Flying to a Unexpected Destination.Goodbye Laos 🇱🇦.

Last moment. Well, I'm glad you think it's light. I've never thought of it. So, my time in Laos has come to an end. I'm leaving right now. I'm heading to the airport. It's gonna be like a 20-minute drive and what's the time now? It's 11.30. My flight leaves at around 2-2.30. So, come with me. Oh, so the other side is the army and domestic. Thank you. Come. Thank you. So, I got to the airport quite early. So, one hour of checking in has not started. But so many empty booths counter for rent. Okay, so I just checked in my bag. I'm flying Laos Airlines today. So, heading to the gate. International departures. So, just finished all the process of going through immigration. I want to grab some coffee before I go to board. Laos was great. Time to head to my next destination now. Going to board. Super excited. That's gonna be country number four of 2023. Wow. So, I couldn't take that burger because it has pork. So, I've been offered this mixed fruit chip instead. Lovely. Time to board. Thank you. Bye. Thank you. Looks like it's been raining crazy and it's pretty cold in Vietnam now. Hanoi. I was only given one ticket in Muay Thai International. So, I was to get a second one here. I've gone through that process. So, once I got to Hanoi, this airport, I had to wait. Then the airline representative came in. I had to check in. Gone through security. Gone through everything needed. So, I'm now heading to the business lounge. My other flight is like six, seven hours away. But I have access to the first class lounge. So, I'm heading there. At least that makes it better and easier for me. So, come with me. Let me show you. This is the lounge because we're in terminal two. I've been told I'm in terminal two. So, I'm hoping I'm in the place. So, I'm in terminal two and I have access to the Son Hong business lounge and this is the only one available here. So, you have all these amenities. So, all these for free until your next flight. Let's go. It is Son Hong business lounge. Okay. So, the lounge is up here. For the next couple of hours, we're going to be here. I'm grateful for this because otherwise, I would be there. No food, no nothing. So, I'm glad. Oh, I see it. Let me show you. Here we are. Son Hong business lounge. And these are the airlines that can use it. If you have priority pass or if you're business first class in these airlines, you can use it. For me, I'm using it through my bank. So, my bank gave me this. So, let's try checking in. Thank you. Wow. So, this is what this beautiful lounge looks like. It's a very very chilly day. This is how cold it is. It looks like it's actually like frozen some parts but apparently, Vietnam, especially north of Vietnam, they experience winter. So, this is during winter. So, this is one of the coldest month, January, February thereabouts. Wow. Well, so a good tour of what we have here. We have the seats if you want to take massage. So, we have the seats. It's really lovely and a very beautiful place. As you can see, we have the lighting, you have a lap, you have a socket, lock socket to charge your devices. So beautiful. So, you have breakfast options on one side. I love the fruits. This is dragon fruit, one of my favorite, recent favorite. You have eggs, that and then on the other side, you have food. You have unlimited access to alcohol and wines as you can see and drinks depending on what you like. There is coffee, hot tea and there's obviously like all the soft drinks in the fridge. No one deletes or controls on how much you want to eat. So, that's the beauty about it but you can't eat everything even if they left the whole lounge to you. So, I actually have access for two people but I'm alone. So, it's gonna be my travel partner so that we can always enjoy all these things together because my pass allows me for two. So, let's dig into the food. In terms of food, this is what we have. Let me see. I don't know. This looks like pork. Yeah, it's pork. Pork and then beef. This is pork and this is beef. We have rice and fish. Yeah, fish, rice. I don't know what this is. A dumpling and sweet potatoes and corn and dumpling. Beans and spaghetti. I think rice noodle and beans and potatoes. Potatoes and broccoli. Let me serve. So, I've served my food. So, this is what I'm gonna have and sparkling wine here. Some beef, broccoli and rice. So, there's a business station here with computers and a printer in case you need any documents printed and next to it here we have the relaxing zone where I'm going to be spending the of the time doing massage. So, here's the guide on how to use these seats. So, don't worry in case you don't know how to. You can still ask for help or just use the guide. So, they have toilets and shower rooms just in case you want to freshen up. You can do that. So, this is what the toilets look like. The sinks and I just used. So, let me just give you what it looks like. One thing I like about this, it has this thing. So, the seat is heated so you can set it to a temperature you want. For those who use water, you can select how you want your water. That way, soft dryer, front dryer, do you want it to dry you, everything and then flash behind there. Lovely. So, away from the toilet and the sink, we have the shower room. So, in case you're transiting and you had some clothes to change, you can come in here and have yourself a very warm shower. This is what the shower looks like. You have your hanger. It's a big room as you can see. Towels, shower gel, lotion, everything that you will need. This is lovely. There's some books here. Toothbrush, toothpaste. Let's see, a comb. Yeah, I'll use a comb and earbuds. Awesome. So, you can get that, brush your teeth because you can use this cup here. So, I had to come down this way but I was in a live stream. So, those ones who truly follow me, you probably saw the live stream. So, I'm heading to my boarding gate right now. Look at this kid. Fun is what you create. Fun is what you create. It's jumping on the darker boxes from one box to the other. So, happiness relies on you, on nobody else. Basically, nobody holds the key to your happiness. So, if you are not happy, you have to create your own happiness just like that kid. Finally, we're now heading to board here in Vietnam. There's a little bit delay but that's okay. All right, thank you. And I'm just a strap from here on your way. We're leaving the aircraft and put your logic up by pulling the right toggles for me down or going into the tubes. So, we finally landed in our destination. Hoping everything goes well. So, heading to immigration right now. I'm quite nervous but excited at the same time. I'm just hoping everything goes smoothly but I'm kind of scared to be honest because I've had a lot. So, let me hope my experience will be different. Yeah, I've talked to a number of Kenyans who've been here before. The experience is not the best. I'm just hoping. Actually, one left some three or four days ago out of this and her experience getting in was crazy. But you know what, nothing is going to stop us. We are the ones who are creating a paving way for future African travelers. So, just taking the bus from the airport. First time getting out of the airport on a bus and it's quite crazy because you have to know the number of the bus and where you're going. It's really crazy. So, we are leaving the airport now. I'm on the upper deck of the bus. The time is about 30 minutes past 2 a.m. and wow, it's crazy like trying to figure out the correct bus, how to get to the address. It's quite some work. We left our bags down there. They're not showing downstairs where our bags are and some people are also sitting there.
