SURPRISE LAKE! FISHING MY STRENGTHS! Big August Bass in Current!

Some of y'all are gonna know where that's at. We are outside of Chattanooga today, fishing Nickajack Lake. Hunter's been telling me she wants to come here for a long time, and I don't know why I was hesitant, because this is one of my favorite lakes in Tennessee. I absolutely love fishing Nickajack. I like getting up here in the current, catch a ton of different species, catch a lot of largemouth, spots, and smallmouth. Today I really wanna catch a smallmouth, so let's get out there, try to catch a bunch of numbers. But I gotta show y'all something real quick. I don't know if they spotted any of these carp in here or not, but these are the ones that, if y'all have not seen my other video from Kentucky Lake with the carp jumping in the boat, y'all need to go check it out. I will link it below. It's only like one minute long of just the carp jumping. It's worth it to see it, I promise you. It's hilarious, at least in my opinion. So, go check that video out after you get done with this one. It's pretty cool. Good and two. That's what I'm talking about. Up there shallow. There we go. Well, something's wrong with him. I was not anticipating the lake being this low, but, or the river, whatever you want to call it, the current is ripping, so it should come up a little bit in the time I'm here. But, I mean, that sucker was in like a foot of water on the tip of that tree, and I pitched that brush hog in there and it just loaded up with it. So, I mean, obviously they're still up here super shallow. I mean, I can see the bottom in that tree and it caught this nice little fish off of it. I mean, I know everybody wants to come tickle my gun, these lakes over here, and catch these 10 pounders, but dude, I absolutely love setting the hooks. I will take a pound and a half, three pound, three quarter fish all day long. That one was on one of the best big fish baits ever made. I've caught so many six pounders on this freaking bait right here, it's unreal. Love this thing. Ah, I lost him. That was a little spot. That sucker near made it to the bottom, and that dude was on it. Little spotted one. Tore my worm up, but, oh well. It's not a big deal, little buddy. Little bitty tiny spotted bass though. Ah, dang gum it, man. Hardly ever lose him on this jig. What's going on today? Man. Yep. See that deer? Current's ripping me away from him. Yeah, he's stuck. He's stuck, I'm stuck, we just stuck. I think he's off. Nope. Got him. And I do appreciate it. Man. He was in there rocking and rolling and wallering, wasn't he? And the current was taking me, so I could not get back to him. I mean, I done lost two today. If I'd have had him hooked like that, dude, that'd have never came off. That sucker would have stayed on there for a week. I was trying to turn the boat and stop the boat and do everything you can to get it done, though. Not bad. He was in the juice. What? Right where he was supposed to be, just like I thought. Just like I out-expected. That's the eye on the rod in my kneecap. That gun, dude, that sucker hurt me. We were what? Yep. Oh, he came off. Man. Little spotted one. Don't bite my brush hog, come on. Come on. See I'm holding the brush hog so he can't rip it? Till I can get a hold on him. Tiny little sucker, man. Ate that full-size brush hog. God, his head's shaking like crazy. That's a good one. That's a dang sure good one. That's a sure enough. Nobody at Giant Jenkins would say, I'm here to tell you, that's a sure enough. That's a good one. Big little boy. Two and a half pounder. Big one, I think. Yep, big one. Big one, big old big one. Giant one. And he was wrapped all up, man. Gosh. God, dog. I better be recording. I mean wrapped. All over the place wrapped up. Oh, he's barely freaking hooked. If I'd have slung him, I'd have lost him. I might lose him anyways. I mean, skin hooked. Come here, dude. Got him. I think about a four pounder, but four and a half, maybe five. But, look at this. Skin hooked, man. I mean, barely had that sucker. Hunter's not with me because he's in the truck editing. So, I'm gonna keep him for a minute and go take a picture with him. Little one. Up there, super shallow right there. That sure is fun, though. What do you think he weighs? I think he weighs, on the lower side of four, I think he's like four seven. Oh, I was gonna say four five. Let's see, let's see. Four eight. I was so close, girl. And, action! All right, last two videos were from the same day. That smallmouth video and this one. If you have not seen the smallmouth video, check it out. Caught a big smallmouth in some spots. But, we caught him pretty good that day. Had a four and a half largemouth. Four pound smallmouth. I lost a four pound largemouth and he caught some two, two and a quarter, two and a halves. So, pretty good day for Nigga Jack. Nigga Jack doesn't take the kind of weight Chickamauga takes. I don't know why I don't fish Nigga Jack more often. I love it down there. It's a really cool place to fish. It's absolutely loaded with spotted bass. So, if you can't find the largemouth and the smallmouth bite, you're still gonna catch 15 spots because it is loaded with them. But, Hunter always tries to get me to go down there. I never listen because I'm not that smart. Anyways, we're on the way to Oneida right now. That's where I'm headed. We're halfway there. Hunter's editing this video.
