Disappeared for millennia
This made him think that in these eastern lands
A part of humanity had played itself
But a long time ago
Since his childhood, Naramsin
Was immersed in culture, Sumerian literature
And the sciences taught by the best teachers
Naramsin was in fact the son of a Sumerian king
The powerful Hesardon I
But shortly after his marriage to the princess Libali-Sharat
A plot aimed at dismissing his father
Was led by the king's own sister
Her name was Zarma
And she was among other things a sorceress
The king was therefore the victim of a poisoning
The old advisor of the king Hesardon, the sage Kalazokan
Organized the exodus of the young prince to the countries
Where it was said that water and honey flowed all year round
He made allusion to Great Egypt
That of the pyramids and its brilliant civilization
Dating from before the act of the repressive gods
Called the Great Flood
From then on, he was destined for a life of solitude and banishment
At that time, the rivalry between the Sumerian states
Was commonplace
And Naramsin, who had been exiled from the city of Uruk
For political reasons
Was not the only one to suffer the same fate
Such was at that time the nature of man
Banished from his native land
He wandered far from the Mesopotamian plains
Seeking refuge in distant and unknown cities in the East
Legend has it that Naramsin
Guided by the stars and the will to change his destiny
Decided to cross the desert of Syria
Accompanied by some faithful of his court
And above all his mentor Hesardon
On a dangerous foot-trip
Dressed as a guinea pig
After months of pilgrimage
He finally arrived on the banks of the powerful Nile river in Egypt
A mysterious and fertile land
Which strongly contrasted with the arid and hostile lands of Mesopotamia
He was welcomed by the local inhabitants
Who were amazed by his wisdom
His strength and his knowledge of the arts and science
Naramsin had earned the respect of the Egyptians
And shortly after his arrival
He was crowned pharaoh
Under his reign, Egypt experienced a period of prosperity
And unprecedented peace
He introduced administrative and legal reforms
Built magnificent temples
And promoted trade with other regions of the ancient world
One of the most memorable acts of his reign
Was the construction of the first large dam of the Nile
Allowing better control of the annual cranes of the river
And promoting agriculture
Thanks to this, Egypt became the granary of the ancient world
And wealth flowed to the Egyptian nation
Which was not yet unified
Naramsin was also a great conqueror
He launched military campaigns
To extend the borders of Egypt
And consolidate his power
His armies conquered territories as far as Nubia in the south
And the Sinai Peninsula in the east
Despite his glorious reign
Naramsin could never forget his past in Mesopotamia
He had managed to overcome his initial banishment
But the nostalgia of his native land remained in him
He often dreamed of fertile plains of Sumer
And majestic temples of the Ruk
Finally, after a long and fruitful reign
Naramsin decided to return to Mesopotamia
To try to find his legitimate place in his original kingdom
He left Egypt with the respect and admiration of his people
But his return journey was never accomplished
Bitten by a sand snake
After a halt in the desert
He died without ever having found his native land
