Alcaraz Battles Coric; Struff vs Karatsev For Place In Final! | Madrid 2023 Highlights Semi-Finals

Oh, well, what a misjudgment. Coric did magnificently, actually, to get there and still force him to hit another ball. Superb stuff from Borna Coric. Impressive. Oh, great hand skills. Former coach with him. Yeah. Magnificent from Carlitos. A forehand of some note from Carlos Alcaraz earns him the breakthrough. So the full array there, didn't we? So in that game, a grandstand finish to a set that Alcaraz had to work very hard to win. Fabulous stuff here in Madrid. It's tough when you take the ball early, isn't it? There's another first serve point for Coric that Alcaraz is able to neutralize. Coric gets his reward. And doesn't he deserve it? Oh, he couldn't quite get there. And how often Alcaraz is the one having the final say. The flight and the height was effective. And he's done well. That's a good response from the Croatian. It's a birthday celebrated in style on court from Carlos Alcaraz. He's too good for Borna Coric. It is 28 wins from 30 matches played on the year. He remains on track to defend the title in the Spanish capital. Seized on that one quickly. Well, as good as the forehand can be, it's let him down on a couple of occasions there. And I'll be thinking. Oh, he's missed it. Some finish. And Karadzev's on a roll. Aslan Karadzev looking for a second win. Oh, that is ridiculous. A full stretch. Well, as he did in the first. Karadzev had the afterburners on to try and make him play one more ball. It's the lucky loser that's still alive. It's a high quality start to this decider. Yeah, it's 15 in a row on serve for Aslan Karadzev. It's classily done. What a return. And what a return. A special shot. Given the circumstances, that's more like it. Leonhard Struch is a Masters 1000 finalist for the very first time.
