This player once blew $500,000 in just six hours, and the rest of the players on our list have done
even crazier things with their football money. These are stupidly expensive things that football
players own. Let's start off with Romelu Lukaku. See, when this dude signed a $114 million contract
in 2021, he went a little crazy. I mean, who could blame him, right? He bought a Maserati
MC20 worth $420,000. And let me tell you, this car's no joke. It can reach speeds of up to 202
miles per hour, but it still doesn't move as fast as Messi when it comes to spending millions.
I know Ronaldo signed a multi-million dollar deal with Al Nasser, but Messi isn't far behind in
earnings. In fact, according to an estimate, Messi earns about $14,000 plus an hour. With
that sort of cash, you can afford to splurge a little, and splurge Messi does. For starters,
he bought a $7 million mansion in Barcelona like it was just another day, and even that wasn't
enough for him, so he turned the mansion into a vacation resort. Dude set up a gym, spa, private
theater, swimming pool, and even a football pitch. But that's fine, right? After all, he is a
billionaire. You know what's not fine though? Buying your entire neighborhood just because you
don't want your beauty sleep disturbed. Rumor has it that one day Messi woke up and decided he
didn't like his neighbors partying all the time. So, he bought all their houses and sent them
packing. I mean, who did they think they were sharing the neighborhood with? You don't win a
World Cup by messing around. Unlike other players with no bite behind their bark, Messi actually
puts his money where his mouth is. He isn't one to own ordinary things. No. When you're one of the
best players in the world, you gotta have things that are one of a kind. Like Messi's iPhone. I
mean, this stupid thing is covered in 24 karat gold, and even has his name and jersey number on
it. Unlike us normal people, Messi got the thing for $21,000. But that's not even close to the
$150,000 he spent on his special edition watch. It has enough bling on it to blind people.
Seriously, I'm not kidding. The whole thing is covered in 141 karats of diamonds and sapphires.
I didn't even know karats went that far. I thought they topped off at 24. Of course, not every
precious thing that Messi owns he's had to buy. When you're on top of the football world,
sometimes companies just want to gift you expensive things. Like Pernel Watches did
back in 2021 when Messi won his 7th Ballon d'Or. They were like, you know what Messi,
that stupidly expensive watch you own isn't enough. So, we're gonna gift you something
better. They had the rose gold Ballon d'Or 2021 made just for him, meaning that he is the only
person in the world to own it. Talk about exclusive, right? Things can't get much crazier
than this. Or can they? Everyone who knows Neymar knows he isn't about staying humble
and keeping his cash on the down low. Dude loves to show off his money to the millions of followers
he has on the gram. Like when he signed on to Barcelona for a whopping amount of cash,
he was itching to spend it. And I'm not talking about the sane amount of spending either. He
bought the Ferrari Spider for $280,000. So, when he made the big move to PSG for $263 million,
he spent a whopping $4 million on this Lamborghini Veneno. This car isn't for the faint-hearted,
as it can move at blinding speeds of up to 250 miles per hour. Today, that car is worth a lot
more. Yeah, like $6 million. Which reminds me, let's talk about that million-dollar smile.
I know it's just something people say. But for Neymar, it might as well be true. The
dude spent $2,500 per tooth just to get that perfect smile. In total, his teeth cost him
80 grand. I mean, if the tooth fairy ever came for his tooth, she'd probably never have to steal
people's teeth again. And I haven't even gotten to his expensive collection of watches that he
spent $180,000 on. See, one day, Neymar was in Japan, and he got so bored that he just went to
the shop and bought 16 watches on the spot. What did he need 16 watches for? I mean, nobody can
say. Dude probably wanted to fill both of his arms with them. At least we know the watches aren't
going on his back. Why? Well, because of the giant Batman and Spider-Man tattoo, he spent $90,000
on to cover the entirety of it. But a tattoo on his back wasn't enough for Neymar to show off his
love for the caped crusader. He thought, you know what, I'll buy a helicopter, and completely
customize it to a Batcopter. The crazy thing ended up costing him $15 million. He could've
saved a million if he skipped on the Batman customization, but what's a million to him, right?
Pocket change. He figured he might as well go for it. The helicopter is so roomy,
it can seat 10 people at once. Spending a million dollars on customization is good,
but what about Erling Holland, who once blew $500,000 in just 6 hours? Yeah.
When Erling Holland went on vacation to Greece, he ended up spending $500,000 in just 6 hours.
He made sure the staff was happy too, and tipped them a whopping $30k. All that sounds nice,
sure. But what about when Antoine Griezmann signed a $145 million deal and felt like he had to treat
himself for a job well done? So, he went out and spent half a million dollars on a wristwatch.
This wasn't a cheap-ass ordinary watch. I'm talking about one of the rarest Rolex in the
entire world. The Rolex Rainbow Daytona. It came with a 36 baguette cut rainbow sapphire bezel,
and 56 brilliant cut diamonds. But there is someone who did something even bigger.
This guy made sure that nothing would stop him in life. Not even the life of an immigrant. I'm
of course talking about Ibrahimovic. But let's get to him in a sec. Back in 2016 when Paul Pogba
signed for Manchester United for $106 million, dude knew he could afford anything in the world.
That meant my boy could afford to buy this Gulfstream G280 for $20 million. What,
were you expecting me to say he bought a Toyota or something? Nah, my dude's way too classy for that.
But when you spend $4,000 on a Blazer, now that's insane. The classy black D&G Blazer
Pogba wore to the 2015 Ballon d'Or had pure gold lace on it. Pure gold. I spend my loose change to
buy candy, but Pogba spends his loose change on Givenchy joggers, Supreme accessories,
and Yeezy sneakers. As if that wasn't enough, when the paparazzi caught Pogba on one of his
morning runs, they found him sporting a Rolex Daytona he bought for $34,000. But then he thought
to himself, if he was going to be on the news for something, why not turn it up a notch, and cut a
custom Patek Philippe Nautilus for $400,000. What is it about footballers and wristwatches?
Okay, hold up. What the hell am I doing with my life? I don't know. But it looks like
Obamayang has it all figured out. Pierre-Emerick Obamayang bought this amazing watch from Cartier.
But owning a Cartier watch doesn't cut it for a man like Obamayang. Do you know what he did with
this watch? He encrusted it with gems, raising its value from $4,000 to over $300,000. You may
see Ibrahimović on TV and think he's a cool guy, but the guy came from poverty. But listen, all
those days are gone. Today, Ibrahimović makes millions of dollars in a month, so he can afford
anything. Just like the day he spent $26 million on the Cessna Citation Longitude private jet that
seats 12 passengers. See, this guy likes adrenaline, so of course he spends money on cars.
Just like he did for his 38th birthday, he gave himself a birthday gift worth $550,000,
an electric Ferrari SF90 Stradale. But that wasn't enough. In 2019, on his 40th birthday,
he bought a rare Ferrari Monza SP2 for $2 million. And you know what? Only $499 were ever made.
Ibrahimović tends to get a little crazy with his money. I mean, how can you explain to me
that this dude just went out to buy a massive four-story church in Stockholm for $570,000,
prayed there for three days, then paid his builder $3.4 million to turn the building into
an apartment complex? If you think these players went crazy, wait until you hear the most expensive
gifts football players have given to their girlfriends. I mean, one of them spent $8
million on a necklace. Check out that video right here!
