♪ Cause I don't give a **** what you say. Yeah, I'ma do ---- my way.
So you can go kick rocks, I'ma stack bricks up, build what I want to make.
Suns trailing.
And so in the game for the Suns.
DeAndre Ayton is out there with Bismack Biambo.
Then it's TJ Warren.
Then there's Devin Booker.
And it's Lee in a two guard.
Ayton against Zubats.
Fades.
The shot misses.
And Los Angeles the other way now.
Defeated by Milwaukee in their last game.
They'll try to put that one behind them.
And it seemed that not a lot went right for them.
Plenty of standing around on the offensive end.
And their D couldn't make up for it.
This was a brutal loss.
You can point fingers in a number of directions.
But the bottom line is, they just didn't have it tonight.
Booker can't get it to go.
And their physical dominance has been on display.
A 10 rebound advantage is a good indicator of how this game is going.
That one goes in.
Love the finish through contact.
Kawhi is even stronger than he looks.
Pass to Lee.
That's tipped.
Now Warren.
Boy, they need something to go to regain some confidence.
No question.
Way too many empty possessions for them.
Three on the clock.
George with a steal.
It's two on one.
Here's Leonard.
Ooh, and Leonard throws it down.
They're really dictating the tempo on both ends of the court.
You love it.
This has been an impressive performance tonight.
Even with a big lead, they've maintained their focus.
Phoenix no good that time either.
The Clippers have gone three of three to begin the second.
And pick and rolls never more prevalent in the league than they are right now.
And there's always someone the defense has to leave open in those scenarios, Grant.
Yeah, B.A., you know, it's amazing.
It's such a simple play, but it's so difficult to defend,
especially with the shooting that we now see in the NBA
and the great spacing on the floor.
It's a play, as you said, every team uses and executes well in their offensive attack.
So it's Phoenix now following the score by the Clippers.
Four on the clock.
Back to Aiden.
And it's good with time running down on the shot clock.
And that's just terrific body control by Aiden.
Setting a solid pick and then quickly getting himself open.
Here's Hyland.
No scoring yet from him, but that's likely to change.
Morris, left side.
Leonard.
And the dunk by Leonard.
They're simply not missing. Unreal.
Good shooting can be contagious.
You see the confidence change.
Craig has checked in for Biombo.
And now about three minutes gone in the second quarter here.
Aiden, no good.
And they're up considerably because of their efforts on the glass.
Past a man.
Oh, they get a hand on it. Stolen by Aiden.
And here they come. Here's Warren.
And a foul called on the way up.
So he'll take two from the free throw line.
Yeah, he's an active scorer.
Because Warren takes initiative, he's able to draw the defense's hand on the way up.
And a look now at how the offensive approach has been going here so far for the Clippers.
What they've done is they've looked to push the pace and transition early.
And it's paid dividends with their fast break points.
And I've also really enjoyed watching them hit the boards.
Specifically the offensive glass and how they've capitalized on that hustle.
And that one falls for Warren.
Plumlee's checked in for Morris.
And so Warren nails them both.
The Clippers have gotten off to a sensational 5-for-5 start in the second quarter.
A little under three and a half minutes elapsed here in the second quarter.
Pass to Leonard. Shoots.
And Aiden pulls it down.
The Suns have gotten nothing to go out of five attempts so far this quarter.
And it didn't take long for Phoenix to match the offer sheet Aiden signed with the Indiana Pacers.
Now, there was talk they might let Aiden walk after that fallout during their playoff exit.
But Phoenix knew they needed to keep Aiden to remain a contender.
Defensively, gotta close out a little faster.
That's a look he'll make with regularity.
Pass to Leonard.
Here's Mann.
Just five on the clock.
To three, George.
And again, it's the Clippers missing.
And he probably thought he was gonna bury that one.
To the paint.
Outside for Booker.
Back to Lee.
Shoots over George.
Lee misses.
Now Los Angeles with it.
Here's Mann.
The Suns clear it.
Aiden's got his fourth rebound in this one.
Here's Lee.
Oh, and he got fouled on his way up.
He'll head to the line to shoot two.
It's gonna go on Paul George.
First one falls for him.
This is how you stay in the game.
They're doing a beautiful job from the line.
100% this quarter.
Landale's checked in for the Suns.
And he makes both free throws.
The Clippers have gotten five of seven shots to fall in the second.
Pass to Mann.
Back to Leonard.
Now here's George.
Here's Mann.
The three ball.
Yes, and it's George picking up the assist.
Mann's got five.
Well, Paul knows the defense is locked in.
Outside Booker.
Clock at six.
Outside Paul.
Connex from downtown.
They've got some ground to make up,
and shooting the three ball more consistently, like they are now,
should help them do it.
Here's Mann.
He's guarded by Paul.
And that one's good.
Mann.
Mann's got five points now this quarter.
And they found a nice flow offensively here in the second period.
Outside Warren.
Back to Paul.
Craig on the wing.
Over Leonard.
Craig, no good.
Los Angeles has gotten three of their seven threes to find the net in this matchup.
Ooh, and Leonard throws it down.
But why Leonard will never shy away from carrying the offensive load.
He can step up and do that for his team.
Now here's Warren.
George with a steal.
Lets it go from deep.
Rebounded by Chris Paul.
Phoenix has gone two of three from beyond the arc so far in the second.
And the Suns miss again.
Very surprising.
He gets the ball where he wants it in a decent matchup.
George.
Another shot.
And that's two points on the layup.
Hey, they're just getting pushed around inside.
Well, it's going to take something special now to get them back in this game.
Unfortunately, it just doesn't seem likely.
Pass to Warren.
Outside Booker.
Inside.
Four on the clock.
Shoots over Powell.
And he was fouled while in the act of shooting.
So he'll take two free throws.
Already a terrific career for Booker.
Three-time All-Star.
And then last year he was named to the All-NBA First Team.
Just a big honor.
And the first one at the line is good.
And with Booker, it's not just the scoring.
Grant, he does a little bit of everything.
Hey, B.A., I mean, you go back and look at last season.
He had career highs in rebounds, steals, blocks.
I mean, he's learned how to affect the game even when his shot isn't falling,
which is rare.
Khatun is checked in for Los Angeles.
Covington comes in for Kawhi Leonard.
Both free throws good from Booker.
Los Angeles has gone one for three from downtown here in the second.
George outside.
Back to Mann.
Down low.
Oh, it's stolen.
Here's Baisley.
Still getting warmed up offensively.
No buckets yet in the game from him.
