One of the things about Utah that can get a little crazy is that in the winter,
a lot of your backcountry exploration gets cut off unless you have snowmobiles.
And this is kind of a nice hybrid in there.
So this is a family rig. It's not mine.
But the access that it provides is just so awesome.
Be able to come.
We're going to head about 12 miles in to my cousin's remote cabin
back in here and do some backcountry snowboarding.
Spend the evening with some of my cousins.
Kind of a guy's trip.
My brother Mike, it's going to be an awesome adventure.
Crystal Range and the Can-Am Defender with the tracks on it.
The stuff that these things can do
with tracks is just unreal.
What you can go up totally makes a UTV.
It's an absolute beast in the snow.
All right, well, we've ran our first obstacle.
There's a drift that comes through right here.
And because of the snow on it, we just slid.
We're a little bit on the edge over here on this side.
So we're kind of cutting out with the shovels.
And I'm going to see what we can do to
cruise forward over it.
After a few hours of snowboarding and as it started to get dark,
we headed into the cabin and spent the evening
just catching up and enjoying each other's company.
And Mike, come get your butt in here.
All right.
Saturday morning and we're just loading up the machines.
Going to go do a little bit of trail maintenance and kind of spread it out.
But do some boarding.
We'll go up to the top, do some boarding down, then work on some trail maintenance.
Today, we're cruising in a snow groomer, guys.
Defender, it's got a cabin heater.
I don't know why we used ours yesterday.
Oh, check this out.
That's cushy life right there.
Dropping those guys off.
They're going to walk up the ridge about 100 yards or so
and drop in on some new powder.
You know, this isn't your traditional overlanding by any means, but
you know, 12, 13 miles isn't a ton to cover on a dirt road.
But when you're doing it on snow machines into the backcountry,
that's pretty awesome.
Mike and I grew up doing a lot of backcountry snowboarding where we grew up.
And man, this is as good as it gets.
We've got incredible snow conditions.
This has been one of the best snow years Utah's had in like 30 years.
And we've got our own private canyon over here that we have.
Just almost unlimited amount of lines that you can take.
And then just switching off drivers, shuttling up and down
inside the UTV with tracks.
Man, it's a blessed day.
Feels amazing out here.
This is my first time ever skinning and definitely weird.
And I'm probably doing it wrong in lots of ways.
But it sure works a lot better than hiking.
And it's gorgeous.
This is pretty awesome.
I want to give a huge thanks to my cousins, Richard and Sam, who hosted us.
They own a couple of incredible businesses that made this all possible.
Snow groomers.net is their business, where they sell all types
of snow grooming equipment to help you from cabin access to freestyle
skating, Nordic ski jumping, cross-country skiing and everything in between.
Additionally, the Camso tracks that we purchased for them for our UTV
came from snow-machines.com.
I've done a lot of adventures in the snow, and everything we did
would be completely impossible without a set of tracks.
These things are absolutely incredible.
We really didn't even showcase them to their full potential
because we weren't recording when we were cutting in our original lines.
But overall, these make it so that you can get deep into the backcountry
without issues.
I'm absolutely blown away by just how effective they are.

Thanks so much for watching.
I don't know how much of that I got, but
because I was kind of...
I sucked so bad, I just can't...
Oh, that was fun.
I hope I got a little bit of it.
Oh, man.
