Frozen Archery - 1 Shot Challenge "Competition"

We're coming on the air with this dangerous holiday storm in full gear. Temperature is going to be cold enough for frostbite to set in in a half hour or less. There will be arctic level cold air and freezing wind chills. Sometimes people think well I have socks and shoes on that's enough. It's not enough. I'm probably a little bit crazy but I didn't even want to shoot my bow today until I heard it was the coldest day of the year. Today it's me versus Kaz, one shot on each target 10 to 80 yards. Whoever has the most closest to the bullseye wins. Starting at 10 yards. I'm going to take the first shot. All right Kaz has started. That was pretty good. Oh man. Oh I think Kaz just got me. Very close. Very very close. You got it. With a bad shot. I got so lucky right there. Do your eyes hurt? Like my eyes are like frozen. Like they burn. My cheek feels like it's being poked with a needle sometimes. Frigid temperatures. Searing wind chill plus skin exposure. The perfect storm for frostbite. It's no B. Out to 30 yards. Kaz just had a terrible shot so if I don't get cocky I should win this one too. Nothing. Oh boy I better lock it in. This is not pretty. It's like negative 12. So is that 3-0? Yeah. 40 yards. Oh man. I think I might have got that one. That was a terrible shot. How do you feel about that last shot? I wasn't focused. I wasn't even paying attention. I was just like oh Kaz missed the target. I've got this. It's game over. And then you end up losing when you're not even thinking. I think I have to aim at the green roof. Something like that. Left. Let's go. Oh my that's awesome. Underneath the target. Let's go. Come on. To 70 yards. Now it's 3-3. We're just guessing at this point. I'm gonna aim 30 feet above or something. I don't know. What'd you do? I'm under the target and I aimed at least 30 feet above. 30 feet. Is this for the tie? No it's already tied. It's tied? This is to go ahead? Let's go. So Kaz is better at 70 yards than he is at 30. Your arrow go right underneath? Yeah. So this would be to tie it back up. Or to go up by two. Yeah. Gregory got the first three targets. I got the next four. Right underneath the target. All right. How do you feel your chances are? I think I've got a 95% chance of winning this. I just gotta hit the target. 80 yards. Let's put it right in the bullseye. Aim small. Miss small. Come on. Good game. There are a few of us. The wild, the misunderstood, the untamed. I know it doesn't really make sense but the harder the challenge, the greater the attraction. And to most it's silly or even stupid to shoot a bow in negative 12 degree weather. Yet the wild side of me knows there's only a few of us out here and for some reason that is special. So for all of you who are out there freezing your butts off, I see you. You're making a difference and the world needs you to do what no one else will. And if you think all of this is about archery, you would be mistaken. With meteorologists calling for more brooder, it's best to be ready.
