Thanks for watching!
These are some of my best pickups so far on this channel
from Korean and Japanese street wear
to kicks and accessories.
And my hair is finally coming together as well.
Let's get it.
So for our first pickup,
this pleated tee from 3.3 Field Trip.
You're gonna be seeing this brand a ton in the video.
And as you can probably tell,
this takes a lot of inspiration
from Own Please by AC Miyake.
And if you do check out this brand,
keep in mind that almost all of their products are one size.
So some of their pieces may or may not fit on you.
And I would recommend an in-person try.
Although I am five foot seven,
this still fits pretty decent on me.
You know, it's a tad bit too long.
So if anything, I might get it tailored
or just keep tucking in my shirt.
And then we got a similar textured piece
from the same brand as well,
which is their pleated tank top.
Obviously the pleats are slightly different,
but the texture is really nice.
And this tank top is perfect.
It's pleated and textured.
There'll be less fabric
that'll be in contact with your skin.
So hopefully I'm not gonna die from the heat,
but out here it gets pretty humid in the summertime.
So we'll see.
Now, because this is a tank top,
naturally your fit's gonna be more casual.
So don't think too hard about it.
And I got a light gray slash mint colorway
as well as the black colorway,
just for some versatility.
And if you really wanna optimize
how these will look on you or tanks in general,
you guys know I always recommend just hitting the gym.
Just remember, we're gonna be layering less.
So you want more textured pieces
and pieces that'll stand out
because you just can't rely on layering
and these textured pieces always come in clutch.
I don't know about y'all,
but I have been feeling button-ups lately for the summertime,
especially these boxy ones.
These ones are clearly not meant to be formal.
They're boxy, they're oversized.
So they're not meant to be fitted.
They're not meant to be worn with trousers,
although you can.
They're just meant to be worn more casually.
So I've picked up three of them.
I've got this white boxy one,
this short sleeve pinstripe blue one.
And then I got this one that I'm rocking right now.
All of these are dope pieces,
boxy cuts, has a curved hem.
And what I love about these
is you can wear them buttoned up, halfway buttoned,
or just open like I am right now.
And even though there's a collar,
it kind of looks more formal.
You can style these more casually with a beanie or a cap.
And I just think these pieces are perfect
for spring and summertime,
especially if you cuff it,
showcase some of your accessories,
maybe some frames and all that.
And it's also a perfect casual day type outfit.
You know, it feels a little bit more formal,
but it's casual as well.
And these are actually enjoyable to style.
You can have a lot of fun with it.
Lately, I've been liking the juxtaposition
of a more formal piece like this
with some like cargo pants or wide fitting pants,
obviously a beanie or a cap.
You try that with a fitted Oxford shirt,
it's not gonna work.
So these make things a little bit more interesting.
And I definitely recommend any of these garments
from 3.3 Field Trip or any other brand that you like.
And next up, we have some jewelry pickups
from the brand, The Jade Jewelers.
Now, full transparency,
they did send these items over to me
and I'm glad they did
because I have been wearing jade my whole entire life.
So these are certified jade stone
and it's a nice, clean, simple design with a pop of color.
I do have a jade ring myself
that I got from a Chinatown thrift.
And that's something that you're going to notice.
Every single jade ring
is going to look a little bit different.
Mine kind of has a milky to green type of look.
This has a vibrant green type of look.
And there's a ton of different type of jade.
You see orange, you see milky white.
And they also sent over
this beautiful bare brick inspired jade necklace.
It looks dope, has a solid chain.
And if that's not for you,
they've got something for everyone.
From Hello Kitty, to a Buddha, to a cross,
to even just a heart.
And they go hard with the rest of their lineup
along with their packaging.
I don't know if you've noticed earlier,
this ring box has a built-in LED light.
It's solid construction, solid sounding thunk as well.
Definitely check them out.
If you're unfamiliar with jade,
I would definitely recommend starting off with the ring.
Anybody can wear jade.
So don't feel like you're out of place.
It's definitely something anybody can rock.
And right now, a quick word from our sponsor, Stitch Fix.
So Stitch Fix is a personal styling service
that makes picking out clothes in your size,
in your favorite styles, effortless.
Because I'm gonna be honest here.
I don't really like shopping.
I spend hours scrolling, trying to find the right products,
checking size charts all the time.
And I get tired.
It takes up a lot of my personal time
that I can use to create some YouTube videos.
And let me tell you something.
This is something I wish I had
when I first got started into fashion.
Don't be like young Johnny.
You start out by taking a quiz to help Stitch Fix
learn what your favorite styles are.
And this will be your own personal profile
to which a stylist will select five items just for you
in your style, in your size, and in your budget.
You just pay 20 bucks to have your fix curated
by a personal stylist,
which applies towards anything that you keep.
You can then keep what you love
and disregard what you don't like
and send it back with a prepaid envelope.
No subscriptions are required
and you can receive a fix anytime you want.
And me personally, I love using Stitch Fix
because I can push myself out of my comfort zone.
I always find it fun and entertaining
when I get new clothing items that yes, I do like,
but wouldn't really pull the trigger on.
And so yeah, I find it improves my style, my versatility.
Like these vans are something I never really get.
These straight cut jeans are underrated.
And this Dickies denim jacket
is a wash I typically wouldn't get,
but I decided to try it out anyways.
And now it's pushing me to appreciate different cuts
and different washes.
Stitch Fix does the hard work so you don't have to.
And this includes men, women,
and even your little one will be taken care of.

Okay, next up are these capacious pants
by the brand Traject by Ido Ido.
And can you tell this is a reshoot?
Got longer hair, interior design's a little different.
Just pretend it's the same shoe.
So a lot of people don't really know about this brand,
but I'm about to put y'all on.
This brand is consistently putting out unique pieces
and I'm a big fan of their pants.
This is their capacious pants, which has a cropped look.
And it's definitely one of the most breathable pants
that I own, which is perfect for the summertime.
You've got that four-way stretch,
plenty of room for movement.
This also has a Velcro waist strap.
You've got a dedicated foam pocket
and quick-drying technology.
Even though it's mad hot, I'd rather wear shorts.
This is doable.
Yeah, if you just check out the cut of these pants,
it's very unique.
You only see this in certain fashion aesthetics
like tech wear and all that,
which you can't consider this brand to be.
Now, me personally, when it comes to styling,
you guys know I like to combine certain fashion aesthetics.
I don't really lean 100% into one or the other.
I like to take some from one and add it to another one.
And that is why I love these pants
because they stand out so much
that even just a basic tee will complete an outfit
and make it look unique.
Now, my next pickup is from a new sneaker brand
that just started this year.
It's called 1587.
The brand name itself is when the first Asians
actually stepped into America,
which was 1587 in modern-day Morro Bay, California.
I didn't even know that.
So there's a lot of history built into these sneakers
with some modern twists.
And yeah, 1587 produces premium leather sneakers
that is supple, buttery, and straight out of Italy.
You got that full-grain natural leather,
calf leather lining, and waxed laces.
I never knew how much I enjoyed waxed laces
until I got some of these sneakers.
But yeah, it's a timeless look and design,
but they also have plenty of other variations,
different colorways, different sneaker models.
And because of that,
they go with pretty much every outfit.
You guys know I've been rocking Oliver Cabell's.
I am now switching to 1587.
I think these suit me a little bit more.
There's subtle changes that make these unique.
The platform is a little bit higher as well
than the Oliver Cabell's,
which is why y'all definitely need to check out
the newest sneaker brand, 1587.
And then we got this camp collared shirt from Abercrombie.
Can we just acknowledge how great Abercrombie did
with their rebranding?
Those of you guys that are really into fashion
should really study the brand Abercrombie
and how they came back.
Fascinating story.
Anyways, this is a linen camp collared over shirt,
and this is perfect, perfect for summertime.
You've got a very nice texture,
and because it's made out of linen, it's very breathable.
Even though it's a lighter material,
it just has a sophisticated look
that makes it feel much more premium.
So if you live in a hot area,
which I think most of the US
is dealing with a heat wave right now,
definitely check out this linen shirt.
And for those of y'all about to ask about my hair,
let me give you guys a tip
that you won't see too much on YouTube.
So if you have dry hair like me, naturally dry hair,
where your hair is kind of frizzy all the time,
leave-in conditioner will change your hair game.
So I grew up in the desert of New Mexico.
I was constantly dealing with dry heat,
which is why I think my hair
has always been dry my entire life.
My hair takes a long time to absorb moisture.
That's why I can dunk my head in the water,
pull it out, and it doesn't even look wet.
That's how you know you have dry hair.
It takes a long time for it to absorb moisture,
and that's why you want a leave-in conditioner.
And also with dry hair,
you guys might realize that your hair
looks better when it's wet, right?
So that is why whenever your hair is damp,
slap in some leave-in conditioner.
Your hair will absorb that leave-in conditioner,
moisturizing it throughout the day,
and then just add your normal products,
and then your hair will look constantly like this.
My hair still looks kind of wet
even though I showered this morning.
Most of the hair YouTubers I got a lot of respect for,
but a lot of them have naturally beautiful and luscious hair.
There's not too many with dry, frizzy, or curly hair.
And so I'm telling you,
if your hair looks better when it's wet,
pick up some leave-in conditioner,
and then add it to your styling routine.
But yeah, if you guys want a hair tutorial,
let me know in the comments down below.
I might make a video on it.
Last but not least, this is kind of left field,
but I feel like it's worth telling you guys about.
This right here is the MIUI Mini+.
Not sure if you guys heard about this, but this is awesome.
This thing right here holds over 10,000 games,
and all from different generations of consoles,
from the SNES, Game Boy,
all the way to PlayStation 1 game.
So it's in the shape of the OG Game Boy,
but with all four buttons.
And in the back, you have the R1, R2, L1, L2.
And I'm just out here reliving my childhood.
Nostalgia is one hell of a drug.
But yeah, whenever I have time to kill,
I'm just gonna be playing on this,
playing Metroid Fusion, Pokemon Emeralds,
even Tekken 3 from the PS1.
And if you guys wanna relive your childhood,
this is definitely worth picking up.
It's also a great gift to yourself or to someone else.
So definitely has been a great addition to my life.
All right, y'all,
those have been some of my summer pickups.
