Right, as you can see usually I'm making my lid, either the lid slightly bigger or this
one smaller.
So it's actually not perfect fit because I like to trim it slightly so it will fit perfectly.
Either trim slightly on this part here or this part here.
In my case I'm just going to trim this part.
So I'm holding this on my hand and after I remove some clay I can check it by checking
it.
Right, so I carefully remove little by little and now it's fitting perfectly and I'm going
to use the shiny rock to burnish and let my lid sit on the body and trim it together.
Trim the lid on top of my body so that I can look at the proportion of it.
For trimming the nub I usually will use my number 3, either number 3 of the 420 or number
3 of the regular one.
The key for doing that is that this part here I have slightly curved so it's very easy to
trim underneath for the finger holding part for the nub.
This one, this one, there's another one.
So it's different material.
The regular stainless 420 and tungsten carbide.
For most of them I can just use my tungsten carbide look tool to remove most of the clay
and do the final shaping using my number 3.
For now I can just use my tungsten carbide so it will do all the heavy lifting.
Alright, so this is my square look and now I'm going to bring my tungsten carbide number
looks alike, just different material, just different metal.
On the tungsten carbide you could hold the edge much longer, you don't need to resharpen
it so often versus the regular stainless they are made of a softer metal so you might need
to resharpen them more often than the tungsten carbide tool.
But the function is the same and usually you want to use the sharp tool to trim.
Alright, so for the final stage I will put some chattering texture here.
Alright, so this is the finished roller texture cover jar with a little chattering on the lid.
