What's up muggles, how's it going, it's Sophie, I'm back with another video, so in today's
video I'm doing another theory slash discussion slash answering most frequently asked Harry
Potter questions.
So about two days ago I did a video where I answered one of the most frequently asked
Harry Potter questions.
And that question was, why did Fred and George not notice Peter Pettigrew in bed with Ron?
So because you guys enjoyed that video so much, I thought I would do another video where
I answer one of the most asked questions in Harry Potter.
And that question is, why didn't Harry use the time turner to go save his parents and
kill Lord Voldemort?
Well, obviously because that's going to make a rubbish movie, but people don't care about
that, they want to know why and how this is not possible.
Now with these theories and discussion videos, I do well in making these issues simple because
I've got a simple mind.
I don't like going into too much detail because that's when you get caught up in it and people
say, oh that's not true, that's not false, so I'm going to keep it simple because I'm
talking about a time turner here and they are very confusing magical objects.
Talking about time in Harry Potter is challenging.
If you guys want me to do more theory videos and frequently asked questions and discussion
videos then give this video a big thumbs up for me and in the comments down below, leave
any other theories or frequently asked questions you want me to answer in a simple format.
Because like I said in the last video, some people come to YouTube as their source so
hopefully this helps a few people out who just don't know how to explain it.
Because like if someone asks us why didn't Harry use a time turner, we know why but it's
hard to explain.
So you can just link them this video.
Because us Harry Potter fans know it's wrong but trying to explain is one of the hardest
things.
Also hit that subscribe button for more Harry Potter videos but let's get into the video.
So James and Lily died in 1981, that's a fact.
And Harry was about 15 months old when his parents died.
So to make that easier I'm going to round it up to 2 years old.
So Harry was about 2 years old when his parents died.
So this makes Harry 13 years old in the prison of Azkaban when Hermione has the time turner.
So because Harry's 13 years old in the prison of Azkaban, he would have to go back 11 years
to get to the day that his parents died.
This is already hurting my brain, as you guys know I failed maths at school so please bear
with me.
There is 8,760 hours in a year.
So if we do 8,760 times by 11, then that's how many hours Harry would have to go back.
So 8,760 times by 11 equals 96,360.
So Harry would have to go back 96,360 hours.
And if you guys don't know how the time turner works, don't worry I'll go get one.
For every turn on this hourglass equals an hour.
So if I turn this 3 times, that will be 3 hours.
So Harry would have to turn this time turner 9, wait, 96,360 times.
If that's not enough of an excuse to why Harry didn't go back to save his parents, I don't
know what is.
So if any muggles ask you why Harry didn't do that, then that is a simple answer.
But there is more reasons why, but that is one of the simplest ones.
Imagine trying to make that into a good movie.
Harry stood there going 1, 2, 3, 4, all the way up to 96,000.
96,001, 96,002, oh he's still here.
Yeah, it wouldn't make such a good movie, would it?
Just Harry stood there turning the time turner.
So if you're happy with that reason alone, then you can just simply click off this video.
But obviously that's not good enough for some Harry Potter fans and other muggles out there.
We'll give you some more reasons.
You know when Hermione was like, awful things happen to wizards who meddle with time, Harry?
What were those awful things you may ask?
If someone offered me a time turner, I would not accept it.
This is terrifying, this should scare you.
If you mess up a tiny little bit, you could die.
How ironic, the battery dies.
I need a time turner right now.
Stupid muggle technology.
But anyway, where was I?
You should be scared of these time turners.
They are very terrifying.
You've got to be so careful when using these, or bad stuff can happen.
A standard time turner, which Hermione uses in the Prisoner of Azkaban, is okay to use.
But you've got to be so careful because the recommended time for you to go back in time
without harming yourself is five hours.
Five hours is the max time before stuff starts getting crazy.
You could harm yourself, or worse, harm time.
Now let's not talk about harming time because then we're going to get into some weird Doctor
Who stuff.
Massive things can happen just by changing the slightest bit of detail.
You could kill your past self, which means there's no future self of you.
Or you could kill your future self, which means there's no past of you.
Yeah, yeah, told you it was getting confusing.
Or by changing something massive in your life, could affect you never being born.
Meaning you don't exist.
Now I'm not very smart, but I know the night that Harry's parents got killed was a big
event and was very drastic.
So if Harry ever did go back there and affect that event, he could never be born.
The boy who lived, never born.
Great title.
So yeah, there would be no books basically.
If Harry went back, there'd be no books because he wouldn't be born and there wouldn't be
in a good story.
So, pfft.
Now I don't want to get into this video too deep because it can get really, really confusing.
Just type in on Google, you know, Time Turner and just read a few articles and you get scared
and you run away.
It is really confusing.
So I'm going to keep this video simple.
There's probably so many more reasons why Harry didn't use this Time Turner to go back
and save his parents and kill Lord Voldemort, but I'm not going to be discussing that in
this video.
In the comments down below, you can leave those other reasons and have a little community
down there and talk about it.
That's absolutely fine.
I may get involved.
Wahey!
She's getting involved.
Oh God.
But if you want a good enough reason, just do the first reason I said.
That's good enough for me.
So it should be good enough for you.
Leave any other Harry Potter theories or discussions or frequently asked Harry Potter questions
that you get asked a lot and you're like, Sophie, just put this in the video because
I get asked it so much.
It's just so annoying me and then I can link my friends this video.
So yeah, in the comments down below, leave those questions you want me to answer and
do a whole video on or any Harry Potter theories you want me to discuss.
If you want me to do more, give this video a big thumbs up for me.
That's how I know.
And make sure you hit that subscribe button for more Harry Potter videos.
I hope you guys enjoyed this video.
Love you guys.
And I'll see you soon with another Harry Potter video.
Bye.
Ah.
Stupid thing.
