Highlights: Barcelona - Tottenham | Joan Gamper Cup 2023

Evening all and what a glamour tie to sign off for this pre-season campaign, granted not one being played in the iconic Camp Nou. More of these players building on their pre-season fixtures that they've had, mixed results. Going to get in here through Rafinha, another back post is Lewandowski and Barcelona inside the opening three minutes, strike first and no surprise it is their top scorer from last season Robert Lewandowski who guides it past Vicario. The quality on the cross to find Lewandowski still a lot to do there on the finish of the bouncing ball left foot back across goal to give the home side the lead. Super finish from Lewandowski he has the confidence and composure to wait for that ball to sit down and his strike partner this evening Rafinha formerly of Leeds United supplies him. Barcelona one Spurs nil. De Jong over the top for Lewandowski Spurs in trouble again here back to Pedri Rafinha and Lewandowski nearly returned the favour. The distances between the players defensively that's that's where against the top teams you've got to get that right. It's Balde forward again Lewandowski can shoot from distance of course and Vicario is there to parry it away. The fabulous strike from Lewandowski has given Barca confidence to you know try and dominate the ball in spells. Spurs have not really created any clear-cut chances might be opportunity here. Reguilon beautiful ball in and the post has been struck but Spurs are level and there to pounce on the rebound it is Oliver Skipp against Barcelona but off of the post and the rebound credit to Oliver Skipp for following up and he just steadied himself right foot. But it does look like there are players that are in direct competition with each other you might even say Skipp and Sarr in a similar position in midfield. Vicario did well to come out and hit that and he has to make a really good recovery save to keep out Rafinha's shot. So a bit more whip on it this time and it did look menacing up towards Sanchez. Solomon a pill for hand ball he'll persevere and nearly scores. Spurs are making a massive appeal here for a penalty kick. Pedro Poro looking for Richarlison early couldn't they the slightly loose clearance and Lo Celso might pounce upon the loose parts of this here. Perisic and towards Richarlison but he had a second runner and Spurs have a second goal through that man again it's Skipp with a second from behind Spurs lead Barcelona by two goals to one. It was clipped in lovely delivery and there's Skipp arriving four yards out thumping head of Beyonce Stegen to put Spurs in front. Fabulous goal. Well he's only scored one competitive goal for Spurs before and it was that strike against Chelsea now he has two and a half against Barcelona in pre-season. Barcelona one Tottenham Oxford two. Perisic quick to apologize to Lewandowski Pedry off he did well to get the shot away in the end Pedry off balance over the bar trying to do so against Barca here not much in that for me either. Perisic he'll come back here to Pedro to Stegen keeps it out and Barcelona so close to conceding a third. Might be in trouble here Spurs Torres Barcelona have got themselves level it was a swift attack Ezalzouli with a time and space to pick out the man on to replace Lewandowski. Who just got in behind Regulant and he had the awareness to just unselfishly feed Torres centrally and when the cross come in he had a bit to do on the finish but Torres on contact was just able to lift it up and over Vicario for an equalizing goal 2-2. Spot on it was Yamal just onto the pitch who found Torres. To sort of keep the scoreline intact at 2-1 and win another pre-season game but I think we're gonna have an exciting finish here and maybe a winner for either team. Yamal's looked lively hasn't he since coming on shifted out to Ezalzouli we'll have a swerving effort and Vicario there's a cross to make his first meaningful save of this second half. Oh it's under the bar and Vicario is there to claw it out that is an outstanding stop to keep it at 2-2. Firmin Yamal he's a bag of tricks isn't he shifted into Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati is through the middle here to try and win it he might well have done. 90th minute from Barcelona's number 10 and for all that Spurs dominance and brilliance and chances created it looks like Barcelona have nicked the win at the end. There's a little change of direction the that was beautiful the touch reverse pass timing a run through ball from Torres and there's the finish that's a super goal if it's going to win the game. A bunch of Barcelona substitutes have freshened up their attack and Ansu Fati who's got a splendid goal against Milan the other day scores this one. Just swept in with real composure to just seal the victory 4-2. Players from the bench had to be seen and that's brought the home side through with this 4-2 victory.
