(Premier League 2022/2023): Highlights Manchester United - Brentford

This is Ian Crocker with Michael Bridges at Old Trafford for Manchester United against Brentford in the Premier League. When they also won 4-0 at home, and they won 3-1 here, they couldn't, could they? Well, they'll fancy it, that's for sure, Michael. Lovely picked out, Fernandes, Anthony's cross! And Scott McTominay goes very close to scoring for his club. Pulled outside to allow the space, and they just got it in that little half space for the cutback. Fernandes, Tello in a good position. Anthony, goes for the corner! Right behind that, just not quite, nearly, but not quite. Looks to do that, doesn't he? Looks to drop the shoulder, get back onto his favourite foot. And we've seen him take that far corner out before this season, and throughout his career. Heavily involved in everything. Sanchez, corner. The break's here for Anthony. Dinked back in! And Rashford for Manchester United! But it's come from their man this season! And it comes from a set play, Manchester United have had six corners already. The ball back into the area. Savitza wins it, and it just fell lovely for Rashford on the half-volley. And he's still got a lot to do, Ian. He's got to watch this, you can see he comes from that offside position, gets himself back onside, and the side foot to generate that much power, that is just pure technique from a class centre-forward. Make that 28 goals this season. There are 20 of them. Fernandes for Anthony. Moves away from Benley. Here's Rashford again. Stops that, with Anthony keeping to pounce had he not done so. Again Manchester United, now it was the counter-attack, it wasn't the possession we were in awe of, it was the pace of the counter-attack from Fernandes to Anthony and Rashford. Just a magnificent forward play, waiting for Pinnock to commit. I've got to give. Rashford. Oh, this is terrific from Rashford! And he's still trying to sneak in and holding his head now. This wide area where he prefers to actually play when he can cut inside. Jansen had no idea. Can they score a second? Rashford. Savitza! And Raya flies through the air. Savitza finds himself in the central position this time. And it was a quick, instant reaction shot there, he just got the ball out of his feet. Second season syndrome for them. Tony, and Sharda! This is a big moment, it's Kevin Sharda! And De Gea, it's an absolutely vital save. And when he's asked and counted upon, he stood his ground. He didn't commit himself, he stayed, he held, and what it does, that makes me as a striker, or Sharda in this instance, you're waiting for the goalkeeper to do something to give you an opening, and he didn't, he stayed strong. Martinez sending that one straight through to David Raya. But that is that. Well, when you've not won for three games in the Premier League and not even scored, even Eric Ten Haag would take a 1-0.
