If you ask me which drink is the most popular in Vietnam, I would say it's coffee.
And especially iced milk coffee.
It's very fragrant and delicious if you make it to the Vietnamese taste.
An iced milk coffee to the Vietnamese taste has the sweetness and richness of milk or cream with sugar.
We have the strong aroma of coffee, a little bit of bitterness.
It's not too bitter and it's absorbed by the sweetness and richness of the milk.
Drink it and we feel refreshing.
Iced milk coffee is easily available in every coffee shop.
Almost every Vietnamese coffee shop has iced milk coffee.
There are many coffee shops on the streets and alleys.
And the special thing about iced milk coffee is that you can buy it in small shops.
And it's extremely delicious.
Each shop has its own taste of coffee.
You can get used to the taste of iced milk coffee in this shop.
And if you go to another iced milk coffee shop, you can drink it and it's extremely delicious.
And it's a completely different taste of iced milk coffee.
Vietnamese iced milk coffee is usually made with coffee beans.
I think coffee beans are a very familiar ingredient in our family.
It's not surprising that almost every family has a coffee bean.
Its design is also very simple.
People can make coffee beans with lime and inox.
And I even bought a set of coffee beans made of straw and a set of coffee beans made of wood.
Basically, we have a lid.
This is the part where we put the coffee powder in.
The coffee has been grinded.
This is the part where we pour the powder down.
This is the part where we can put it on the cup.
With Vietnamese coffee beans, we can make things like black coffee and iced milk coffee.
And from black coffee, we can make a lot of different things.
For example, black coffee can be used to make Bạc xỉu,
which is a drink in the South.
It's a little bit of coffee and a lot of milk.
Or in the North, we can have egg coffee.
And there are so many variations.
We have Vietnamese coffee beans.
But we don't put any coffee beans in and make it to match the taste of Vietnamese coffee.
In the past, we were familiar with the taste of black coffee.
If a cup of coffee is loose, it doesn't match the taste of Vietnamese coffee.
For example, if we put 100% Arabica beans, specialty coffee beans in and make it to match the taste of Vietnamese coffee,
it won't be able to make a cup of Vietnamese coffee that matches the taste of Vietnamese coffee.
People have known the taste of Vietnamese coffee since the past.
So all the coffee brands I've seen,
Trung Nguyen coffee, Highland coffee, Coffee House coffee,
all the coffee bags they have have a little bit of caramel, a little bit of flavor, a little bit of butter.
To ensure that when we use it with Vietnamese coffee, it will have the exact taste of Vietnamese coffee.
In my opinion, the fact that the manufacturer put coffee beans in,
they put butter in the coffee like on the covers, this is completely normal.
Because our taste, we want to drink a cup of coffee that has a little bit of butter,
a little bit of light.
The manufacturer has clearly stated on the cover that these are our ingredients,
and we respond to your taste, you want to drink a cup of coffee like that,
and we can provide you with the exact coffee beans, the exact taste,
and you drink and you are satisfied with your product.
That is completely normal.
As I said earlier, Vietnamese coffee is usually darkened and they add a little bit of butter
or a little bit of additional ingredients to create the right taste.
However, some coffee makers still try to create blends that are close to Vietnamese coffee.
You can buy it, they will blend how many percent of America, how many percent of Robusta.
You can ask them to grind it or buy it and grind it yourself at home.
You can still make a cup that is close to the Vietnamese coffee taste that we used to drink.
The amount of coffee made with Vietnamese coffee is really simple.
In my family, we don't need to measure how many grams of coffee we make.
We just need to put about half of the coffee in this filter,
and put the milk in the cup first.
If you want to drink sweet or less sweet, put less or more milk.
Put the coffee in the filter.
Usually, I will make half of this filter.
Turn it over a little bit, cook the water until it boils.
The water is boiling, pour it up a little bit, wait 30 seconds.
After 30 seconds, I will pour the water up to the top of the filter and wait for the coffee to fall down.
Just that simple, we have a Vietnamese coffee, a milk coffee.
The attractiveness of Vietnamese milk coffee is indisputable.
I have many foreign friends who have tried this Vietnamese coffee for the first time.
They love it and they completely give up their coffee.
For example, I have a colleague from Greece.
In the past, he only drank Greek coffee.
But in Vietnam, I let him try a glass of milk coffee.
He loves it.
He loves the sweetness of coffee.
He loves the feeling that the energy brings.
He loves the feeling that the coffee drops.
He has to drink a glass of milk coffee every morning to bear the taste.
The coffee has fallen from the filter.
We stir it up, put the ice in.
Or you can taste it to see if it's sweet enough.
It's ready, guys.
Put the ice in.
Just enjoy it.
I'm putting the ice in a beautiful way.
In fact, we put a lot of ice in Vietnamese milk coffee.
A glass of ice is very full.
Like my wife, my wife also likes to drink iced coffee.
I have a few ice jars at home.
I fill it up with ice.
Then I pour the coffee in.
And that's it.
I really like the way to drink iced coffee.
Today, I only introduce to you a Vietnamese coffee.
A coffee that can be said to be extremely delicious and very popular.
We can drink this everywhere.
From the South to the North,
there can be this milk coffee.
Many people can only drink milk coffee.
They can't drink light coffee.
For example, light coffee like V60
or other types of coffee.
And even this milk coffee
is also a very famous coffee
for foreigners when they come to Vietnam.
Okay, guys, let's have a glass of milk coffee in the morning.
