So far in this match, doing exactly that.
Gee, what a terrific...
It's another convincing win for Daniel Collins, the American qualifier.
What is up, tennis fans? This is JMDB. Welcome back to my YouTube channel.
Daniel Collins has defeated Leila Fernandez at the 2023 Montreal Open or the National Bank Open in Canada, 6-3, 6-3.
So the overall, Collins is just really, really too much for Fernandez today.
Who unfortunately, I guess, just couldn't really hold up and stay with Collins, hang with Collins in the rallies.
Because Collins is just sheer powerful from both wings.
And also coupled by the fact that Fernandez was also double-faulting a lot, committing errors that she shouldn't have committed
if she really were to stand a chance against that uninspired Daniel Collins.
But overall, still an amazing match.
Even though it's one-sided, at least we all know that Leila Fernandez gave it her all.
Of course, she's performing in her home soil. Of course, the Canadian crowd were rallying behind her.
But ultimately, there's only one winner and Collins came out on top for this match.
So yeah, overall, it's a good match.
Here are some of the match statistics.
So their head-to-head record, they've never met each other.
Yeah, so this is their first ever meeting.
And I hope that Fernandez will learn a lot from this match against Collins, who is, you know, her serves, her returns, her strokes.
Oh my gosh, everything was on point with Collins' game today.
And yeah, she's looking like she's a strong contender, honestly, for the title.
Lots of Americans in the deep stages of the Montreal Open for some reason.
So we already have Pegula, we have Goff, and now we have Collins.
