Homeowners Watch Out For Bad Window Installers!

Hey guys, Sean with American Window Concepts. We just finished up an install here in Oxnard, California. Looking around and we're seeing some other replacement windows done by whomever, not sure. But windows that were installed upside down, how the weep holes are at the top and not at the bottom. So that was a mistake, but whoever installed it decided, Hey, you know what? Let's just flip the window over and we should be good. That window's leaking. I guarantee it because there's no place for that water, the rainwater to get out once it's gotten into the track. So that's one issue. The other was the neighbor of our customer. They had replacement windows done and whoever did it didn't caulk the edge around the perimeter of the window. I don't even know if they use the primary to seal the window to the frame. So I think they're in a bad way too, but we don't want to go knocking on doors and, you know, creating a fuss. But these are the types of things that I speak about and that I want people to be wary about. I want you to know that weep holes don't go at the top, they go at the bottom. So this is what I say about finding a good installer, finding somebody who, you know, I want you to know going into an installation what you need to know. That way you don't get surprised by something or somebody comes out later and goes, Hey, that's done wrong. That's upside down. Or, Hey man, why didn't they caulk around the perimeter of your windows? I want you to have the tools you need necessary to make sure that your job is done right the first time.
