2023 #NBAAllStar Mini-Movie 🎬

Super exciting. It's a big, huge honor for all of us and can't wait to get started a little bit. This is the 2023 Rising Stars. How many of the GTA's do you have? Yeah, how many GTA's do you have? Two. When they can see you, they pay attention to you like, I'm that guy. See what I mean? It's going to be exciting. The stage is set. Let's see what they got. One of our favorite weekends of the year. NBA All-Star. Go big or go home. Here is the tournament bracket. It'll be Team Pau Gasol, Team Darren Williams, followed by Team Joe Canoa, and then Team Jason Terry. I love the yellow. It's really exquisite. Exquisite. We're just having fun together. Growing and getting better. This type of game, it's really about having fun and competing, and whoever kind of wants it a little more usually takes it. Hopefully our guys will want it a little more. Let's go then. Let's turn up then. Come on, baby. Come on. Come on. Come on. Let's go. And a Rising Stars game starts right now. Come on, let's try to win. Let's try to win, bro. Let's try to win. Get back. Get back. Get back. Get back. Give it up. Oh, a preview contest right there. Trey Murphy, the third. What are we thinking here, Jose? Yeah, we hooping right now. Come on. Again, this game is up to 40. Winner moves on to the finals. We just get warmed up, and we can turn it up though. Hey, that's a great pass. Great. Great pass. Keegan Murray. Step back. Good job, boys. Good job, coach. 40-20. Come on, baby. Yeah, man, we here. All-star weekend. Everything is done, man. Let's get it. Yeah, it's like that. It's like that. Don't let them get it. Yeah. Yeah, I like that. Yeah. Here we go. Right now, we're a little too cool, right? Way too cool. We're trying to get to the next game, but we want to end it tonight. Team Jason Terry starting to make it a game. Going the other way. McClung. Mobley. Ooh, okay. Nifty. Let's go, y'all. Let's turn it up a little bit. Respect the sofa. Do we have another spot in the dunk contest? Let's get one more bucky. Oh, cookies. Grimes. Send them home, Quentin. Come on, bro. Go ahead and get that MVP. I know. I'm almost there. I'm almost there. I love my look. We're here. We ain't going nowhere. Let's go. Team Patagasol, Team Joe Quibnoa. This championship game is going to be up to 25, and the winner is the winner. Showtime. That's what you want to see. Take over, P. Take over, P. Take over, P. Tell them why you rookie of the year. What you going to do with it? What you going to do with it? Oh, I've seen that move a million times. Yeah. Good job, boy. Nice job, boy. Because I'm about to see who's who and what's what. Like, these games, you get this kind of collection of talent. Let's see who's really about it. Another one. Wow. Thunder to Thunder. Jalen Williams. Grimes stumbles. Doesn't matter. That left side. That left side. Right here, right now. Team Powell. They are within three points. Hey, what you want to bet? I'll take this last shot, I'll make it. If I get the ball, and they give me the ball, and P give me the ball. Right here. He wants it back. Grand Theft. They get some time, right? Al comes out here and gives Team Powell the Rising Stars Championship. The MVP, none other. Crazy fun. Can't really put it in words, man, but, you know, we won. My team was great. I had a great time. The Kia Skills Challenge, which, for the second straight year, is going to be a three-round competition with three, teams of three, competing in a team relay, team passing event, and then a team shooting event. All right, so let's give this boy a good show. How you doing, son? Everything good? What's up, man? Everything good? How you doing? Let's get next. So we give these people a good show now. All right, here's the time. Look at the time now. Be the established time. I think they're happy. Looking at their responses. Oh, see that? I like this pace. Yeah. Yeah, they're here to show out. All right, hit the floor, the first one. Let's go. Oh, my goodness. Absolutely. This is how you do it, people. Give these people a good show now. Y'all good? All right. It's over. He had to make that first one to give him a chance. So he took off with one ball left. All right, the Rooks are leading after one. All the players for each team will be passing at the same time. That's huge. First up in the fitness skills challenge shooting round, the Ateneco Ball. There we go. Yeah, take the baby shot. Oh, there we go. Need it. We good. We good. We're good. We're good. Hey, let's win two of these. Let's win these. We happy. Let's go, bro. Trying to get that ease. I think I called this, people. I think I called this. You did, Carter. Yeah. See? We definitely was talking about it all week. All week. Ready tonight. It was fun. Tonight we have sharp shooters in the league. Hopefully not a lot of misses out there. It's all makes. Feeling good, man. Ready to get out here and shoot. Feeling good. I'm trying to win, bro. All-star Saturday night from Salt Lake City, Utah. The Starry three-point contest. And that starry range ball right there is worth three. And again, it's not necessarily how you start, but you want to start to find a rhythm. You can surprise us all. I would never have a lefty win it. He's starting with his money rack. Comes better. He's a former winner of this competition. Sure is. So he knows what the bright lights are all about. He's got 29 points. It's up and it's good. 31 for Tyrese Halliburton. What a first-rounder for the first-time all-star from Indianapolis. There's a seven-time all-star, Damian Lillard. There's your final, people. Tyrese Halliburton, buddy here. 25 puts a lot of pressure on who's behind. Straight ball. He made an interesting straight ball. 27. Oh, he needed that. 25, bro. This is good. That's the pressure I'm talking about. This puts pressure on Dame Dalla. His fifth run is good. He had a great first round, but not enough. Damian Lillard, the seven-time all-star, wins his first starry three-point contest. He made no bones about it this morning. He said he wanted to win it. We have had no point champion from the Trailblazers until tonight. First ever. Man, the Weber State uniform, being back here. Three-point shootout for the third time in my career, being able to win it. This weekend been all right so far. Excited. Ready to put on a show, man. Get these fans what they want to see. I bring the hard work back to New Orleans. We already got only guys, so it'll be great to have a second. It's very exciting getting a chance to participate in a dunk contest. Just a display of athleticism. People trying new things that they might not normally in the game. He played for 15 years. I went to a lot of all-star games with him and stuff like that. And he played and won also. So for me to be in this dunk contest and have my own event, I really appreciate he came out, you know what I'm saying, to watch the dunk show out for him. Love it, guys. Perfect. I'm just going to try to be creative. I got a few dunks I know. We did our research. That's not been done. So that's really what I'm excited to debut. Let's go, baby! Four dunkers. Two-round competition. There'll be two dunks in each round. Here's Trey Murphy going first. Somebody came out of the crowd. Stolen from him. Lobs it. And then a 360 grab and throw down. It wasn't just somebody coming out of the crowd. Was that Jose Alvarado? The rising star, his MVP. Sims is standing on top of the arc. Eyeing the rim. Let's see what he's got in store for us. Makes his way toward the rim. Chucks it at the box. Goes up high. Throws it down with both arms. Ending up at the elbow in the cylinder. That's some ups right there from Jericho Sims. J. Sean Tate coming from the baseline. Mack McClung. Six feet, two inches. Undrafted. The G League Rookie of the Year. Was known for his high school dunking. All I'm going to say is now there's a lot of teams that's been playing around as this guy's been in the G League. And he's able to do that. Reversed and slammed at home. Another first take jam for Trey Murphy. I have one thing to say. Welcome to the NBA. He's the star of stars tonight. It'll be Mack McClung and Trey Murphy in our championship round. Each guy has two dunks like they did in the first round. Throws it down with a double clutch. Runs 360 and Will Mills at home. Oh, he's got his high school jersey. Gate City. I bet you won a slam dunk title wearing that jersey a few years ago. Everybody's been electric around every single thing that Mack McClung has done. 360 and a half is what? 540. Wow, look at this. He was born to do this. Mack McClung was born to do this. We have witnessed a star being born tonight. Everything's a blur right now. Super grateful. I had a lot of help. You know, what just didn't just happen. So I'm super, I'm super happy. All right, eyes right here, guys. What'd you think of your brother, man? You are speechless. That's about what everyone else said, man. Magic notebook. It's gonna be the W for me. You wanna see? You guys wanna see? Nope. Captain Giannis. It's you guys. What's up, dawg? All-star weekend was a little different, man, around this time. You feel me? James Dallas, what up, man? Hey, hey, hey, I got to do now. You playing or not? How you doing? Showtime, what up? Showtime, what up, man? It's always a pleasure, you know, to be in the all-star game. It's my fourth time now, so hopefully many more. You see all these guys got like the, you know, six times, seven times. You know, I got the one time. So it's definitely exciting and it's a real moment for me. 19, man. Over to my son. What's up, y'all? What's up, what's up, what's up? Can somebody give me a sheet with the starters and reserves, please? Nope, nope, nope, nope. I'm with the book this year. Can I pick LeBron, though? Can a captain pick a captain? As we close in on the main event here with a little twist, it's going to be an all-star game draft. But for the first time, it's live. It's in the arena. They got the big stage set up. Giannis gets to pick first. I get to pick starters first, but that's not until the second round. Reserves is first. Okay, so he's going to take Drew Halliday because he's loyal. Oh, I know who I'm going with first. It's easy. Who's that? Dame time, for sure. My first pick is going to be Demi Lillard. How many minutes I'm getting tonight? I feel Demi Lillard on our team. I really believe Demi Lillard. He's going to close the game out. Yeah, yeah. You need to get a closer. Yeah, the year I won, he was the one that took the ball from half-court. With my first pick, Anthony Edwards. It feels good, man. Hopefully somebody choose me early. Drew Halliday! Jalen Brown. My third pick is going to be Shane. It's exciting. It's stuff you dream of as a kid. To finally come through, it feels good. I'm going to go with PG-13, Paul George. I'll pick Demar DeRozan. Tyrese Halliburton. I'm going to take my African brother, Pascal Siakam. The New York Knickerbocker, Julius Randle. Hardest playing dude out there, Bam Adebayo. The fastest guy from baseline to baseline, De'Aaron Fox. Sabonis. Let's go, J.J. This is senior pictures and senior skip day and an all-star game at the same time. I'm ready. Up next, they select their starters. I think he might take you first. Joel Embiid. If he don't pick me, we're going to have to see each other. This guy, this guy sent me home last year. What do you guys think? You guys think I'm going to pick him? Hell no. I'm going to go with Jason Tatum. I'm going with the wizard, aka young guy, Kyrie Irving. Our most electrifying player in the league, John Moran. Luka Doncic. Warming up, that's all I can do. Mr. 71, Donovan Mitchell. Honestly, right now, we're coming up from the bottom of the stage. That's something I've always wanted to do as a kid. To be able to be doing this now, as a starter, I'm going to soak it all in, man. This is special. I'm going with Mr. Triple-double himself right here, the Joker. With my last pick, Larry Markenden. Let's go, Utah! LeBron James playing for the big brothers, big sisters of Utah. Team Yachtas. Raise the future. Hey, do your thing, man. Do your thing. The team is back. You got a mic on? You want? Oh, I do. Here we go, man. Together. One, two, three. Together. Let's go. Tatum drives. He puts it off the glass and in. Was that a message? Anything you can do, the king. I can do better? Okay. I got Lucas. By yourself. James, a deep three. Oh, that's an assist. On the other end, Jason Tatum hits a three. That's a matchup. They're going at one another, right? LeBron slaps him on the back. I'm about to start shooting a little bit more. Mitchell steps into a long three and knocks it down. Let's go. Come on. I told you. Tatum retreats the three-point line and hits another. He's on a heater right now. Jason Tatum with 31 points. Here's Mitchell. Another three. A shooting clinic out here. It's the Mitchell and Tatum show here in the third quarter. Oh, he's going crazy. Here's your matchup. The two Celtics. How many times have they played king of the court in Boston, right? A little fadeaway. He's got it. Okay. Here we go. All right. Tatum wants to make a run at it. Tatum with an outstanding third quarter against his teammates. Step back three on its way. It's good. Jason Tatum. That's team Yankees basketball right there. And it's an all-star game record for Jason Tatum. You like my picks? I know you guys like my picks. 181-175. Team Giannis has to end it. Game time from the hash. Hits it. Damian Lipp. Team Giannis with the win. He's pointing to his game time. Pointing to the wristwatch. Hey, lay up next time, man. Congrats, man. JT. Tonight, it's a record for Jason Tatum and a win for team Giannis. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Come on now. Come on. That's great. And now for the MVP. I don't think there's much suspense. The Kobe Bryant trophy for the Kia MVP, Jason Tatum. It's extremely special for me. My first all-star game was in Chicago in 2020 when they renamed the MVP after him. And I remember telling myself that day that, you know, I got to get one of those before I get done. And take home this award of somebody that I idolized. It's a hell of a day. Like Christmas. Break the record and win the all-star game MVP. Couldn't write a better story than that.
