Weekend in My Life: Napa Valley

I thought I'd take you guys along on a trip that I took with my mom before college to Napa Valley for an amazing weekend getaway. It was so fun so I was like, I have to bring my Dan fam along. It was an absolutely beautiful journey there, easy plane rides, so pretty. So our first stop was Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa. It is this super cool, totally new, trendy fun hotel that's kind of based towards millennials. It's kind of like, you know, like road trip yet fun. That's kind of vibe that they were going for. Do we love it? I love it. It's so cute. We have spa reservations at five o'clock and we're actually the first people to be getting treatments from their new spa, Moonacre Spa, so I'm so excited. We're both getting massages and they have like a steam room and like some mineral water pool or something, so I'm pretty pumped about it. Let's go. It's spa time. So we headed right to the spa at the hotel. It's brand new and we were the first customers there, which was so cool. It was so relaxing. So before we had our massages, we got to go in the steam room a little bit, lie out in the sun in this beautiful little zen area, drink some spa water. Needless to say, I was in heaven for sure. I have done my massage. It was absolutely amazing and I walk in and there is this beautiful little array of sweets and amazing things and a little letter from the hotel and I'm just, ah, this is so sweet. They gave us a huge bowl of ginormous fresh fruit. I'm about to dig into a peach. I was literally saying to my mom like, I'm going to go back, like I'm hungry. Like my mom's still in the steam room. There is a little outfit of the night. We are headed to Calistoga Inn because they have an amazing restaurant there. We've heard it's really great. It's got like a nice outdoor patio. I'm super pumped. I just got my hair in a little ponytail and necklaces are all from Forever 21. This dress is from Forever 21. It's super nice, super perfect for summer and I'm wearing my Steve Madden Brayla sandals and I'm going to bring my denim jacket here in case it gets cooler at night and these sunglasses are from Forever 21 as well. Yay. Yay. Walking through the streets with my mom. Guys, so in our hotel room we have this like huge board with like all these fun little things that they put up and I just saw this book that they have here and it says awkward family photos. Let's take a look. Why is only she on the couch? Oh, that's like a cute picture. Oh, yeah. After dinner we went to the mineral spring pools. We got in the pool. We got in the hot tub. It felt so good and you can totally just feel the minerals on your skin. It's crazy. And now it is time for bed. Ah, good night. We are going on a bike ride this beautiful morning. Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa had bikes for us that we could take to downtown Calistoga so we rode over to Calistoga Roastery. Naturally, I got a latte and a bagel. My mom got some tea. Good stuff. So we just got back from our lovely bike ride getting coffee and breakfast. It is so cute in downtown Calistoga. We absolutely loved it and now we're waiting for a car to pick us up and we are going on the Napa Wine Train. I am so excited. It's like a two and a half hour train ride where they take you and you get to see all these beautiful vineyards and mountains and I'm so excited and they feed you lunch and my mom gets wine. So I'm so excited. Oh, I'll show you guys my outfit. So I'm wearing this top that I just got at Zara for literally nine dollars. It's like Gangnam. I'm really into Gangnam right now. It's just I thought it was good for like Napa. I don't know. And I'm wearing these necklaces from Forever 21. My David Yerman bangle. My new favorite jeans from Topshop and then my same Steve Madden sandals that I wore last night. So that is the look and we have the door open because the fresh air feels so nice but it's been real Calistoga Motor Lodge. I think I'm just gonna have one more strawberry. Guys, it literally looks like we're about to embark on the Polar Express. So the train ride started with us sitting in this little loungy area where you had your appetizers. It was so cool. I literally felt like I was on the Polar Express. So we had grapes, cheese, a little bread. It was so good. Like I couldn't stop eating it but don't worry, I still saved room for the regular lunch. I caught my mom taking some Instagram pictures. Then we went to the back of the train and it was such a cool view. It felt so good. The wind in your face felt so nice and then we got to walk around the train a little bit more. Of course, we had to explore. We got to see the kitchen. Really cool stuff. We then got moved over to the dining room where we had our beautiful three-course meal. We had amazing salads. Then we had some great main courses and then we ended with some dessert and coffee of course. Off to our next hotel, Hotel Yountville. It was such a great welcoming there. Oh my gosh guys, so the beltman just took us to our hotel room and like they were like you've been upgraded. So we're like oh cool but we didn't know to what extent. Alright, ready? Here's a tour. Go! So we stayed in the premium king room at Hotel Yountville. It was like our own little area. It was so nice. The bathroom was huge and the shower you guys was a steam shower. It literally was like a spa in your own hotel room and I loved the white tile. It was so nice and then you just get out to the main area and you're like taken aback. It was absolutely beautiful. The bed was just so well made. Everything was just pristine and beautiful and cozy. We got a little gift here with a letter too. How sweet. We love Hotel Yountville. Guys, there's even like this beautiful peaceful wind chime spa music playing. Like I am just so content right now you guys. Oh my goodness. So we're going downstairs to the lobby to get a tour of the hotel. I'm so excited from what I've seen already. I absolutely love it. So this is a beautiful little area that my mom and I spent a lot of time at after dinner, between meals, just hanging out and then we got to see all their beautiful high end rangers and the pool. Don't even get me started on this beautiful pool. We got to tour Spa Aqua where my mom actually got a facial and she said it was amazing but you guys will see that later. But definitely get a chance to check out Spa Aqua if you do stay at Hotel Yountville. Great experience. Highly, highly recommend. Alright guys, it's a little bit later and I just finished curling my hair and getting ready. We're going to dinner at a restaurant called Lucy tonight. I'm so excited. So I'm wearing this dress. It's just like a white, it's almost like a mini dress. It goes like right like on my knees but I really like it. I thought it was good for Napa. You know it's like super fun. $10 at Forever 21. I didn't tell you that. It is time for dinner. Oh, I love this so much. Guys, look at this Caesar salad. This is like unreal. All in all, our meal at Lucy was delicious and one of the chefs actually gave us a tour of the garden. Hi guys, I'm here with Gianna and Jilly and they are subscribers and I ran into them. We're walking back to the hotel so I just want to put them in the vlog. Say hey. And then we have to go to bed early tonight because we got to wake up super early tomorrow morning because we are going on a hot air balloon ride. We literally have to be there at 5 30 a.m but like so worth it. We just got to the pool. So we got the fire going and the lights are dimmed and mama's already in bed. It is time for bed. I'm going to hop into bed now. We have to wake up in a couple hours so good night guys. See you in the morning. Alright guys, it is 5 20 a.m. We are going to head over to the Napa Valley Aloft hot air balloon tours. Now we're gonna go hot air ballooning. Wow, it's so early. Alright, so I got my jasmine green tea. What are you drinking? Same and cheers to hot air balloon rides. It looks like they're blowing their balloons up now. Oh my gosh, we're going. Oh my god, stop. I cannot explain how surreal that hot air balloon ride experience was. It was definitely something I've always wanted to do and now we have so many pictures to remember and we celebrated with a little bit of a bouchon bakery trip and it was great. I got a latte. So we got back to the hotel about an hour ago and I laid in bed and I edited a vlog. So my mom's over at the Aqua Spa here. It's absolutely amazing. I got a tour of it yesterday. I'm like wow, it's amazing and she's getting a facial so I can't wait to hear how that went for her. So the pool actually reserved a cabana for me to lay around in and go in the pool and all that fun stuff. So I'm gonna lay poolside for a little bit because the pool here is just gorgeous and I'm actually gonna bring my planner and like plan. So I come to the pool and I find this. Oh my gosh, this is so sweet. My mom just got a facial from Fabiola here at the spa over there. You look pretty relaxed. Yeah, you were in there a long time. So my mom and I just ordered lunch and cabana and we're like can we have a little of this and a little of that but we don't want that and I also ordered a mocktail and I was like whatever the bartender wants to do. It's vacation. Oh my gosh. So the bartender just brought me this watermelon mojito. It's, I like to call it a fojito but like that's so cute and he doesn't even know I love watermelon so thank you dude. So we got all kinds of food going on here. We got some chips and guac, fruit. This is my salad. It's got chicken and some beautiful greens and then we wanted to try the grilled cheese so it's time to dig in mama. She wanted french fries too and I drew the line. Yeah, we had to stop. We are now getting ready. We just filmed a get ready with me for my channel so that should be up soon. I'm really excited. We did our makeup, even my mom did and now I'm gonna blow dry my hair. We are going to dinner tonight at this nice place so yeah that's what's going on. Whoa, we look like related here or something. I think they are. So we are headed to Bouchon for dinner tonight. I'm really excited. Thomas Keller is the chef there and he also owns the restaurant, French Laundry, Ad Hoc. She's bringing her high heels and she's putting them on when we get there but she's gonna walk in the sandals. Bar walk. So yeah, this is a little out for the day. My dress is from Forever 21. Her shirt's from Forever 21, it's mine. My pants are from Zara. There you go and we're gonna go. Right before we get to the restaurant, she's changing her shoes so we arrive in style. Good morning. What are we doing now? We're looking at the menu now just because we really like our room. We want to enjoy it and don't want to rush out. So they brought us our room service in a bicycle which was so cool. I love it. So we're gonna dig in. Room service was served and then we had to pack up our bags and head to the airport to go back home.
