One day in Busan and we went to explore Gamcheon Cultural Village and Beomeosa temple - two beautiful places you have to check out if you visit Busan. Epic day again. South Korea has been awesome so far.

FAQ:
How did you learn to edit? I taught myself. I downloaded Premiere Pro and began to figure out how to use it through trial and error. My videos were pretty bad at first but eventually, and with the help of many tutorials, you start to figure out what works.
What work are you doing? I started off running this video blog while doing freelance web design and video editing to supplement my travelling lifestyle. I now rely solely on this blog to generate revenue through advertising, affiliate links and sponsorship opportunities.
How do you meet the people in your videos? Hostels, guesthouses and conversations! You meet people so easily while travelling. Just open yourself up and you will meet all sorts of amazing people. ' Where do you live? Right now, I travel the world continuously and so do not have a permanent base or home anywhere. I am not sure how long this is going to be the situation but right now I just want to keep travelling.
Any more questions, please post in the comments below!
Good morning and welcome to Busan. We got the train here yesterday, got it from Seoul
and that took just about five hours. I didn't film it because not much was happening but we're
here now anyway. We are walking up this big hill right now in order to get to Gamcheon village.
This hill is really steep. We'll get there.
So this is all Gamcheon cultural village and we just came straight away to a viewpoint and
have a look at this. This view is insane. It goes all the way around. I'm going to show you
some of the best bits. This area has a sort of a favela feel. Not that I've ever been to a favela
but it kind of looks how I imagine one would in Rio, in Brazil. I don't know. It looks really cool.
I've got to be honest, I don't know too much about this village other than that it's old
but it looks really cool and we're going to explore more of it now.
Do you know anything about this village, Rich? It's really colourful. It's beautiful.
Are you filming? Yeah. This is Matt. Say hi Matt. Hello.
Met Matt in Manila and now he's here in South Korea also doing the travelling thing.
We were just saying if you looked at this place and you didn't know it was South Korea,
you'd never think this is Korea. It has more of like a Mediterranean Italian Spanish feel
or possibly like a favela. Yeah, really different. Looks good though.
Just getting some photos of this view. It's really cool. Don't hold this against me if I'm
wrong but I think this area was the last refuge for the South Koreans during the Korean War.
I think they fell back to this area, occupied about 10% of the country and then eventually
fought back and ended up winning the Korean War. But I think Busan is for sure but I think this
area specifically is where the majority of South Korea fell back to.
So we just found out that what I was saying earlier about it feeling like the Mediterranean,
like Greece or Italy or Spain. It's actually, there's a nickname for Gamcheon village which
is the Santorini of Korea. So we're not the first ones to make that comparison.
We're just finishing up here now. We're about to jump on a bus or a train and head to somewhere
else. Okay, we just got a bus, a train and another bus in order to get here. It's taken us about
an hour but this is another place that you really should see in Busan. So let me show you around.
So this whole area is, forgive me if I pronounce it wrong, Bumisa temple or Beomsa temple.
And we haven't even got to the temple yet but everywhere is just beautiful. The color of the
leaves, the trees. I feel really lucky that we came here in their autumn. Didn't mean to,
it wasn't planned at all. We just chose a random place to come to.
And the fact that we're here at this time makes everything so pretty. Loving it.
So this is Beomisa, Beomisa, Beomsa, Beomsa, something like that temple. And have a look.
I know nothing about it. I know it's a temple. I know it looks very nice and probably most of
it was rebuilt. I imagine a lot of it was destroyed in the wars but it's really pretty.
That's my comprehensive guide to this temple.
What I do know is this place is still used actively for worship. There are a lot of
people praying. There are monks around that presumably live here. Yeah, it just seems
quite a tranquil place way up on this mountain, isolated from people. It's nice.
This is where the monks live, I've just been told, in these living quarters behind me.
I can just see one guy here at the moment which I won't be too loud because I don't want to disturb
them. Yeah, it's interesting. Interesting to see a different way of life like this.
And again, it's really pretty. I wouldn't mind living up here.
What do you think? Did you live here? It's quiet. It's peaceful.
And I think from what I see there's a lot of shoes there too so there's quite a lot of people.
All the monks living here. Yeah.
Well that is it for now. Really cool day. Two really beautiful places and yeah I didn't really
have any plan for today. I just followed Matt and Rich. They had some ideas where to go
and these two places turned out to be really enjoyable. I don't know if you could tell but
I didn't know where I was going because I had pretty much no information to give you
but hopefully you enjoyed it anyway. Right now I've just got to jump back on the bus and then
the train to get back to the hostel but I'll miss that out so see you there. Change of plan,
I'm going to bow out right now and say goodbye. We were just on the way back to the hostel but
decided to go to a bar instead so for right now I'll just say goodbye. Loving South Korea.
Thank you again for watching and this is my life. This is my new friend. What was your name?
My name is Kay. This is Matthew. He's introduced us to the soju, the local drink of Korea.
We're enjoying it. It's a beautiful day here in Busan and we're enjoying it.
You are traveling here? Yeah we're traveling making documentary about the people and the lifestyle.
Where do you come from you guys? Australia and England. He's from Australia, we're from England.
And you are from Korea? Yes. Where from? From Busan? From Busan.
Whereabouts? We can edit.
What do you think about drunk Australians?
One question we have for Koreans is how much soju does one Korean drink in his entire life?
Your average Korean?
In one night how much soju does a Korean drink?
One bottle?
And half? One and a half.
And then they are Korea drunk.
Out! Peace! Thank you!
