And if you want to keep up day to day stuff check out IG I'm every where
Welcome back guys. We're in the truck. We're heading out to Pisgah. We're gonna meet up with
my buddy Brock and drop ride middle and lower black. Let's go ahead and jump into a little
bike check with these guys and kind of see who we're riding with today. Ben Halligan,
yeah, living in Morganton. Was in Asheville for like 20 years. Back to do black and got my
kind of custom Salsa, I call it the Blasity because it's a black door and aluminum frame
built as a Cassidy. I got 180 in the front, 160 in the back, spank wheels on factor hubs,
cockpit set up with a factor stem, SRAM brakes, SRAM drivetrain. So here's Brock,
this is who I was talking about and we're about to do a little check for his bike.
This is a great, amazing bike. I love the way it looks. I love everything about it.
The faster you go, the better it is. Andriani Pro Impact fork system makes me
do dumb stuff. Super Moose tire inserts cannot beat them from Andriani.
Okay. Well, and as my bike check as usual, I'm still using all the same stuff. Still love it.
Box Prime 9. I've got the Fox Factory suspension. I have the Crank Brothers pedals. I have TRP
brakes. I'm just loving this bike still. It's just still working like a dream straight race bike.
Making up for your fitness with the bike is definitely a real thing. And we're at Smoker's
Cove and we are going to pedal on up Clawhammer and do black. We talked Ben out of doing full
black. So now we're all doing the same thing. We're gonna go up there. Let's get to that good
time. Oh yeah. Yeah. I'm looking right through them sleeves. So where do our GoPro guys order?
Brock's killing it. I'm usually a pretty quick guy. I'm not sure how fast of a rider you are,
but that's usually, I don't know how you guys ride, but usually that pans out.
I'm pretty flowy. Parkour! Parkour!
Tire pressure feels pretty good. All right, there goes the group behind us is gone now.
Okay, it's funny. I actually lived with Brock when I first moved to North Carolina
in DuPont for early videos. Mountain House, that's where I was at Brock's.
Brock's now has a, a son of six weeks old. So our riding is, it's almost like we were
rowdy before, but now we kind of just ride when we can. Work's taking over
and we're trying to make the best of it when we can. He's definitely still fast baby.
Yeah, Brock always, once he went 29, I think he was on the smuggler from transition.
And when he went 29, he was like, dude, can't go back. And then I finally got on the Yeti
and I was like, okay, almost fell off the track.
But once I got on the two nine, like he was right. It's just a totally different ability
for the two nine to go through the chunk real good.
Foot sliding a little bit. Still good traction though. On my toes.
Oh, that's a hard wall.
Those are, oh, that was an interesting one. I was just pushing on that one.
You can see it on camera, but it's definitely like a, a ******* push. Oh, hold up. Is this
right here? It's at the bottom. These are the two weird, hard switchbacks on this trail.
That's how you know you're at the bottom. Zero. Huh? Huh? Zero for a break. That was a nice
smoothing dude. I mean, I can smell the brakes. We were cooking pretty good. I mean, you got a
pump handy. I actually do have this weird pump thing. This guy got me one of my subscribers.
I'm going to try my bike, let him borrow it. And then he returned my bike with a sweet one
pump. It is attached to the bottle cage area right there. And I just, I always carry the
fanny pack with extra stuff in it. This guy's claiming like he's claiming he's running *******
20 and like I sat on it. It was great. It's like, what'd you call it? What are the, what are we
talking about? The inserts? And your honey makes it, it's called super moose, 20 PSI, 16 in the
front. So what makes it different from, um, it's a full circle, dual density foam. So it supports
the side to run flat and you can run low, low, low pressures. Hmm. Interesting. We will check
that out. Roll on them solely. Huh? Yeah. Oops. Just shoves down in there. Yeah. Take out the
plug. Ooh. Oh, your plug was still in, huh? Plugging away. This has been super convenient.
Thank you. Thank you sir. For the tool. But yeah, I definitely, sometimes I want to check
out your bike and I was like, yeah, yeah, just take the Yeti. It's good to go.
I just love when people stop at the bottom.
That is the, see the skin mark.
Parkour. Parkour. Parkour.
Two hands, two hands. Oh, I could double that one. I think I always see that one. I always
wish I would double it. Getting loose. Here comes the, here comes the chatter.
Man, the bike is, I think that's a round and check my linkage. Sounds a little round.
Reset. Relax. Open the hands. Settle in. Trust the tires. Get the traction.
Oh, that was a, I hate that corner. Let's get set back up in there.
Ooh. All right. Let's get at her. Stay loose. Light on the pedals. Let the trail happen.
No more hard braking. Quit going on the inside of the turns. Stay high side. That was a good one.
Nice line Brock. Easy, breezy, sneezy boy. Walker up. Sorry guys.
I went way too high on that one.
I like committed to a knuckle buster on that one. Parkour. That was a good one. Parkour. Parkour.
Oh, that was, that was a big rock there. Oh, I know, right?
Brock's fitness is getting me. He's getting me. Relax. Relax. See the line. Close the gap.
It's nice and calm. Nice and smooth. Grab the wall. Run. He's gone.
Damn it Brock. Hand pump got me. He's only right there. His fitness got me there.
Damn. Oh, that's fun. It's over slowing you down, man. I got some arm pump going.
I couldn't keep up Brock. You got me again. I got Brockered.
