As you may have seen recently, Team RAR launched the world's biggest real life RC Jet Car into my lake! And of course because everything Carter Sharer does is Rare and Ridiculous, we filmed all of it (https://youtu.be/QP2J35u7m_o). Only problem is, we lost some of the footage when one of the Go Pro cameras broke off into the lake! Today @StovesKitchen, Andrew and I go deep diving to not only look for the lost footage, but to recover the real life PT Cruiser we converted into the world's biggest RC car! We spent several days, and Andrew almost froze in the ice cold Team RAR lake, but in the end we found it--and the camera was still recording! This was one of the craziest recovery missions we've ever done. What do you think we should launch into the lake next?? Comment below!!

Are we ready to do this?
Let's do it.
Here we go guys.
Let's start in three, two, one.
Oh my god.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
How do we get it out of the water?
We lost it.
That jump might have been successful but we're not done
because we got to get that car out of the water.
We got to get the jet skis into the lake.
Even though it's January, we need to tie up to that thing
and somehow pull it out so we can recover the cameras
because if you don't have cameras, you can't make a video.
I'm pretty sure one probably broke off.
We got a wetsuit man.
We probably lost the camera too.
So Andrew's got to look for a camera just like the scale model.
We got to get the car out as fast as we can.
The longer we wait, the harder it's going to be.
The problem is the water's so cold that when Andrew dives under,
he literally gets brain freeze.
How cold is it?
My hand is burning.
All right guys, Carter right now is in the water
on the jet ski trying to find the car.
Like I was saying, the cameras are the most important thing
to recover right now.
How did we lose a car in the backyard in the lake?
That's ridiculous.
That's it, the bubbles?
Big bubble.
Oh, that was a bubble.
You think that's a car?
Well, what else makes that kind of bubble?
You found it?
Yeah, it's right here.
That's the car?
Yeah, I'm standing on it.
Look.
Oh, we found it.
Hey, we found the lost car.
Now how do we get it out?
I'll have to go down then, tie up.
Suction cup is there?
Is the suction cup there?
I don't think so.
Oh my God, it hurts to go down there, dude.
This wet suit is not very thick.
I gotta say, I've been standing here for about five minutes
and I'm already freezing,
so I can't even imagine what Andrew's going through right now.
Getting the car out is going to be the easy part.
Recovering the lost cameras is going to be the hard part.
We got the winch hooked up.
All right, we hooked it up to the winch.
And on the other end, I don't know where it is,
but there's something under the water.
Oh, wait, what's that?
You see it?
Right behind you.
What's that?
Like air?
Oh, there's something coming out of the water.
Oh, there's a monster in the water.
Oh, it's a wheel.
It's a car tire.
I found a car tire.
Oh, it's coming up sideways.
Oh, it is.
Yo, what in the world?
It's on its side.
Yeah, it's upside down.
Yo.
Hey man, you can't park here.
There you go.
Easy.
Oh, it's actually moving it.
Okay, so he's driving the truck
and the car is finally coming out, Andrew dipped.
Oh my gosh.
It's going to be completely upside down.
The inside of the car is completely scraped and full of mud.
There's no way we're getting that GoPro back out.
All right, we're going to have to anchor this
at a different point because it is maxed out right now.
So we're going to try to connect it to the back axle back here.
I'm trying to roll it upright right now.
Keep going.
Yes, and we flipped it over.
Oh, look at all that mud that just came out.
I think it's full of mud or something.
Oh, it's coming out.
It's so close.
Come on, winch.
Why is the back so slim?
I've hooked it up to the welding that Andrew had.
I don't think your weld is strong enough.
It's hanging on by a thread, it feels like.
Come on, we're so close.
Team R.A.R., baby.
Oh, it's out the water completely now.
We're good.
We finally got the car out,
but we still need to go back in for the cameras.
R.A.R., a successful jump.
Years in the making, guys.
I cannot believe we do it.
The car is out of the lake,
but it's now three weeks later,
almost an entire month went by,
and the GoPro is still under there.
So today, our main focus is to go scuba diving.
We got all the gear.
We got the breather.
We got scuba gear, goggles, everything.
I don't know how much longer this GoPro can survive underwater.
Obviously, we don't have the camera because it broke off,
but we need to find it.
Today's our day.
And we're off boating to the other side of the lake
where the scene of the crash happened.
Andrew, I hope the water is not too cold.
You don't freeze yourself this time.
Oh, come on. I always have to go in.
I got the car out for you.
Yeah, you're right.
This time, I'll jump in
and hopefully actually find the camera.
Find the GoPro.
We need to figure out where it landed.
We have all this coverage.
So we have all these angles.
Team R.A.R., door cam is rolling.
Showing where it records.
So I'm looking for the footage.
It landed, it hit the ground,
and then kind of landed on the side of the GoPro
on the water.
I think that's when it ripped off and sunk to the bottom.
We lost it.
Maybe like right there.
I think our scuba range to find this GoPro
is somewhere right in front of us here.
The water is absolutely freezing.
So in order to get in,
I got to wear this super stylish wetsuit.
Girl, let's scuba dive.
He looks like a medieval knight.
Like the Black Knight.
Mr. Scubalot going into battle.
Mr. Sir Scubalot to you, my comrades.
Mr. Sir Scubalot is about to go scuba diving
for the last one of these.
I don't know if your mask is going to work
with that stash, actually.
Look, is that going to seal the water out?
Oh, whoa, whoa.
Where is Mr. Sir Scubalot?
No, I'm just Sir Scubalot now.
How is it?
So far, I'm still dry.
All right.
Oh, I'm really wet.
With all that gear he's got on,
he floats like a balloon on the water.
Visibility is so bad today.
I can't see past my reach.
I'm scuba diving like a pro,
but the visibility of the water
is actually really bad.
So that means I just have to dive even deeper
so I can get closer to the bottom
so I can see anything.
It's just floating.
These are really, really strong magnets.
So we're going to see if we can fish it out.
Our GoPro's magnetic.
I mean, whatever you're doing
has got to be better than what he's doing.
He's literally still on the surface right now.
I'm scuba diving.
I've been searching for a little bit.
Clarity is really bad.
The more that I touch,
the more that I move the bottom,
the worse the clarity gets.
I think we're right where it should be.
My concern is,
it's been like a couple of weeks,
so I feel like the wind and the mud
and all the swirling kind of just like,
it might have shifted.
It could.
I think it's right around this area.
It's like right after it hits the ground.
So that's where it hit the water.
Yeah, but that's on its side right now.
Yeah, so it probably broke off.
Right, so it could be closer.
After looking at the footage,
I think it's close to the shore,
but also it could just be floating away from the shore.
So I can feel stuff.
That's a stick.
Oh, what is this?
That felt like it could have been it.
Bro, I mean, I have the ability to feel sticks.
New skill unlocked.
Next up is going to be diving.
The ability to dive.
I mean, I'm not exactly scuba diving right now,
but I am, you know, in the water,
looking for something.
Let's see what happens
if Carter can find a camera first,
or if Andrew can catch something
like a fish or a turtle first with his magnet.
My money's on Andrew right now.
What is this man doing?
The wetsuit is working well.
The only thing that is cold is my upper lip.
Give me that stash.
Stove, I need my experience.
I need my years of training.
Are you ready?
Much more experienced now.
We will find this thing immediately.
We will find this GoPro in a jiffy.
The stash is going to keep my lips warm.
Do I still feel like I'm in a good position?
Like as long as you're aligned with the divot and the ramp,
I think you're good.
Oh, I found something.
A strap.
This must have been from us earlier.
I thought I felt something really weird.
I almost got scared.
I think we're onto something.
I found something.
That's better than nothing.
We're making progress.
The stash definitely helped
with the addition of my experience-ness.
I found this.
Have you guys tried using a sonar yet?
Got a new secret weapon.
So check this out.
I'm gonna throw this out.
What is that thing?
All right, we got the blue thing in the water.
The blue thing, yeah.
Is that what's on that iPad right now?
So we're connected to the blue thing in the water right there.
Yeah.
And what it's doing is showing us how deep it is right there.
And then if it sees anything.
So right now, because you see all this red right here.
Yeah.
That's the bottom of the lake.
Oh, there's fish.
It's seeing fish.
Oh, that's sick.
Hold on, there's a lot of fish actually out there.
There better not be fish right there.
It's like sharks and barracudas
and all kinds of dangerous fish out there.
Oh, it is picking up a lot of fish right now.
I know, it's amazing.
See, that's another reason why I personally am not gonna go to this lake.
For real, you're scared of fish?
Yeah, you know, you never know.
Dude, there's something right there.
There could be something right here.
Stick.
I'm good at finding sticks.
I feel like honestly, it's where the boat is right now.
We've been covering up.
Yeah.
Like actually.
All right guys, it's getting windy.
The tow truck is here right now because yet again, my Tesla broke down
and I gotta bring it to the service center.
So I gotta get going.
Tow truck's here.
Why are you leaving me?
No!
There he goes.
So sad.
Leaving us.
This is my biggest reference point right here.
You can see the car jumped from over there, flew overhead.
Charter's there reviewing video footage to see if they get a clue of where it might have landed.
So stay tuned.
I think we'll find it.
We're now going to try Andrew's idea of bringing out a line.
Those are the rocket boosters from the car.
And he's tying up to it.
And I think somehow he's going to try to rocket himself around the lake with that.
I don't know.
It's a stash.
So Carter, what's the plan with the rocket boosters?
Why are you tying up to those?
Oh, Andrew and your not stash scoop of skills.
Oh my gosh, man.
It is so windy out here.
Holy.
Look at that stash just blowing in the wind.
Majestic.
So glorious.
I've been scuba diving for a couple hours now and I'm starting to lose hope.
I'm freezing.
I keep finding sticks and rocks.
And I'm starting to think I may never find that camera or the lost footage.
We have an anchor point.
I'm going to just walk in a circle.
Do a sweep with my feet.
See if I find anything.
And hopefully we can find this thing.
No.
This is the exact size and shape of this thing we've lost.
Let's not believe that.
Hopefully at some point we can actually find this thing.
We've been searching for hours.
Everyone's intense focus, blood, sweat, and tears has led us to this moment.
I've been peeing in my wetsuit just to stay warm.
And then suddenly...
Are you serious?
We got it.
Let's go.
No way.
It's fully intact.
Everything.
Bro.
Have you ever doubted the power of the experience that this stash can give you?
This is proof right here.
When in doubt, grow your stash out.
All right, props to Carter.
He actually found it.
I'm so happy.
I don't have to get in the water today.
Let's go.
Look at this.
It's fully intact.
I thought something broke.
We got the suction cup.
Looks good.
Selfie stick is good.
This was underwater for a while.
Well, the last thing to do is to plug this thing into the computer,
see if the footage actually recorded,
and see this rare, never-seen-before footage of this GoPro,
of the RC car going off the ramp,
flying through the air,
and smack dabbing into the lake and sinking all the way to the bottom.
Would have been a really cool shot.
So I was really bummed that we didn't have this for the other vlog.
We got it now.
It's like finding buried treasure.
Super rare footage.
Very carefully open this thing up.
It's got the cage on it.
Oh, it's crunching.
Yeah, this thing has been underwater for almost an entire month.
It's definitely seen better days.
Oh, it's nice and clean in there.
I'm hoping all this footage survived.
Plugging it into the computer for the first time.
Come on.
Fingers crossed.
Listed as untitled.
Open up.
I hope all the files are here.
DCIM.
Come on.
Okay, this is looking great.
It's this one.
It's just black.
Hold on.
Sorry, what's going on here?
Oh, because when it went in the water, it keeps recording it.
It makes different clips.
Wait, why did it go from black?
It probably shifted.
That is so creepy.
Oh my gosh.
There's a lot of black clips.
This one does not look black.
Oh, we haven't seen this yet.
We're getting ready, guys.
We are looking at like a time capsule right now.
This is before the car went off the jump.
Before it sunk to the bottom.
Before the camera broke off.
Never.
Oh, there we go.
This thing is sick.
Yeah, this is so cool.
It's crazy that we haven't seen this until now.
This might be the final run, actually, right here.
This is the jump right here.
This is the jump right here?
Why did it start right here?
Oh, this is it.
Oh, it's jumping.
Oh, what?
Oh my gosh.
This is wild.
Oh.
Gone.
It's squishing so hard.
And it goes up.
It's like it lifts off the suspension
and kind of pushes one more time.
Look how close it is to the camera right there.
So it does get one push off right here
as the wheel pushes the car for a little extra flight.
Oh, my.
And then it hits.
Let's see if it actually bounces.
I don't think it did.
Boom.
Oh, my.
What?
At 100%
Look at the angle.
It like goes up.
It looks like it hit another ramp right there.
Now we're floating above the ground and it skips
and then it hits the water.
And this is where the camera just, boom, splashed out.
Oh, my.
And it said, bye-bye, world.
It's an academy of love.
Let's look at the sky right now.
It fell off.
So it's seeing a little bit of the car.
Oh, yeah, the car's above it.
And then it goes down.
And then it rotates.
It was probably like face down in the mud.
And then when we drive the car, it probably rotates.
100% doesn't look good in the sky.
Because that last clip is the only clip
where you see the light come back in.
Well, there is this final clip right here.
Oh, my God.
