The Abode Resort & Spa: Brunei's first solar powered luxury resort

Labort was designed to be completely out of the box Everything here is a bit unique and very much in tune with nature and the environment We were one of the pioneers to actually go 100% off-grid The shareholders have the intention of expanding just with solar power We have a total of 10 villas Eight of them are riverfront superior tents Two of them are family tents The riverfront villas actually have a capacity of four people and for families it's twelve people Only 10 villas were designed during the initial phase of the first stage We have 18 more villas coming in phase two It is still in the preliminary design stage We are looking at mid this year to launch phase two Maybe somewhere in July or August It will definitely be a completely different concept We are looking more into a treehouse concept The entire project consists of a total of 70 villas It depends on market sentiment We have two dining facilities One that is likely open by next month There's a full-service restaurant And then the one we are currently operating is called Sunset Lounge Facing the riverbank Once the restaurant opens Sunset Lounge will be mostly converted into a lounge The spa is actually designed within a jungle environment We are currently offering spa services directly at the villas In the near future we will start opening up the tents And guests can enjoy their massage in the wilderness We have three pools One is an adult pool One is a splash pool And the other one is a children's pool We have designed three separate nature trails We have our own classic defender to take guests on the nature trail So from there on the guide will adjust the pace of the tour according to the guests' speed Then we have our own catamaran It's a very stable boat for river cruises Most of the guides are actually local Temburong guides who are very familiar with the trail We have about 32 employees right now All of them are local We have This dome is part of the children's club The whole idea is to have the kids interact and enjoy nature To keep them away from digital life The whole idea is for them to enjoy the nature The habitats we have Then on the other side of the dome you can see there's a space for indoor games So this current dome is mainly used for movie nights So far we've received an overwhelming response since we opened on December 1st So if the border opens we might get more tourists But right now we are mainly attracting the local market
