Hey, what's up? This is Dylan and Julian and we are hate more hate more. Sorry. No, this is
What's up? We're loveless. This is Julian and Dylan. What's up guys? And we're gonna give you some tour tips. Yeah
Tour tip number one I would say because it's always the first thing that I do whenever I leave town
Doesn't matter if you're traveling in a van doesn't matter if you're on an RV or a bus with a fridge if you're in a van
Get a cooler first thing you should do is go to like a Walmart or something and buy
Food buy things that everybody can eat that are easy to prepare like sandwich stuff
Things like that get a bunch of ice and a cooler if you don't have a fridge and get anything you think you might need
extra toothbrushes
You know floss you underestimate how much you need stuff like floss on tour and they have even if you're in a you know
A sprinter or whatever having that cooler of sandwich stuff will limit your stops
And the most important thing is getting where you need to go on time
So it'll be cheaper and it'll stop how much you actually have to stop for food and stuff like that
So I would highly recommend
first thing you do go get some food if you have a fridge put it in there you have a cooler put it in there and
Just get stuff that is easy for everybody to make it's not messy get some paper plates and plastic forks and stuff
Damn, all right
My tip is don't jump barriers. So
Don't jump barriers
I think it's really important because I'm gonna kind of loop this in with something else
Which is you gotta stay clean. You gotta bathe you have to
Find ways to do that on the road. It's kind of hard. So I would recommend just
bringing wipes bringing, you know
Disposable killing flies that are on your uh your bus
I'm distracted. Sorry, but as far as don't jumping barriers, I think it's important to don't hurt yourself
Yeah, don't hurt yourself when you're on tour. You have to be out save your energy, you know, don't expend too much
Yeah, you also don't know if you're gonna be able to stop to you know, get bandaged up or get antibiotics, whatever
That's why Julian Tan got infected because we literally just had to hit the road and keep going
We had no time to stop at an urgent care. So be careful. Don't hurt yourself
Don't get like have fun and everything but like, you know, it's it's rough out here and it's a lot more rough when you're in pain
So just try and take care of yourself. Don't get hurt
Yeah
This one's really important
I think for like if you want to be a band or if you are already playing shows you have to take the time to
Meet people you have to take the time to you know, get photos sign autograph sign t-shirts sign merch
Talk to people just have a conversation most most of the time people don't you know, they don't want a whole lot
They just want to say hi and tell you like how much it meant to see the show
So so be there be present always because you are not the most important person on there is always for the fans
Yeah, you'll lose a lot of fans by cool guy and people the more time you spend with the fans the more they'll come back
To your shows a tip for I know this seems obvious but get rest
It's really hard
Obviously, you know even like we have it pretty good in this RV, but like, you know that we have eight people on here
There's only two bunks and those are dedicated to two specific people. So is the back room?
So the loveless camp shares this whole front area Julian and I sit here
We all kind of take turns napping on this couch, but I'm really tall. I don't fit on this couch half the time
I'm napping there. You're in weird positions
Just get as much rest as you can when you when you finish your show go back to your van
They're hard. Tell wherever you're staying the more you party the worse
You're gonna feel the worse you're gonna play
You know, you can party when you go home have a few drinks have fun whatever but like take it easy get rest
you'll put on better shows people will enjoy the shows more and in turn that will come back to see you more and then
You will and then you get to tour more than you get to tour more
It's a fun cycle and then you die happy. Also, nobody wants to play a show hungover. Exactly. It's the worst
I haven't done it. I'm I have not gotten drunk on this tour, but not on this tour
But I have a lot so I don't do that anymore because I'm 30 and I can't
But yeah to do get rest get rest prioritize rest above
All I mean, I obviously eat drink water
but water but rest don't die as a general rule and maybe this isn't always for everyone, but I
You know, I I don't drink before a show and I definitely never perform hungover
I think there's just a level of you got to take care of yourself. It's it's it's not just about rest
You know alcohol messes with your sleep
So like even if you're getting 12 hours a night, if you're if you partied the whole night before you're not gonna
You're not gonna feel rested. So always always always drink lots of water and try to never perform drunk or hungover
Yeah, I mean personally for me. I flip the script. I don't party
I don't party at all
But like I'll have a drink or two before I go on stage or while I'm on stage and then after the show is done
That's the end of my party. Like I I have my party on stage two drinks. We load up
We go back to the hotel, you know, if I want to have a drink there, I'll have a drink there
But it's like we're not partying keep it. Yeah, keep it keep it tight
Yeah, there's plenty of time to do that when you're not doing this, you know
You're not performing for people exactly when you're not and when you're not having a bunch of other people who rely on you
Yes, exactly
