World chanpionships 200m final history 1983〜2019 歴代世界陸上200m決勝1983年〜2019年

Fastest starter. It's a good start by Regis away very fast and a very good start also by Pavoni and Severn overhauling there on the outside Calvin Smith. Robson de Silva showing one in lane four. Regis now leaning by a fraction from de Silva. Here comes Calvin Smith on this side and the Frenchman in lane six Gilles Kinnerherber. It's Regis leading up the line but coming up is Smith. Michael Johnson from Dallas, Texas. He's about the biggest thing to come out of Fredericks, Mahorn, Antonov, Truval, Goromykin. The men's world championship 200 meter final and away they go. Johnson has gone off fast there in lane three beginning to cut back on Frankie Fredericks already. Mahorn's going well too out there in lane five but Johnson has the lead as they hit the straight and it's a big lead too. Look at this from Michael Johnson. It is sensational stuff. Frankie Fredericks is in second place. Oh Johnson's won it. Johnson's won it. Frankie Fredericks got the silver. It was quick. Sit. Away. Lewis reasonable start. Kepa Bianca away well. Marsh, Regis away best. Fredericks away well. They've gone up to Lewis on the turn. Kepa Bianca has run bravely. He's right there. Regis just leads. Lewis coming at him. Fredericks coming at both of them. Regis, Fredericks and Lewis. Fredericks is taking the lead. He's going to get the goal. Johnson away okay. So too is Robson de Silva outside him in lane five. Fredericks going well in three but this is where Johnson does his running around the bend. Robson de Silva still in the lead but here comes Michael Johnson once again. Michael Johnson coming to the home straight. Fredericks is finishing fast. So too is Jeff Williams of the USA but Michael Johnson takes the title. Golden off very well indeed. So too is Garcia out in lane six. Fredericks now getting to his running around the bend. Bolden in lane three. He's well up on Fredericks. John Drummond running well on the inside and also Garcia still with the Greek coming up on the Autopolis. But look at Bolden. Bolden is going clear of the field. Bolden is going to win by a big margin. Fredericks is there in second place. All make pretty good starts. All four Americans away well. Steven Babs has left a little bit and it's Tyson Gaye who's gone really well around that top end and can he make that transition that we talked about. Tyson Gaye into the home straight. The Americans there but it's Gatling. But a very safe one this time and here's the big man. Already up on Edward. Already up on... Bolden didn't get the best start. Walter Dix is going well and so is Ashmead. And Christophe Lemaitre is going well and Alonso Edward the silver medalist is out. But look at Usain Bolt from that turn. He's streaking away. He's really turning it on in this final. Dix in second place. Lemaitre third. But there's only one Usain. Walter Dix the man that you just... They're away. Bolt's into his running. Djamili also off terrifically fast. So too Nikol Ashmead of Jamaica. But here comes Usain Bolt round the turn into the straight. He's going to go further ahead surely. The other Jamaicans Ashmead and Weir could get a 1-2-3. Djamili is running pretty well. It's Warren Weir closest to Bolt. Bolt eases it across the line. Warren Weir in second place. Gatling gets a good start. He's already up on Zarnell Hughes. But Bolt's gone out well and watch out for Edward on the outside. But Usain Bolt is up. He has a lead over Gatling. Can the American come back? He's starting to close the gap. Justin Gatling is trying to close. But Bolt's already smiling. Dare we ever doubt him. 19.5. Trying to close down on Webb outside him. Makwana coming through here with Goode is inside. And now Van Niek is really tight. Richards coming. Gulliev and Van Niekerk. It's so close. Lyle's under pressure. Now he's coming through. He's got all the talent in the world. And now he's got the gold medal tonight.
