruce, their DIY camper.
Stay tuned for that.
What did family, parents and friends say when you decided to dress up and go?
No need to work.
And then he always tell his parents or his family,
Oh, I've been working for a long time.
I work very long already, 10 years.
Time for me to take a break.
Then my mum will roll her eyes.
You 10 years before, how long already?
Yeah, I want to take a break.
I'm Azad from Shah Alam Section 27.
I had this car for about, since 1995.
I bought it from the first four wheel drive club, Asian Adventure.
What is it? It's a Mitsubishi?
It's a Mitsubishi L300, L300 model 1984.
Registered 1984.
How much did you buy it for?
I bought it cash for $17,000.
Azad has a pull out wood base that supports his mattress.
He didn't give us a demonstration, but perhaps when we next meet up with him, he might.
At the back of his Delica, Azad made these swing out metal brackets,
similar to the ones we have on Van Halen.
Here is his outdoor kitchen.
This green container holds drinking water.
This is Azad's icebox.
He places the ice inside here.
As the ice melts into water, it is pumped into the sink with an electric pump.
And the water is used for washing dishes.
Or hands or anything like that.
We have a shower here.
Shower, shower?
Oh, it works!
Oh, very good. Fascinating.
So everything that's important, food, shower, and sleeping.
And so here we have the Anak Babi, they call this.
Pin Squire.
And they're setting up a tent here.
We are set up for emergency communication and for contesting also.
And this mobile is one MCOM mobile communication,
organized by Malaysian Amateur Radio Transmitter Society.
This is radio for high frequency.
This is very high frequency NPRS, for tracking system.
And this is GPS.
And here is for CW signal.
