One thing Switzerland has left, a mark in people's mind on how nature is beautifully sculpted.
The picture-perfect lakes and majestical mountains.
This is why we don't stop comparing every beautiful rolling hills or mountains peak to Switzerland.
Today's trip is another proof of the rewarding nature of this country.
For your information, if I'd recommend an ultimate hike for anyone who wants to visit Switzerland,
this will be my first choice for you to do.
First, let's speak about Grindewald, a magical village that will take you closer to the Alps.
It is part of Interlaken region with a view of the Eiger mountain.
People love visiting this town in all seasons, but this time we want to visit it during summer
to see how green can merge with the stones and snowy peaks,
to create a picturesque image that you can never forget.
We've taken the train from Interlaken to Grindewald and to go to our starting point,
we will need to hop on the gondola which will take us to Männlichen.
First things first, please spare an hour additional for the day to visit the Royal Walk
once we reach to Männlichen which is 7687 feet mountain high.
The cable car that will take you to the peak is going to warm you up for what you are about to see
shortly after. You will slowly start to see the views of the rolling hills.
Once you step out of the cable car station, you will see a restaurant,
a playground area that can be entertaining for kids, families and others to spend time
and have fun while surrounded with amazing views of the Alps.
But there is one more exciting thing to do.
On the right hand side of Männlichen is what is called Royal Walk.
It is about one kilometer uphill to reach to the observation deck
that is designed to look like a crown. So it's about two kilometers to return.
Many fun facts along the way and seats to take a break and relax if you need any.
And enjoy the breathtaking views.
Once you reach the top, you will definitely be rewarded with 360 degree views of the Alps.
And finally we made it to Royal Walk. It doesn't seem like Turajl anymore.
We're hardly catching up our breath.
After the joyful trip, it is time for the real hike.
Going down and heading to the other direction. It is easy and very popular hike.
You will not be alone. In fact, you will see people from all ages,
friends, family, alone and other tourists taking this pretty walk,
enjoying perhaps the summer if you come around July.
You will be having amazing view along the way. Don't worry, you will not be bored or tired.
While I will let you see some of the views along the hike,
let me tell you why I feel Switzerland is a hiking paradise.
You will notice the roads are well planned for hiking,
leaving very less discomfort for any traveler. The most important is you feel safe.
Unlike in most other countries, the roads are not easy to find and
it will take a little bit more efforts to explore any mountain.
So let me tell you this, transportation is playing massive role for why this country
is great for hiking. Availability of high-end trains, adding up to the mountain trains,
cable cars, gondolas, all those will make sure that you can reach any peak in the country.
The Eiger Peak will be watching you all the way until you reach to the last point.
And this is how it is in Switzerland. Even on the top of the mountains,
they are trying to pave roads for everyone to walk through.
Kleinscheideck. This train station here will be the one you have to take to go down to
Just choose the village you want to explore after mentioning.
Or perhaps you can visit both of them. If you still have some energy,
you can take a break at Wennen and challenge yourself to a steep hike down to Lothar Pollen.
I have done it and it's worth it. You can check it in the video link in the description.
