Hello everyone, welcome back. It's time to sit back and enjoy another episode of
Bloydventures. In my last video I took you to Thailand's capital and largest city, Bangkok.
Now I'm heading south to an island with over 36 beaches and 103 unique villages.
Take a ride with me as I enjoy the pleasures and warm waters of a place once not long ago
severely affected by a tsunami but now has come roaring back to life and home to one of the most
famous beaches in all of Thailand, Phuket. If you're new here my name is Floyd and I'm an
explorer capturing the world on camera. If you like this video please hit the like button and
don't forget to subscribe if you want to see more Floydventures. Phuket is 850 kilometers south of
Bangkok. It is Thailand's largest island with breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea.
It is only an hour and a half flight so I jumped on a plane and made the journey south. Phuket
island is 48 kilometers long and after landing the first order of business was to rent a motorbike so
I could explore this amazing island. Some people may tell you that Phuket is a seedy tourist trap
with nothing more than go-go bars, massage parlors and souvenir shops. Well they may be
right if they spent all of their vacation on Bangla Road at Patong Beach. However if you
were able to get outside of the Patong area you will find some amazing beautiful sights
that are a world apart from the girly bars and expensive drinks on Bangla Road. Well I just had
some breakfast and I went for a little rip on the bike. About six kilometers south of Patong Beach
is Keron Beach and I decided to come and check this place out. Look at this beautiful beach.
If you like peace and quiet and you're not interested in hanging out in a crowded beach
Keron is the place for you. Further south from Keron Beach are two smaller beaches Kata and
Katanoi Beach which you can clearly see from the Keron viewpoint a little further south. Another
great place to see in Phuket. After the viewpoint I jumped back on my scooter and went for a ride
way up a mountain to see the third tallest statue in all of Thailand. The Big Buddha. This 45 meter
tall statue adorned with Burmese white marble sits atop Nakhart Hill 400 meters up above sea level
with amazing 360 degree views of this beautiful island. Not only is this place free to enter
it is also an actual temple where locals come to pay respect worship and receive blessings from
local Buddhist monks. If you're monkeying around in Phuket make sure you check out the Big Buddha.
Now I'm riding down to grab some lunch and then off to another adventure. Well it's another
beautiful day here in the island of Phuket. We're going on an adventure to a place called
Paradise Beach. I haven't been there before so hopefully we're going to have an amazing day.
The ride to Paradise Beach is about seven kilometers so I'm going to put it in high gear
and get you there in 30 seconds. All right we are all set. We've made it to Paradise Beach.
okay okay no first time
perfect okay thank you very much
okay okay thank you so yeah uh the entrance to this uh beach was 100 baht which is three
us dollars or four canadian dollars and that includes a beach chair um and a soft drink

second and looks like my chariot is right they probably have to go up and turn around or maybe

it's not too far but you will need some sort of transportation to get you there
a taxi or a tuk-tuk is an option if you don't have your own motorbike
speaking of which it's time for me to get back on the road and head north to our next destination
i'll just have to get past these vehicles first excuse me guys coming by on the inside
okay now we're rolling again as i mentioned we're leaving paradise beach and heading north
past petang to surin beach a quiet little community i heard so many good things about
so i thought i would go and check it out well i went for a bike ride all the way north from petang
