Germany is behind EU inquiry into bogus Chinese biofuels

Germany has confirmed with Reuters that it prompted the European Commission to probe fake biofuel imports from China.

A spokesperson for the German Environment Ministry reportedly said the German government “has asked the Commission to carry out an assessment to determine whether the sustainability criteria and requirements for greenhouse gas reductions ... are met for fuels originating in China.”
