Casper Ruud vs Holger Rune | Monte-Carlo 2022 Extended Highlights

40-15 It's the kind of tennis he's done it with. It's brave, it's well done, not easy to take on a ball, it's just floating. He tries to move as much back as he can. Unfortunately, it's like if you hit the wall or something like that, because he's in his normal position, they try and move as much away. I guess it was a hindrance, right? Because it hindered my shot. It did hinder your shot, yeah, but it's not a hindrance, so we pay the point. Why is it not a hindrance? Because that's the rule. If you hit him and he's in his normal position, he can't go anywhere else. He's trying his best to be as far back as possible. Oh, what a combination. Forcing his opponent back. A good example, Marcef. If you played at the right time, it doesn't have to be the best drop shot you've ever played in your life. That is a special kind of play. Beautiful touch. It's another beautiful combination. And the trust in the backhand, because he's on his way as soon as he hits this. He knows, he expects that it's going to be good. To deal with this one, a very late decision from... Some overhead. What a way to start a tiebreak. That is something more than special. A couple of important points there. He's missed it. The backhand's wide. Kasper Ruud survives. A really tough opening set. And this time he's converted. Wonderful effort after that first set slipped away. He's bounced back quickly. And that's the evidence of just the briefest of dips. You've got to get around the court very well. You need, in this day and age, probably a couple of weapons to see how cleanly that ball comes off the strings. That disappeared quickly, that service game. Just shaking out that left leg a touch. Keep an eye on that. He's got the break back. Didn't see that coming. It was never looking good, was it, once? I think it might be cramped. Just started to play its part in that 11th game. Kasper Ruud... Eventually... Finishes off the teenager. But he had to work hard. Job done for the number four seed. Semi-finalist here last year. He moves into the round of 16. Sets up a meeting with Grigor Dimitrov.
