(Premier League 2022/2023): Highlights Nottingham Forest - Everton

Hello from Jim Proudford and Matt Holland, welcome to the city ground for Nottingham Forest against Everton in week 26 of the Premier League season. Nothing's been plain sailing for Forest or Everton, a win here could be transformative. The division's two lowest scorers, whose chance of survival may hinge around their ability to take a chance when it comes their way. Creating chances now, he's not putting them away as yet. Trying to get on here, Decorey. Might yet drop his way again. Dutch Shelby! John Brooks well placed. John Joe Shelby's a little slow in making this challenge. Everton are rewarded for the number of bodies that they've got into the box. Award of the penalty, but they're changing or inspecting the previous phase of play to see whether there was a handball in there by Decorey. And the VAR is happy that the decision should stand. They've conceded as many penalties as anybody else in the league this season, but the opposition have only scored two of the previous five. Here's Gray! Back in the team, and back amongst the goals. A huge goal. Nottingham Forest's solid home form and Everton's struggles on the road would have shaped the win probability today, but nothing shapes it more than an early goal. Things in Everton's favour at the moment. It's a good save, Johnson on the follow-up makes minutes. Nottingham Forest's first meaningful attack of the day. Johnson is on target. To tap in from six yards out. What a response from the home side. So vital they could get those three front players into the game. Steve Stone featured that day as well. Two men on the Everton coaching staff here. Forest Legends a pair. Decorey! Everton lead again. A set-piece that Forest were simply unable to deal with. And Decorey on hand to nod it in. And Decorey, who was out of favour until Sean Dyche arrived. Decorey for Dwight McNeil, trying to work the angle. Decent attempt, and Navas had to help it on his way over the bar. Back to Johnson's way. Back to Johnson! He gets a little stuck under his feet, but he's got the ability to bend this into the top corner. Absolutely fantastic finish. ...over this time. Ayoub making good ground. And just stumbled, and that meant he was unable to get on the end of the follow-up. Now it's Yates, squeezing it through quite superbly. Gives way for Johnson! Well, that would have been some way to seal a hat-trick, and probably the victory. A point apiece, an enjoyable spectacle, and whilst the hosts found two equalisers, Forest aren't out of the woods.
