HIGHLIGHTS: CHELSEA - BAYERN MUNICH FINAL | CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2011/2012

Cup winning team for Bayern back in 1974. He was quite a player as well and this evening almost within touching distance and ended up getting through them and I just hope they show the same again tonight and rain final Bayern Munich against Chelsea sit back and they won't have done it the easy way I think everybody expected both of those for the first time almost five years after leaving Chelsea Frank Ribéry gets a taste of a final for the first time it's pretty fortunate then that seven other starters have had the opportunity spectacular fashion by the way we go it's trying to slip it through a quick forward by Mika Ribéry trying to get around the outside of Bissingwa and Müller drops on to Schweinsteiger and Gary Cahill gets in the way of it. Koss, feed up for Toni Kroos to hit it. Comes so close Ribéry flew back for on his strong side hit out by Lahm disappointed there from behind and did so so heroically in the Nou Camp. Mikel was on the bench for the final in 2008. Tossed in towards the dangerous Gomez just watched the cross here from Ribéry. Luis is just standing he's on his heels Gomez he's got great movement. Without conceding the prowl in the middle Muller coming in from a deeper position Bayern players around the ball clever play from Muller it's nicely worked and Gomez well he normally hits them all and Bissingwa has made a hash of that and it could have been worse for Chelsea than just it's gone through for Arjen Robben the shot on and in the end Lampard's there after Chelsea were exposed John Terry who must be going through agonies but I'm afraid self-inflicted his absence tonight. Brilliant save from Petr Cech couldn't have seen much Robben lovely movement by Toni Kroos though Bissingwa conceded. Now comes Cech often in joking with each other it's inconceivable to think in Napoli checking out doesn't go to him it does now fire Muller half an hour gone in the Champions League final Arjen Robben impression to give that you can play ahead of the left back job that you've learned all your life it's never as straightforward as that there are different angles you get the ball the players right up again Luis looks to set Robben looking confident of his fitness and he's caught by got a three kicks Phil believes it Mata takes it and there's a clinical Ribery from Tento decent cross on the run and it's put wide by Thomas Muller there's a chance here goes Kalou trying to set that lamp on here in turn for Kalou and this is Ribery what is Gomez do here's Tim Ashok deflected by Muller Gomez he's got a chance now and again I refer to your previous comments Gary Neville well well well this time his first bit of work in the dummy Gary Cahill turns his back name on the trophy I do believe in it I'm Munich nil Chelsea nil dollars and certainly it's good to see him back out there don't see any changes Cahill's tested and so is David Luiz in by Robben flow from Thomas Muller Chelsea keep that streak going it's Drogba across it's Robben it's no goal for Frank Ribery Chelsea breathe again it was cleverly well defended this is cross Mata with a leg apart and here's Gomez Robben very good defending again Mata early for Drogba you'll see a little bit on their heels until Drogba was making his way back and then he just got there he touched and Gomez this time he'll try and hit it surely he does but he Robben is capable of producing at the end of it from Thomas Muller and that might have been interesting to and Kalou Robben goes with his right foot and from Timmershire Mata trying to get into the middle and it needed some good oh and Neuer Kalou and Neuer was of course extra time Muller inside him he's in now and the Czech has the back pedal looped up off a deflection comes out to Boateng who was actually fouled by Muller options to settle this Champions League final Thomas Muller's got the chance and one happy feature from Chelsea's point of view about Bayern's play tonight the finishing has not been and this is Mata and Chelsea have got numbers forward hoping across that's Muller the silverware is coming tonight coming to stay Chelsea can have no complaints Ashley Cole just gets drawn in towards Gomez and Muller comes in behind him heads into the ground and here's Robben another one would settle it and he's still going it's gone out be a defensive move that will invite a bit of Chelsea pressure there's hardly been any up as possibly bleak as this what a moment for Didier Drogba it's his time Gomez has hardly had a sniffing goal in the second the Drogba might score again here but it's beaten away by now Ribery oh and added for it and suddenly from hero to zero and Czech saves Chelsea and behind that goal the ex-Chelsea man can't convert and yet again in Chelsea's Champions League run they defy all odds they never die something is happening Robben it's close to being offside I thought shot what you're pointing at I want all the flags we've got where every time there's a bad Munich come back to Chelsea to get this far first penalty in the shootout Lahm here goes Mata and Neuer as he looked to Petr Cech again need this and they get goalkeeper against goalkeeper and Neuer again against Neuer and he does it resting on him here and it's a final shootout he's done it they've spent acquiring different managers Mourinho, Villas-Boas, Skolovic for the challenge that's been laid down to them but Bayern will know in their hearts Gary that it was there for them to win on several story of this remarkable evening just to add on one more episode well he spoke up yesterday in the press conference and we must mention it too Andre Villas-Boas was the manager for just shown unbelievable spirit and they're going to have now the greatest moment of their lives but number one in the Champions League against considerable odds winning perhaps written in the stars now they are the stars their name is on the cup the European Cup and that name is Chelsea
