Explore with us this magical place in Scottsdale, AZ! Here is some additional information about this trail 👇🏼
Tom's Thumb Trail is a 4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Scottsdale, Arizona.
Tom's Thumb Trail is a short switchback trail from Tom's Thumb trailhead up to Tom's Thumb spur at the intersection of the Windgate Trail. Hikers are treated to gorgeous views of the southern Mcdowell Mountains and urban Phoenix. The trail is managed by Scottsdale's McDowell Sonoran Conservancy. There is no water at the trailhead so bring plenty of liquid to stay hydrated.
Good morning, what's going on? It's adventure time. Today I'm going to explore Tom's Thumb trail.
So come along with me, let's get started.
We are doing this one. 2.2 miles to get there, 2.2 miles to get back. So it's going to be
a 4.4 mile hike today. So excited, let's do this. And exploring with me today I have Miguel.
Here we are getting to know this new mountain for the two of us. Let's see how it goes.
Look, beautiful rocks, beautiful weather. Let's get to know it. Let's go.
Gorgeous views. This trail is rated moderate and I can see why. It's not too long
but we're going uphill and yeah it's taking some effort on my breathing.
But it's great. Sunday morning, not too busy. If you're looking for a trail here in the Phoenix
area that is going to give you a good workout and you're avoiding the crowds, I really recommend
this place. Don't forget to bring your water. Although it's not too hot right now, it's September.
It's probably going to get hotter in the next hour or two. So yes, come prepared.
All right, let's keep going.
So we still have a mile to go. All right, so we made it. It's a very nice trail, very
good pictures as you guys can see. Honestly, I was not expecting this much beauty. I thought
it was going to be something a lot more basic but it's actually really nice.
So yeah, I really recommend it. Super nice.
All right, so yeah, it's not a difficult trail.
Don't be afraid to explore new places. Honestly, you'll be amazed. There's a lot to explore and
you know it feels beautiful when you come out and find something new. I don't regret it so yes.
So yeah, today is Sunday fun day. Let me tell you a little bit of my story this morning.
So I was on my way to Squaw Peak or P.S. whatever you pronounce that Squaw Peak and
you know that's my typical hike every Saturday morning and that's kind of like my spot for
training and I got to the parking lot and I decided you know what I want to explore something
new and that's why I said that don't be afraid to explore. Just get out of your comfort zone.
You're gonna be amazed what you can find so I don't regret coming out here. Beautiful.
All right guys, so we're starting to hike back. This was really an amazing adventure. Had a lot
