First week in the Philippines and we discovered this awesome island to explore. No one really goes here yet so now is the time to see it - beautiful beaches, epic nature and we were the only ones there.
Welcome to Tablas!
Tablas, here we go!
This is the baggage carousel.
They just bring it in themselves and put it here.
Here's some of our bags.
There you go.
What's your name? Jordan?
Jordan.
Hey man.
Hey, hello. How are you?
I'm Mike. Mike, Jordan.
Thank you.
We just arrived to Tablas
and our hotel
is insane.
It's an eco-retreat
called Cummings Highlands
on the top of a hill
overlooking Tablas.
And have a look at this.
Welcome to Tablas!
We've just been driving around on this
and we pulled over
for this view.
What do you think?
This is just a random little hut
we saw from the road.
But I think the whole island is like this.
It's just one coastal road
all the way around the outside.
So we're going to explore
this little island
and find all the best spots we can.
All good, yeah?
All good, thank you.
Yeah, that was hilarious.
We just tried to get a shot
where I was driving by.
Olivia was on her own for maybe a minute
and a guy came and asked if she was okay.
He was really nice, but unfortunately
he ruined the shot.
We'll try it again.
In the middle of nowhere right now.
We just filled up the bike
from the petrol stop here.
We got some water from this little shack.
We just picked a random road
to drive down and we've just found
a completely deserted beach.
Oh ----!
I just came up here to explore
and look, this tree
is covered in red ants.
Man, this is so cool.
This is honestly what I love.
Just driving around
discovering new places,
going to beaches that look like
no one's been to before.
Yeah, this
is what I love doing.
We just came to the only
little cafe we could find here.
Tried to get a fruit juice,
there's no fruit.
Tried to get a shake, there's no fruit.
So, instead
we're having a Sprite.
But we are on a pirate ship.
We are on a pirate ship.
This is Benicup Beach, which was just
a little bit further on, and just look
how empty it is.
Besides us, there's one
person on the whole beach.
Man, this place
is beautiful. We were just driving along
and the sun's setting, so we had to pull over
here because it just looked
amazing.
We're actually trying to head down
to the beach near ours to catch the sunset.
We raced to get down here
in time for the sunset.
Look at that water behind me.
It's definitely worth it.
See the layers of blue
across here.
And there's no one else here at all.
It's just us.
What an epic few days here.
And I didn't know anything about
Tablas really before we came here.
We just got the cheap flights from Manila,
wanted to try somewhere new,
and that's how we ended up here.
We've just spent the last two days exploring on the bike
and seeing some beautiful
beaches. I've been told there's
actually a lot more to this island.
There's waterfalls, there's a fish shanty we didn't get to go to,
and a lot
more. There's some good viewpoints,
but we didn't get a chance to do that this time.
I would say Tablas
feels like an undiscovered
island. It feels like
you're the only one on the beach. It feels like
you're the only one passing
through town. So if you're looking for somewhere
to go that's not so
well known and a bit off the beaten track,
then I would recommend this
island. I'd also recommend
this place, Cummings Highlands.
Look at it. It's been really cool
to stay here for the last few days.
I'm going to leave it there. We're heading off to Boracay
at 3am, so finish
it here and just say again, thank you
for watching, and this is my life.
Ready?
How you doing? Yeah?
You good?
What do you think? Should people subscribe?
Should people hit that like
button and subscribe? Yeah?
Yeah.
You tell them.
