I'm Kyle from Wake.
I'm Ryan from Wake.
These are our five tour tips.
Yes, number five.
Having a bunch of stupid in-jokes for the entire tour
is completely mandatory.
There's no way to survive doing 12-hour drives
unless you're willing to go completely ham
on a totally ridiculous topic for absolutely no reason.
It's gotta last for like six hours, too.
You need to almost descend into complete madness
at that point. Yeah, it's part of the game.
If you're not willing to be funny,
who is it that said,
if you're not handsome, you better be funny,
and if you're neither, join the army?
I think if you're not funny,
you're gonna have a hard time being on tour, so you know.
Number four is bring more money
than you think that you need.
If you think you need $10 a day, I'd rethink that.
I would make sure that you're clear
on exactly how much money you need,
exactly how much money you have,
and exactly how long you're gonna be on tour
before you set your budget.
What do you think about that, Kyle?
I am really bad at this
because I always think I need about $20 a day,
and it turns out to be about $40 to $50 a day.
I made the rule for you.
Number three is pay attention to your fellow travelers.
Sometimes if you get to week three
and somebody has a bit of a breakdown or a problem,
there's a good chance that in week one
you probably could have picked that out
if you were paying attention.
So it's really important to make sure
that you know what the people around you are feeling
and that you know what they're thinking
and that you can kind of like,
instead of just running to wherever it is
you're crashing, going to sleep,
make sure you get an idea of how everybody else feels
before you just kind of do your own thing.
It's good to talk it out.
We like to keep the dialogue open.
Don't let anything get too far.
So yeah, check out for each other.
Number two was make sure that you own your mistakes.
If you do something that somebody doesn't like,
you can't spend the next 15 days sitting on that.
That's not gonna work.
You need to be able to say,
hey look, sorry, let's move on.
Kyle is an expert at this
and both the one side and the other side.
I would say he's extremely good at that.
He's a master.
So yeah.
I learned from his example.
And the number one tip for tour
that I can give you from Wake
is never ever bring anything on tour
that you couldn't live without.
There's no way to know what's gonna happen
and if you bring something that you love and cherish,
possessions are fleeting
and they can disappear at any moment.
So if you think you got it taken under control,
you might not.
Five tips for tour.
