(Bundesliga 2022/2023): Highlights FC Bayern München - FC Augsburg

Five changes from Bayern's midweek win over PSG, Sadio Mane's first start since November, and a return for Joao Cancelo the headlines as Augsburg came for a Bavarian derby. Which they'd won just once in Munich, but had won the reverse 1-0 in Augsburg in September. The goal scorer that day, Bavarian-born Mergin Berisha. Inside three minutes, Berisha and Augsburg on course to repeat the feat. But that served only to spark Bayern into life. On 15-minute parity, Joao Cancelo's first Bayern goal. Just the club's second ever Portuguese goal scorer. French would have been a rather more reliable source of goals, and Benjamin Pavard showed how it's done. An excellent finish, created by Mane's overhead assist. Pavard only ever seems to score spectacular goals. His second and first ever Bundesliga double was taken in special trademark fashion. That's three for Pavard's Bundesliga season. It was four before half-time, Leroy Zane began the move. And after Mane's shot was saved, Zane was dead ahead in a seventh goal of his Bundesliga season. Quite a turnaround in the first half. Augsburg coach Enrico Marcin made four half-time changes, and their second half was better. Matthijs de Ligt's foul on Erwin Cardona for a penalty, put away by Berisha, who's now scored three times versus Bayern this season. Joachim Selle was outstanding on 74 minutes. How's this for an assist for Alphonso Davies? The Canadians' first goal in the Bundesliga for two and a half years. In added time, Ruben Vargas carved out a first goal in German football for Cardona, to complete the day's scoring. An eight-goal Bavarian derby. Pavard and Berisha at the double. Bayern stay top. Winners here by five goals to three.
