We had just one day to explore Murcia and wanted to make the most of it. We had no real plan but just walked around and took it all in, which is my favourite way to explore a new place! We also made the most of our lunch and got a Menu del Dia! (apologies for our Spanish). I tried out a few new editing techniques with this, let me know what you think!
Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon.
That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how to travel the world continuously
FAQ:
How did you learn to edit? I taught myself. I downloaded Premiere Pro and began to figure out how to use it through trial and error. My videos were pretty bad at first but eventually, and with the help of many tutorials, you start to figure out what works.
What work are you doing? I started off running this video blog while doing freelance web design and video editing to supplement my travelling lifestyle. I now rely solely on this blog to generate revenue through advertising, affiliate links and sponsorship opportunities.
How do you meet the people in your videos? Hostels, guesthouses and conversations! You meet people so easily while travelling. Just open yourself up and you will meet all sorts of amazing people. ' Where do you live? Right now, I travel the world continuously and so do not have a permanent base or home anywhere. I am not sure how long this is going to be the situation but right now I just want to keep travelling.

Crazy!
Good morning and welcome back to Spain!
As you can see, I've finally got my haircut
and I'm in the city of Moisea right now
just going to explore here for today, never had plans
but it's a new place, I've never been before so
just wanted to start filming and see where the day leads. I only mentioned the haircut
by the way, because I said about three videos ago that I was going to get it done
and kept getting it put off and I just got a haircut
in a Spanish barber's here. They didn't speak a word of English
so I sort of had to mime what I wanted. They found it very funny
I wish I'd filmed it but anyway
it's done now.
So far, this place is really pretty
reminds me of Barcelona, with the old Spanish buildings
little alleys. It's cool, we're going to find somewhere
for lunch now I think, get a menu de dia, and then
see what we're doing for the rest of the day.
There are so many windy streets here, you can quite easily get lost
we're just walking through the little alleys right now to try and find some lunch
but I like this place so far.
We're going to come for the day and he said I've always wanted to come here
I said Roy, you've been here for 15 years.
My mum was just telling me my Nan's partner who has lived here for 15 years
and there's about a 30 minute bus we got this morning, he's lived here for 15 years
and always wanted to come to Mercia, but never been
which is crazy, but I think that kind of happens when you live somewhere
you get so used to being there that you don't explore
and, oh cool, we're up here, there.
Cerveza
Cerveza?
Si
Gracias
You can understand then, right?
I can understand him, they can understand me as well.
So this is a real, I don't know, local Spanish bar that we've come to, to get menu de dia,
menu of the day.
I don't speak any English, but my mum speaks a little bit of Spanish.
I've got Espanol.
I don't really, I need to learn, but we're getting by, just ordered some food, see what we've got.
I'm going to get my video on.
OK, this is Salmarejo, which I actually have no idea what it is
I just ordered it because it sounded nice.
It's good.
I still don't know what it is.
Fishy.
I guess salmon soup.
It's good.
Nice.
Salmarejo?
Salma with olive oil and garlic and a little bit of ham.
And this one is potatoes with chicken, potato, chicken.
What is it?
Polo.
No, polo.
That was quite a traditional little Spanish tapas bar.
We got the menu of the day there.
So I had like a salmon cold soup thing.
Mum had a meatball soup and then potatoes, chicken and potatoes, fish, potato and fish.
I don't really know Spanish for it, but it was nice.
And yeah, nine euros each for that.
It's common in Spain and most of Europe to tip too.
So we both tipped.
Pretty reasonable for three courses because we got dessert too, or I got a coffee.
And a drink.
I don't remember seeing this in any city I've been to really, but all the trees here are orange trees.
Apparently they're no good to eat.
And yeah, I can imagine why.
They're surrounded by the pollution in the city all the time.
But they're all orange trees.
So this is the Cathedral of Murcia.
La Catedral.
Which I think is the most iconic site here.
And you can easily see why.
It's pretty beautiful from the outside.
We don't have the chance to go inside right now.
It's closed and we need to go and catch the bus.
But yeah, it looks really nice.
So I mentioned in my last Q&A video that I usually don't really have a plan when it comes to the story of a video.
I'll just go out and start filming.
And that was completely the case today.
We didn't have a plan at all for what we were going to do.
Just wanted to walk around Murcia.
So I really don't know what this video is about.
Except for that sometimes you can have really good days without having a plan.
Just walking around and exploring the city without planning to see any landmarks.
You can have a good time out.
And that usually is the way that I like to get to know a place, get to know a city.
Just walk around, explore, see the local side of it.
And yeah, that's what we did today.
Okay, so I completely forgot to do the outro last night.
But hey hey, I'll do it now.
It was dark and we got to the flat pretty late.
So I think that's why.
I've just come across to my mum's flat.
There's my mum.
She's been a feature of the last few vlogs.
Yeah, I'm here for the next few days before then setting off to Morocco.
Yesterday in Murcia was a really nice day.
It was a nice break up from my routine of the last couple of weeks which has been loads of work.
I've been working on this new website that I mentioned on my Facebook.
That's going to launch next week.
I'll put a link below to the newsletter that I'm creating for it.
It's going to be a monthly newsletter.
But as soon as the website is ready to launch, sign up to that and you'll get a notification about it.
Yeah, other than that, I'll just say goodbye.
The next video will be when I'm leaving here on the way to Madrid and then Morocco.
So check back for that.
But for now, again, thank you for watching and this is my life.
