What we know with Thomas Frank is he trains his team in different systems.
In the system today is a back three.
Rebecca, Aya, Pinnock and Collins.
Collins make his Premier League debut for Brentford since his
29 million dollar move from Wolves.
You talk about flakking and goal into midfield.
It's experienced midfield.
They know the way round Jenson, Norgaard and Pignanel.
And then the front two.
We know there's no Ivan Toney until January.
So Umbermo normally plays in the wide position.
Looks like he'll play more centre with Wieser.
They have the responsibility of getting the goals for this Brentford team.
Well, there's four Premier League debuts for players in Costa
Coglu's first lineup.
Vicario starts in goal.
He's no Hugo Ruiz.
He's got the left hand side of the defence.
Micky van de Ven signed for 55 million dollars from Wolfsburg.
Dutch international, 22 years of age.
Udoge, who was on loan at Torino, comes in on that left hand side.
Skip and Basuma will know they'll do the hard jobs ahead of them.
Jungman's son.
He's the new captain of the team with Harry Kane gone.
James Madison's another making his debut.
Fifty seven million dollars signing from Leicester.
Really looking forward to seeing him in midfield.
Kulisavski is now signed permanently.
Thirty three million dollars from Juventus.
And Michelson, who's had a bit of a tough time
getting a settled position in the team, now starts up front.
Harry Kane's gone with 30 goals.
Michelson brings his one Premier League goal last season.
We're looking to make a mark at the top end of the pitch.
With the club legend now just part of their history.
Tottenham's future starts here.
First up in the Posta Koglu post-Kane era.
A side that has caused some problems in the recent past.
Van de Ven's pace stood out and got there quickly.
And gets there again with Brentford players down
on the edge of the penalty area.
The game is stopped.
Cristian Romero might have come off the worst of the two here.
Madison feigned for his set-piece delivery and firing it in.
No! Excellent from the first whistle and Posta Koglu's side lead.
What a ball from James Madison.
I was watching the bench and Ange Posta Koglu was high-fiving his staff.
What a delivery.
Has he just erred on the wrong side of the line, though?
Cristian Romero.
We'll get a closer look in a moment.
It's fantastic delivery.
He's begging for someone to get on the end of it.
Jenson, just away from Murgat.
Certainly is. Moving the ball quickly.
High press, winning the ball back.
And eventually getting a shot away, which Vicario is equal to.
But it has been a good reply by Brentford.
Corner hit him very deep this time.
A little variation on the Brentford theme.
And the overhead kick beautifully struck.
Straight at Vicario as it turned out, but well worth the attempt from Whistler.
Henry's ball in, he's travelled a long way.
Great switch of play from Rico Henry.
Helped on towards Jenson, he goes down and Rob Jones had a look.
Doesn't put Whistler to mouth.
Had a long, hard look at this, but there's the kick from Sont.
Vicario with a chance to make an instant impression as the Tottenham goalkeeper.
Barely 10 minutes after going behind.
This is some game.
And this is as calm as you like from Brian and Bermode.
Sends the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Brentford are level and deservingly so.
Spurs out the block so quickly.
It's been a fabulous response from the home team.
In 10 minutes, one debutant knocking it past another.
And Tottenham B's have stung themselves.
It's the first half that's had pretty much everything.
We've been talking about the channels and how Brentford have joy in those positions.
And they've done it again.
This time they get round Emerson Roy out.
This is in space.
Doesn't need to go to the near post.
He just holds his position.
Nico Henry does superbly to find him.
He gets a bit of luck and then gets a touch.
Takes it past Vicario.
Son bringing it forward now. Possession easy to come by for Spurs.
They've had 67% of the ball so far.
Two thirds throughout the game.
One shot on target for it, which was the goal.
Might they get another one now?
Sharp chance for Son.
That slices it wider than near post.
Maddison taking it on.
And a good turn inside.
And a great shot from Emerson.
And all this out of nothing.
Level terms, two apiece.
Beautifully struck goal from a man who's only a rare visitor to the score sheet.
How Tottenham need it back.
Well, to try and break this Brentford defence,
it was going to take something special.
And this is a terrific hit.
James Maddison wants a free kick.
He thinks he's failed in the build-up.
He's the one, though, that's in the space looking to create.
Falls kindly to Emerson Roy out on the edge of the box.
And the first time hit is perfection.
Right into the corner.
Flecking at full stretch. Can't get there.
It's a clean hit.
What a first half we've seen.
It should be 3-2.
Brentford and Bryan and Bermode knows it.
A glorious chance.
He has been brilliant today.
Defensively and going forward.
He's got the beating of Emerson Roy out.
What a ball on a plate from Bermode.
How's he missed?
It just bounces in front of him.
He hasn't been able to do that in his second period up to this point.
I wish I can find Jan Elb here.
There into a central area.
And then he's got to make the save from Damsgaard.
Clearest opportunity of the second half.
Yeah, it was a timid effort, really, from Damsgaard.
When this comes out to him, could he hit it first time?
I think he probably could.
A couple of deflections for Son.
Down with his foot at the near post.
Mounted again by Son.
Cleared by Collins.
And then over from van der Vaern.
Kasuma and Emerson Roy out.
Dedicating responsibility to the other.
And then Maddison's got it. It's a good ball.
Richarlison from a tight angle.
Flecken equal to it.
Back to a veteran Croatian again.
Into the far post.
Good play.
A second good trot across and catch.
And Rojaslav...
desperate to get it onto his right foot rather than his left.
Back in again from the ODC.
They've got it with it, Spurs.
And the VAR is having a look at the incident.
They've had one penalty today.
Brentford, might they get another?
Here's Shada.
It forced Shada to have the early attempt.
And he couldn't hit the target.
I think they might be having a look at a potential penalty as well.
Vicario come flying off his line.
Ball over the top.
Shada's pace.
Gets his shot away.
But does bring down the Brentford man.
Does he impede his attempt to get the shot away?
Probably not.
And this is the handball shot which has been checked and cleared.
And he was scrambling, Vicario.
It was across from Jürgensen.
But he's on the stretch and gets nowhere near it.
Armed down by his side.
Nothing to him.
Won't be too much more time to be added, you would imagine.
So there I was at halftime saying we'd get more of the same
in the second half.
Instead, they ran out of goals.
So Honours even then in West London 2-2
to kick off the new season for Brentford and Tottenham
a point apiece.
