Bit of breaking news reaching us.
West Ham are becoming increasingly frustrated, we're told,
about the delay with the deal to sell Declan Rice to Arsenal.
Now, the £105 million deal has been agreed.
That was eight days ago.
But so far, this deal has not been signed,
and West Ham are still waiting to sign the contracts.
Now, the hold-up is being caused by delays with paperwork
being drawn up by Arsenal's lawyers.
And as far as West Ham are aware,
However, still no deal done announcement.
He's been training regularly on holiday in Portugal,
but as things stand, still not quite an Arsenal player,
and West Ham, it would seem, getting frustrated with the delays.
They, of course, will have their own transfer plans,
you would imagine, for which they will be relying
on some of the finances raised from the sale of Rice
to push ahead with those.
So, an intriguing situation,
and one that you expect would get sorted sooner
rather than later.
But certainly, a frustration we're hearing
on the West Ham side about this deal
and the delays taking place currently.
