(Premier League 2022/2023): Highlights Southampton - Tottenham

Welcome to St. Mary's Stadium as the Premier League's bottom club Southampton take on top four chasing Tottenham. So away we go, the latest chapter in Saint's bid to avoid relegation after 11 consecutive seasons in the Premier League. There's something to take into the half-time team talk, imagine. Son, through for Pedro Porro, big chance here and he's smashed it in! Last smashed and crashed into the roof of the net from the Spaniard, who gets his first goal for Tottenham Hotspur in first half stoppage time. Bizzuno could do nothing about that. That's a massacre, Eli Nussi's got to come around if his full-back Roman Pereira, I don't know why he's so far. It was straightforward in terms of its construction. Armstrong to Walker-Peters. No changes at half-time and that means that both sides have only one window available in the second half to make substitutions. Here goes Walcott. Up to the second half for Southampton, equalising within 45 seconds of the restart. Uses his speed to get away from the Tottenham defence, caught sleeping, we are in between Niga Perisic. Down the line by Romero, there's Kulishevski. Harry Kane's there! Miss from that sort of range. Harry Kane restores Tottenham's lead with his 23rd goal of the season. Pretty much on challenge as well, a straightforward lead. Walker-Peters has got to be a lot more aggressive, he's got to lean into Harry Kane as best as he can. Comes out to Hojbjerg, back out to Son, Kulishevski to swing that ball in dangerously and drilled goal was brilliantly smashed in by Perisic to make it 3-1. Caught it beautifully, no chance for Bizzuno. I feel like he's never going to win it but he puts off the Southampton defence enough that the clearance is not good enough and one thing to say about Ivan Perisic, he's a technician. It's given Southampton a corner, Warprowse with it, easily away though by Perisic. Warprowse again, he's got it back from Suleymaneh, Mara, Walcott! Walcott from close range and what a second half we see. Warprowse, Salah Souh is there, both go over, it's a three-kick it's a penalty to Southampton. Can James Warprowse win a point for Southampton? Training so many times he thought right perhaps he's going to go the other way knowing that I know him so well, he did and unless that ball. A deserved draw, a precious point for Ruben Seles and Southampton. Antonio Conte's side threw it away.
