So our 10am Eastern featured match comes to you from the capital,
it's Brentford hosting Nottingham Forest.
Both teams have just five matches left to go this season.
So let's go straight to our Kia starting line up, starting with the home side,
Robbie Musto.
Well, they make four changes.
The team that beat Chelsea on Wednesday, they go from a back five to a back four.
Aaron Hickey, their number two, comes in to play right back.
The midfield is freshened up as well.
Mikael Damsgaard, the creative Dane, comes in to play the right side of that midfield.
Of course, Jens, another Danish player, has had a good season on the left.
And again, the front players, different front players.
And Bermo will play on the right hand side.
And Kevin Shartley, 21-year-old, who's on loan from Freiburg,
will play on the left hand side.
Ivan Toni, as ever, up front.
19 Premier League goals so far for Toni.
And how about Steve Kupfer's men coming in for huge win against Brighton on Wednesday.
They're safe for now.
They are for now.
Looking good and the structure is very strong.
Near cut to number 19, whilst in injury doubt with a hamstring problem,
he's passed fit.
Serge Auriol-Pishon will push and play on the right hand side.
This Nico Williams is out for the season with a broken jaw.
But just look at the midfield there.
They're really, really tight.
Brennan Johnson, number 20, and Gibbs White, pinched really, really tight alongside Danilo.
This is without possession, by the way.
Mangala kind of holds behind.
It's kind of different.
They certainly did a really good job in the last two games,
particularly against Brighton.
And Aouni did have a shoulder, but he's passed fit to stay up front.
Points in the season.
The team's threat with relegation could maybe take a quick single in cricket.
Partners to get themselves to the end of the season.
Forrest to go for wins.
Can they make it back-to-back victories?
Can they find their first success on their travels?
It's in Southampton in the early days of 2023.
Gibbs-White, bullied off the ball.
It's a very loud army of Forest supporters,
willing them on today.
With the management, Manko Williams with a jaw injury.
Is Mbumo?
Oh, no, Dave with outs.
Well, it's a decent strike, isn't it, from Mbumo over on the far side.
Good pick-out to start off with, Neokate not a most convincing of headers.
And as Mbumo once come onto his favoured side inside.
Decent strike.
You see with Kele Navas, just quite happy to parry that ball down.
Forest fans, angola.
to it. Henry, anticipating his Johnson.
Raya comes a long way into no-man's land and that was the best chance of the game.
First chance of the game for Forrest.
And Winyik getting into that no-man's land between defender and hesitant goalkeeper.
Well, Rico Henry defended it really well to start off with,
but look how brave and assertive Aure was to start with.
But there is a golden opportunity for Nottingham Forrest.
Brennan Johnson does really well, no real backlift on the cross.
And all it's got to be is the slightest of headers from Iwane,
but he puts too much on it.
Great ball from Brennan Johnson, puts it into a great area
and that should be in the back of the net.
in there. Second attempt, Kaelin Abbas. Some scramble, that was a big opportunity for Brentford.
Well I believe it was Ethan Pinnock as well who had the attempt. Great save you have to admit
from Kaelin Abbas down low to his right hand side and there's Damsgaard just trying to flick it with
the outside of his right foot. Nice and comfortable in the arms of Kaelin Abbas again but that's the
best save so far of the game. Just about enough time for this throw-in to be taken, see what
evolves. He gets no distance on his header, Gibbs White falls in, yes, gracious me. Right place,
right time with a mutterly important goal for North Forest. The final kick of the first half.
psychological blow for Brentford on the brink of halftime. What a goal!
Gaton threatened Forrest.
Well, that is an important strike from Danilo, who scored one against Brighton and Hove Albion
in midweek. But Gibbs-White is the one who was able to regenerate the ball. And it was
his attempt which took a wicked deflection into the path of Danilo. He's definitely on
an onside position. Here we see Gibbs-White, here's the shot, comes off Benmi, into the
path of Danilo. There from seven yards, he isn't going to make a mistake.
It's a long time for a goal, and then two come along at once.
Quick reaction, a first shot which is on the target,
after one from Gibbs White fell to him, casually placed away.
Boomer thought he was going off, back to that in a second.
Here goes Ayoub, Ayoub, brilliant.
Textbook tackle from Ben Mee.
Took his ground, kept his cool, and made the perfect tackle.
Great timing of the challenge from Ben Mee,
saw there with Ayoub, he was there manipulating the ball with his left hand side,
but Ben Mee was saying, OK, come and take me on.
There he is, he just bides his time, he's nice and patient,
and sticks in that left foot.
Got lots of space here, drifts inside,
but a good clear view by Raya.
Here's four changes, shaking things up.
been the defensive masterclass from Nottingham Forest, which is a strange thing to say when
it's a team that's conceded 60 goals so far this season.
Well it's a decent ball in from Loddy towards the far post and it's actually Neokate who has the head up
and all of a sudden inadvertently the ball just falls down to him
and he's having a little look around and thinking, yeah I'll have an attempt.
It's a decent try from Neokate.
approach from Brentford, but same dogged, determined, disciplined defending from
Nottingham Forest. It is, but I don't know if Serge Aurier really needs to head that at
the far post. Not got the greatest of balances. Once again you'll see the
amount of players inside of that box.
There is a huge gap, isn't there?
Tony is around the wall.
of Monaghan Forrest.
Well, I did say there was a huge gap.
Ball to go around the outside.
But if you have a look, the wall breaks.
That is so disappointing.
I think it's Coyote who moved away from the wall.
But if you put into the wall, you're there to do a job.
But don't take it away from Ivan Toni.
As I say, sometimes with these players,
they don't have a lot of possession.
Then they find a hit in the ball in the back of the net.
But look at the breakaway.
Steve Cooper won't be happy with his substitute.
It was Coyote who jumped out of the way.
Oh, there's a chink in the armour.
To bullet from Ivan Toni.
His 21st goal of the season in all competitions.
And he keeps up this incredible record,
scoring in alternate games.
He's waiting nervously on the touchline.
Milo continues, effectively they're down to ten players at the moment,
because he's playing no parties.
Poppling on this near touchline, all hands to the defensive puck.
Takes a deflection!
Oh, what a save from Keylan Mbappé!
Brabantic goalkeeping of the highest order.
That took a massive deflection, he committed himself one way...
I think it was... Sorry, I thought that was Baptiste who had the initial attempt.
Here we'll see the shot coming in.
Onjeka's shot, and it comes off Visser.
And I'll tell you what, Keylan Navas does really well, down to his left-hand side, so sharp.
You could see that the balance was going to his right-hand side.
This is Hickey, drop of the shoulder, fires it in!
Oh, whisker wide.
They're peppering the goal.
Nefaris hanging on, how many lives have they got left?
Now Keylan Navas is going down.
He actually got booked in midweek, I believe, in the stoppage time.
I guess something the referee perceived as time-wasting.
Well, he can't turn around and say he's tired, can he?
He's not exactly been running around the pitch, but mentally tired.
the ball wide.
Jeka Silva past his first man.
He's he takes it!
The De Silva bullet.
How cruel is life for Nottingham Forest?
They scored a vital goal right at the end of the first half,
and in the dying seconds, with only ten men on the field,
they concede. It has been checked.
I think that player is in the vision of Kaelin Addas.
When the shot comes in from Josh de Silva,
have a look at the angle, I'm not quite sure who that player is
in front of Kaelin Addas, but you can turn round and say
the shot wasn't actually going in that line, it was going towards the near post,
but even so, it takes the eye off Kaelin Addas.
This is where it comes down to the interpretation and the reading
of the laws of the game, and what does Neil Swarbrick,
who is the VAR see? It is offside, is he catching the eye of the goalkeeper?
Is he affecting the defenders? Everybody will have a different view.
And that is the thing, if you ask 100 people, 50 will say he's offside,
50 will say not a problem. Is he in line of sight of Kaelin Addas?
And is his kneecap in an offside position?
Well they do say that you should make these decisions quickly.
Forest fans will want them to take an age to ensure that they get this right.
you go with the shadow of the player?
It depends how tall he is, Rob.
Well, time is standing still at the G-Tech Community Stadium.
and Steve Cooper could have dreamt of that at the start of the season.
Well, a football in fairground twists and turns.
A trawl for Steve Cooper, coming down to the finest of margins.
That silver shot squirming through in time added on against the ten men of Nottingham Forest.
Ivan Toni was like the ghost, we didn't see him.
And then he came on with eight minutes to go, or came into the game with eight minutes to go,
to haunt them with a fantastic free kick, his 21st goal of the season,
all that after Forest had led from minute 45 plus two to minute 82.
Forest are still out of the relegation zone at the moment, it's pretty much in their hands.
They have been taught a lesson, not to take their eye off the ball twice.
With two literal long shots from Brentford this afternoon.
Enthralling, entertaining, frustrating if you're Forest,
the celebration if you are a Brentford supporter.
Cracking game of football at the GTEC Community Stadium for two, Nottingham Forest 1.
