Yesterday, we visited the Arc de Triomphe.
We also saw the Eiffel Tower.
Today, we're going to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica.
The Sacré-Cœur Basilica is located in Montmartre, the 18th arrondissement.
Get off at the Chateau Rouge metro station on Line 4
Turn onto Passage Cottin and walk straight ahead
Then, it's all scenery
This is what Passage Cottin looks like on Google Maps
The sign on the wall reads Passage Cottin
There are houses deep in the alley
It's very charming.
There are endless views along the way
Isn't it cool to live in an alley?
The Sacré-Cœur Basilica is located on the top of Montmartre
We just keep walking up the stairs
The path is deep and secluded
The view is unique
This street lamp is very traditional
The Sacré-Cœur Basilica is a Catholic church built of white marble
It's one of the most famous landmark in Paris
It combines the Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles
The dome is as high as 80 meters
It was started in the late 19th century and completed in the early 20th century
It took 44 years to complete
How do you guys like this saxophone performance?
This is the work of a street artist
There are two bronze statues in front of the church
On the left is Louis IX
On the right is Saint Joan of Arc
The square in front of the church is a spacious area
where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Paris
including the beautiful scenery of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine River
The interior of the church is a bright and spacious space
I saw this kind of tiled roof for the first time
It's really spectacular
Ah!
The place where artists gather is next to the church
Place du Tertre
with a strong artistic atmosphere
Various artists showcase their works here

The most famous staircase, the Montmartre staircase
has countless art works created based on it
The stairs connect the top and bottom of Montmartre Mountain and are about 300 meters long
It feels like filming a movie
This is not a big production
Just leaving a memory for the future
The next stop is the Notre-Dame Cathedral
Paris Courthouse
I've heard that the Notre-Dame Cathedral is very beautiful
but also very melancholy
It's closed
I didn't expect that after the big fire in 2019
it's still under repair now
We are back to the Seine River again
The journey for this day is basically over
