Highlights: RKC Waalwijk - PSV | Eredivisie 2022/2023

The team from Spakenburg which will not win the PK tournament is in 8th place Also good enough to qualify for the playoffs at the end of the season The position is now occupied by RKC the team of Jozef Oosting It fits well together nice to look at And if they can combine it today they might just do it PSV is tough PSV It's been very difficult for them this season in the derby matches Their last victory dates back to November In November Ajax was defeated at the Johan Cruijff Arena But from the last nine matches only nine points were earned That means leaving eighteen points behind in the series PSV is now fourth Nine points for Feyenoord after yesterday Feyenoord secured a late victory against FC Groningen And if PSV still has the title in mind they will have to win today in Waalwijk of RKC Something that worked at the beginning of the season 1-0 The penalty deep wound time We are looking at the setup of RKC where Nieuwpoort is central in the back as the replacement He is Adeboye the expelled one There are actually no surprises for the rest He needs to have a spot on the team for Joseph Zoon who has been doing well as a substitute lately Also very important was in Ereveen Drommel will have to show his goal-scoring ability in the coming weeks due to an injury to Benitez Van Anold Brandt Ramaljo and Moenen that is the backup of De Stroot integrated into a permanent team That's the formation currently on the field with a free role upfront for Fabio Silva He got rest against ADO Den Haag Xavi Simons top scorer in the Eredivisie for PSV with 11 goals Can Van Anold De Jong set the block That can Then here is the first serious opportunity for PSV for Fabio Silva Well defended by Nieuwpoort Seuntjes with the hook Clement Ramaljo steps back Well combined Clement then it's a corner of the pipe Newport all located at the front corner here kicked by Seuntjes towards the second post chance But Gari nodded in agreement In attacking terms PSV is usually successful with corner kicks But here the coverage left something to be desired Here goes RKC with Lelyveld the right wingback heading towards Seuntjes Seuntjes into the air Anita RKC also has the first real chance to take It's Lutonda by the way sorry Seuntjes takes on the duel falling at the feet of the man standing on the left Quick action Simons goes to get the ball which he naturally does very well Quickly opening up accelerating forward this brings pace to the attack Often PSV needs Simons for that Here he is again with the ball Azami Simons but he falls again in front of the young player but he has Van de Kerkhof saw a handball so he gives the free kick to PSV Hoppie the whistles are about to start Van Anold kicks him and he hits him hard in the rebound And eventually he doesn't go in Faze twice Look not everyone at RKC is aware that Van Anold is about to leave Once and then Faze again What opportunities Fabio Silva Simons well done by Simons trick Simons ran through defensive action by Van der Buijs The young one and another save by Faze It really has to come from Simons at PSV De Jong Zangare Simons Bakayoko Pass the ball with his right foot already Verwan in the small space of Simon beautifully executed A magnificent move by Xavi Simons But no goal remains at eleven for now What a class He demonstrates again how effortlessly he takes the ball In the small space with one touch open away The space found Close to the opening goal by PSV via Simons Garcet the house is empty Clement He doesn't have anything to say at all Here is Bakayoko A careless pass from Clement Faze is having problems Falling ball Zangare Zangare Fabio Silva in the forefront of the attack Simons joined ball from direction of Van Anold And miraculously he also holds it back Etienne Faze It seems like a day to experience how would I approach him That he still has a finger a pinky a crown Getting a shins a knee or a kick in the back It was very special Here is Veerman Silva along Veerman walked on Desolate the exit And finally the goal for PSV Via Bakayoko 35th minute Eindhovenaar takes a five-point lead in the season It was certainly not the first chance of the first half PSV knows how to create This was perhaps the messiest First this moment of Faze who managed to hold him back A few seconds later PSV was in possession of the ball again They come in with four five men attacking No offside it seems For Fabio Silva Back to play Missed Simons And finally Bakayoko with conviction Van Aanholt wild Then another hook from Veerman And ultimately Bakayoko Good counterattack Now the follow-up Clement offers himself And this is still a nice opportunity Even though the corner is tight For Lutonda PSV needs to wake up a bit At the beginning of the second half They are just watching a bit Kramer Brad Waite Kramer's downfall Veerman PSV is getting moving Veerman can try Is it close Close to doubling the lead A message sent by Veerman Bel Hassani There was a lot of rain in the second half of PSV RKC At the beginning of that second half That should have been it Free header kick Michiel Kramer Great move by the captain And he knows he should have made that Open goal Everyone was shut out Good cross from Bel Hassani But no 1-1 Brad Waite But it's an adventure Brad Waite towards the goal Is it phase wrong De Jong is not part of this attack The dog is actually injured on the grass Grab the left handle Try to block De Jong from the ball It looks like he's slapping the ankle Then PSV goes Bring El Ghazi into the field Try to get PSV to take the initiative again Losing the ball With Veerman Simons Always getting stuck in that small space Play freely Then shot The ball For the second time today The cross hit by PSV El Ghazi RKC started nicely in the second half But meanwhile PSV had the decisive team on the field Gamaljo A bit of a lackluster staircase From the central defender of PSV The same applies in fact to Anita's ball Veerman loses the ball And RKC has it with four men A proper possession there And is it Pella Sali with that chance RKC will also get chances in the second half Is this already the third Raakje van Veerman Going back to Veerman was the intention Then Fabio Silva appears there And he takes a corner About 20 minutes left on the clock A tight march for the Eindhoveners The head of Gamaljo It just goes next to it Notably how Fabio Silva stands so freely there This is once again more in line with the image we saw in the first half PSV managed to keep RKC away from the goal This could now change with Lopete Voorzet And at the second post Lelyveld is completely free Retake And the next big chance for RKC But what did they forget about Lelyveld Look Simon just doesn't look around Lelyveld can then subsequently choose Joseph O'Keeley And that's a tough ball for Drommel And eventually he faced the shot of O'Keeley at two instances Here he is again Fabio Silva And then finally Behind Sacaré for a second wonder goal this week Seuntjes WheeledLopeteO 'Keeley O'Keeley can try And Drommel And that's the final whistle PSV has a hard- fought victory But they make it across the line 1-0 With a good Simons in the first half With a goal from Bakayoko A first half in which PSV was in the first phase Actually completely under control Mainly succeeded in preventing RKC from playing Keeping them away from the goal But that was quite weak in the second half Seize the chances that RKC managed to create In the second part of this match
