10 Skills Invented by Lionel Messi ►Football's Scientist◄

Oh, what a finish! Coming across his body and bang! Not an easy technique to perfect, but he did it quite superbly. Kevin, don't they make it look easy? Honestly. The pass from Messi, I was saying, look how compact they are. And you'll see it from the shot again. Messi comes short and gets it and plays a first-time ball with the outset as food. In between Messi and Petr Messi. And still. An element of showboating here, isn't there? Tries to embarrass the goalkeeper. Two against four, but one of them is Messi. Gets around. Meneles tucks it in! Lifted by Di Maria! A masterpiece from Messi! Genius! That's the only word you can't use. Because the pass is perfection. He actually puts negative spin on the ball. And it holds him off the grass. And he could have put it on an absolute golf tee. From Leo Messi. Messi will hit it a second time. Messi only needs two chances. He'll only let you off once, Leo Messi. In his tenth consecutive goal-scoring game. Exactly. You just can't give him an inch, can you? He just strokes it into where the keeper isn't going to get. All starts with this bad clearance. He had options left and right. Brilliant. You can see the strength there to hold off the chance from Kapel. Coming inside. One-two. There's five white shirts. But he can still see an angle. And he finds the bottom corner. No chance for Varas. Taking right at him. He grabs a goal. And that is daylight between Barcelona and Eibar. And indeed Barcelona. Rest of La Liga. It's incredible how Messi just finds the bottom corner. This is a pass. It really is. Just a 15-yard pass into the bottom corner. It's inch perfect. It hasn't got any power on it. It's just literally a pass. Past the goalkeeper. An inch away from the post. Surrounded by Eibar defenders. We've done enough in terms of putting pressure on the ball. That was Paolo Oliveira. The number 12 could have got a little bit closer. Messi just rolls it into the back of the net.
