Three days before the reveal, we have not started with our styling yet due to delays
with few key pieces like our chandelier and the cabinet door replacement.
Fortunately, around noontime, I got an advice from our light fixture supplier
that the chandelier that we pre-ordered nine weeks ago has already arrived so we are picking
it up in their Capital Commons showroom before heading back to the unit. We then go straight to
the unit as we are also expecting the cabinet doors to be delivered today so we could right
away install them. This wasn't the original cabinet doors that I initially ordered but
because of my mishap that happened, I needed to get another set which turns out to be the
better choice which I will detail on the full makeover video. I had to create another hole
for the concealed hinges as the pre-drilled ones would not fit the existing cabinet provisions
that we upcycled. We were rushing the installation as we were only allowed to do noisy works until
5 p.m and we won't be back tomorrow Thursday as I took a day off for my birthday.
We came back early on Friday with a lot of installation works that we needed to finish
32 hours before the reveal. I went straight installing the cabinet hardwares and some of
our surprise add-ons like these Haltarp kitchen rails that we got from Ikea. Then one of their
wish list was to replace the kitchen faucet with a more efficient one with their favorite color of
that we got from Shadows and Patterns. But the day wasn't over yet because at home I have to
finish this custom painting together with my little apprentice. The story behind this I will share later during the reveal.
Five hours before reveal, this was on a Saturday but I had to take the skyway to make sure
we have enough time to do the styling. Dani and Arlen was scheduled to arrive early but since
our scheduled reveal is at around 3 or 4 p.m, we still have enough time to do some final touches.
Warning you guys ahead because I was too preoccupied back then. My apologies for the audio during reveal
our background might be a little noisy as I forgot to bring the microphone with me.
We changed the desk of course because originally it was just a desk, we painted it.
