Let's start then with both Miguel and Riaz and we'll go with the the sun I think shall we because
this is a cracking headline and we've got an Australian manager facing his first press
conference chaps and he's talking about Harry Kane. Of course you go with the headline
timey kangaroo down sport and I will sell Harry my vision they say boss's bid to stop by and
nicking their star. Let me start with you Miguel you know I'm sure Posta Coglio was expecting his
first press conference to be dominated by Kane and it was. It's dominated your papers in recent
weeks and months even our coverage as well but with the new manager in place are we any nearer
to a resolution? I don't think so I have to say and after despite reports of a second offer by
Byron I think this will still rumble on. I suppose at the very least and this is one thing that Kane
would have wanted from Spurs, Posta Coglio brings a lot more clarity and I think either whatever way
they came to the decision and I suppose there has been some dispute about that given there was a
little bit of weight about it I do think that Posta Coglio is a really good manager for Spurs
uh who will who would bring a refresh and he's also I mean Spurs fans won't forgive me for saying
this but he also I think strengthens the argument that given Kane's age given there's just a year
left of his contract given that you could be missing out on 80 to 100 million of potential
rebuild money for a new style of football it does at least threaten the logic to maybe now
if you're ever going to do it to bite the bullet and sell but I suppose I mean
that Daniel Levy and the club maybe they don't want to be seen to take that decision given Kane's
legacy um but I mean to be honest I think it's for Posta Coglio himself and obviously got asked
about this a lot today but I do think it's not quite win-win but it can be positive both sides
if they sell Kane this summer he's got more rebuild money now I suppose Spurs would have to
act quick then and there are questions about maybe the succession plan but still at the very least he
can do something different and if Kane stays of course he's got um he's got one of the greatest
goal scorers in English football history uh but as to whether he goes obviously Bayern are making
these bids because they've had some encouragement I think they can get a deal done um and I would
imagine Kane is very much intrigued by the offer if it comes right down to it though I still can't
see Kane going to Germany now I might be wrong on that but it still feels a preference would be
say to go to a Manchester United but then of course then we come back to the issue of
negotiating with negotiating with Spurs um the Metro that the headline they go with is the the
Ange of Uncertainty the new Tottenham boss Posta Coglio still in the dark but he hopes to convince
Kane to stay and this was the point he made in his press conference wasn't it Riyadh that you know
he wants to sit down with him he says he's one of the premier strikers in the world I want him
involved and he wants to give him his vision for Tottenham but how much do you think Posta Coglio
himself can influence the future of Harry Kane at Spurs yeah obviously he's got to try and like
like Miguel saying that when you look at these kind of these two scenarios do you have Kane
don't you have Harry Kane one of those is obviously tremendous the other one is the fact that we you
know we're hurtling towards the middle of July Harry Kane comes out of that team and you have to
do a vast rebuild of the side the way it plays then you're going to have the factor of how do
you spend the money so look clearly he wants to keep Kane he's got to try to keep Kane I I think
if we were looking at a kind of parallel here I think something's going to go in his favor with
this is I don't think anyone would take a look at Harry Kane the person and think that he would
agitate to get a move and there are players in that circumstance who might I think even if we
look over in Paris at the moment what's going on with him that day he's giving interviews he's
talking about a divisive club you don't see that from Harry Kane where you're not going to have
that kind of situation so ultimately it's going to come down to whether or not someone makes
the kind of offer that Daniel Levy is going to accept I again sort of goes what Miguel was saying
a moment ago I I don't I don't necessarily buy the idea that Tottenham don't want to sell Harry
Kane this summer frankly it would seem illogical for them to hold on to him sure you'd be taking
a gamble maybe getting the top four next season but that's an enormous gamble if you can get
upwards of 80 million this summer I'm still convinced they can he's 29 years old he's just
had a 30 goal premier league season he's always looked after himself Harry Kane is even in the
final year of his contract is worth north of 80 million Tottenham would be mad not to accept an
offer in that kind of ballpark they'd also be mad to say they would accept an offer in that kind of
ballpark so that's the kind of that's the kind of game that they're playing now and of course
Pogge wants to wants to try and sell him his vision but ultimately if Kane has made up his
mind to leave I'm not entirely sure it matters what he gets told at this point you know there's
nothing that can necessarily happen at Tottenham that would surprise him at this point he's been
there under so many managers and for so long so if he needs that change of scenery if he needs that
club which is closer to securing trophies he's going to go of course depends on the offer but
you know it's this has already become the sort of transfer saga of the summer but
I would still expect that something happens this summer yeah and of course what Kane wants is the
uncertainty here because we're not entirely sure it's almost like there's been two options here
there's been sell him this summer or lose him for free next summer but there is a third option here
which the Telegraph picks up on Miguel we'll look at their their front page of their supplement top
left here there's a bumper deal for Kane the striker to get four hundred thousand pounds a week
if he stays at Tottenham could that be a goer could he stay and sign that new deal and possibly
commit himself to the club for good I mean funnily in all of this over the past years there
have been certain points when we've been told that Kane actually he would have committed funnily one
was maybe feel surprising now given how it played out but I suppose it is testament to Conte's name
as a manager and his first season at Spurs the first half season if you like where there was
a period there where Kane was really content with how things were going would have signed
and you would have to think that this is if there's any inclination maybe accept the contract
this is one he has to give huge consideration to ask to look longer I suppose than say the first
two or three months of apostacoglu rain no matter how good it is because I mean this is essentially
the defining decision of his career now I mean the one already was the fact he signed such a long
contract for his last deal but at this point I mean it would be committing his future to Spurs
I've often thought I have to say throughout all this maybe it's a fourth option that and it was
maybe a bit cleaner when Real Madrid were briefly interested just before kind of Kylian Mbappe came
back on the market that um maybe he goes to somewhere like Madrid or Bayern what was it
they don't have the attraction Madrid in that sense for two years then comes back to Spurs
and then gets potentially the best of all worlds and maybe he gets those big trophies you know
guess gets guaranteed Champions League football and then comes back and breaks the Premier League
record anyway and there's still that kind of not not that any there'll be any bad will from Spurs
how loyal he's been to the club what a player he's been for them but more so just to kind of
it would actually maybe you know um improve his legacy to come back in that way uh but I suppose
we're getting into all sorts of the uh the permutations of this deal and why it remains
so complicated just before we move on one final headline to show you and this is in the star
and oh yes they've gone down the Australian route as well uh kangaroo is their their headline
Riyadh he said this could be the saga of the summer okay and we're gonna have a whole
summer of uh Aussie-based puns okay we'll leave that there shall we
