So Liverpool, red hot at the moment.
Let's take it through Brentford's team.
What are we seeing today?
Well, we're seeing three defenders there.
The back five, at times, they've gone from four.
Very flexible manager now, Thomas Frank.
What he always does, though, I know he's placed three in midfield.
Now, he's missing probably his best player in there, Christian Norgard's out injured,
but Yen out does a pretty good job holding.
Iñaka comes into the side on the right-hand side.
There's more technicality from Jenson.
And it's the two up front, and they're very flexible again.
I like them. They play together.
Ivan Toni, what a season he's had him, by the way.
20 Premier League goals, third highest behind Haaland and Kane,
and also in Bournemouth, he's got good numbers.
Usually plays on the right, but this time he'll be up front with Toni.
Away we go at Liverpool's home form this season,
but Brentford have no fear, they have no pressure,
and that can be an intoxicating mix.
Jim Beckering alongside me.
Jim, we were agonising over the formation
and exactly how Liverpool were going to line up.
What do you make of what you see?
Well, as you look at it from the start, it's a standard 4-3-3,
and Cody Gakpo is actually playing right side of midfield.
Just to the right of Fabinho.
Qualifying for Europe.
Mo Salah steaming away up this right-hand side for Liverpool.
Salah, outside of the boot, lovely ball in.
And Jorgensen nods it behind for the corner.
Great ball in from the outside of his boot.
I think he started particularly sharp, but Gakpo does very, very well here
as he's falling over to actually keep that in play and set Salah up.
And, yeah, it is a lovely little cross to Alexander-Arnold's.
Salah, Fabinho, a bit of space for him.
A great ball in, Van Dijk towards the far post!
Liverpool score.
Mo Salah, another 30-goal season, Anfield royalty.
Yeah, I think the only doubt was as to whether it might have been offside
once the ball is headed from Van Dijk.
It's a lovely little ding from Fabinho.
Tony went down, he feels he was fouled,
and he's making a complaint to the referee
that it was Van Dijk who played his part in that.
But I thought the Dutchman did well to set Salah up.
He needed a second touch because the first one wasn't great.
He tried to put it in the net with his right foot.
That didn't work out, but he was able to just follow it up,
get there before Raya to ensure it found the back of the net.
And the assistant's not even interested in raising his flag.
Jürgensen, Fabinho breaking from midfield.
Man, Nunez.
Nunez.
Nunez goes for goal, and the flag goes up.
It's one of those frustrating ones when you had a feeling it was offside,
but the assistants are told to wait if it's remotely tight.
Yeah, well, it looked it to me straightaway.
But then when you look at it again, you think,
well, has Henry just kept him onside?
Van Dijk.
Alexander-Arnold, brilliant ball in Nunez!
Gorgeous little sand wedge over the top from Alexander-Arnold,
and Nunez will be so disappointed to miss this.
I keep saying it, this is why he might save Liverpool a lot of money in the summer,
I mean, that is delicious, that is good as it comes.
And maybe a little flavour of what's happening to Nunez at this moment in time,
not quite coming off.
It is Tony, and that whistle's just wide.
Full stretch there, Alisson, it was a wonderful strike from Tony.
How close was this?
Yeah, well, you knew when you saw the wall that was created by the Brentford players,
you knew it was going to break up and it was going to go through that.
But finishing the season strongly.
What a lovely through ball.
And Van Dijk in trouble here,
Brentford going through, brilliant equaliser.
Up goes the flag, right at the very end,
and Bermo once again is denied.
It took an awful long time before Gary Bezic put his flag up,
and Bermo thought he'd scored in front of the Kop.
Ooh, it's tight.
Yeah, he did look just offside, I must admit,
but this is the danger, and it's more like it from Brentford.
I mean, we need to see a little bit more of that
between Ivan Tony and Mbuemo in setting each other up.
Offside, there you go, he's just offside,
but it just shows you that Van Dijk is under pressure.
Jotter continues his run, Jotter!
Oh, now how did that stay out?
Well, Gakko was on the line there, he surely had to score,
and somehow it stayed out.
Incredible, absolutely incredible miss.
Yeah, it happens because it's driven, it's driven at him.
It's, again, great running from Jotter to get in the space,
and he's hit it so hard that Gakko just thinks he needs to let it hit him and it'll go in, but...
Just flicked off the head of Van Dijk.
Mo Salah.
Henderson.
Important block, but hooks it back across.
Alexander-Arnold!
Top save from David Reyer, I guess that was bound for the top corner.
Yeah, he's had a couple of sighters up to now, Alexander-Arnold,
but I think he's going to get this opportunity more and more,
with teams defending deeper, and he just gets that little opening to unleash Graeme Scott.
Liverpool corner then, they've got it exactly where they want it.
Of the top four, they beat Brentford by a goal to nil,
Mo Salah, the man, his 30th goal of the season early in the first half,
proved to be enough.
Liverpool, sick, successive Premier League victory,
which takes them on the brink of the top four.
It's not in their hands, but they're doing all they can.
They keep winning, Mo Salah keeps scoring,
30 for the season, for the fourth time in his Liverpool career.
Liverpool have got the job done, Liverpool 1-0 Brentford.
for Premier League mornings every weekend on USA Network and on Peacock.
We will see you over there.
